Notes from the arena champ.
This is really no fun! Being Duelmaster this way, I mean. First, I luck into
the slot with a timely win over an NPC. Sheesh! Is that the way to earn the
Duelmaster Title? Then I draw a match with a Wrathman, Lala, who is more experienced
and skilled than me. And what happens? I luck into a win, but overplay and she
dies! Oh, my! One could say it is better to be lucky than skilled, and that would
fit me. But this is really terrifying!
I want to be a TRUE Duelmaster, not a lucky one. I want to be the best.
Perhaps I will get the chance to prove that I can be. If so, I hope to be skillful
and concise. I want to zap my drive down the middle about 300 yards. I want to snap
a sweet iron to within six feet of the hole. And I want to calmly stroke the putt
into the back of the cup.
Can I do it? Like visiting The Jack's casino, place your bets and come after
me. I can play!

SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly IAYE games. Former top team ALL JACKED UP was
unseated this week as LENPROS moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot with a
4-1-0 record for the round. My praise to WRATHMEN for their 4-1-1 week this time
out. Indeed, it was a skillfully fought round deserving of notice! BLIND LEMON
caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested
HONORABLE HAFALE and was awarded 23 points in recognition. In one of the week's more
notable duels, BLIND LEMON put down HONORABLE HAFALE, causing him to lose 17 points
of recognition in the process. As is fitting, the most sought after warrior on the
challenge boards this week was none other than Duelmaster PROFESSOR PUTT himself.
This time out LUMBER JACK made its bid for the throne as it challenged PROFESSOR PUTT
in an all out contest of skill for possession of the title! Although LUMBER JACK
made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of victorious PROFESSOR
PUTT. Heed this! A seer has warned that if exactly 6 die in duels this week, the
whole city shall perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city IAYE. I saw one fighter that warriors avoided when this week's
challenge seeking began. ALL JACKED UP is feared. This much I can say. Methinks
more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the better part of last
week avoiding ALL JACKED UP. Indeed it was LENPROS. At the gambling halls I have
started to bet money on SENATOR SMITH. He has got the courage it takes. Witness his
challenge this turn against CHEVY PACE! Do not the gods reward courage? SENATOR
SMITH it was that claimed victory in the bout, while also rising 24 points in
recognition.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. My condolences to ALL JACKED UP for
their loss of a very promising warrior, JACK POT. JACK POT went to doom before the
arms of MIDNIGHT BARKER, a warrior of RED DOG GANG. Some say a warrior is judged by
the way he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on
the belt!
The girls are as pretty in IAYE as ever I remembered them....and the fighters as
ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed a
stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!
