Notes from the arena champ.
Well.... my invite.
It's always gratifying when you are not the only one who recognizes your
greatness. I'd like to thank the Commission and the little people who made it all
possible.
I know it seemed like a brave challenge to tackle mean ol' Captain Jack with his
record and kills; however, that's rubbish. I punked him in the tourney and knew it
would be rinse and repeat back here in Iaye. I even laid down for a while so he
could feel like he was doing well. But the fight was never in doubt. Telling that
the bloke could teach me nothing, though, being the charitable sort, I wrote some
things down for him to do better at the end of the fight.
Challenging the ironically named Thinking Mind as a salute to his teammate
(read: I owe that YellowStream chump one) and the due to the fact that TM was my
first match up upon returning to Iaye after a 20 year absence. Funny how similar
that fight back on 740 was to the Captain Jack Thrash today. The good news for both
of you is that, being right handed and with your right arms in slings, you get to
feel like you are on a blind date while Rosy recuperates.
So, off to the Isle, I guess. Should find plenty of people like Heatblast to
put a shine on while I'm in that neighborhood. The team wants to come with me to
check out the Isle, so Iaye has seen the last of Lyric Legends like me for a bit.
Who knows, maybe they'll come back after checking out the big top.

SPY REPORT
Welcome IAYE. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights have I
fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... Up 'n down. Up 'n down.
Rankings always change. Up 'n down. I think I'm gonna be... Well, WEIRD STUDENTS'
5th moved them up to 5-0-1 place. What's with JACK UR JAWS!? It actually beat
NATURE MADE's THE GOBI, and walked away with 21 more points from the fight. Major
screwup at NATURE MADE. THE GOBI lost 17 points to JACK UR JAWS!. Some new
strategies, perhaps? Maybe THE GOBI will provide more easy wins... LENNOX was
reminded on the sands why BABA O'RILEY is Duelmaster. Wouldn't it be nice to have
live subjects to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted
prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... IAYE thinks NATURE MADE
and their 64-69-3 is too much! If at first you don't succeed, give up... In my day,
no team with a 64-65-3 would scare me off! What's the problem, WRATHMEN? What do
people see in THE THINKING MIND? His 11-6-0? NATURE MADE ain't talkin', but he's
got 92 points. ANTARCTICA of NATURE MADE knows how to pick 'em. He challenged
OUTBACK JACK of ALL JACKED UP who is up by 25. Now was this a wise move? ANTARCTICA
perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he was defeated by OUTBACK JACK and ended up
with 61 recognition points. I hate going to the effort of writing about the kind of
fights that MARVELOUS MARVIN gets in. He fights people like RED ROVER, 15 points
below. I thought MARVELOUS MARVIN showed great skill and promise when he subdued RED
ROVER. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. Here's some advice: study your opponent, master
many skills, fight dirty.
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.
IAYE is a nice place to live, but I don't like to live in nice places. I don't want
