The shell moved out into the harbor. Glancing back, The Icelord glimpsed a
section of the waterfront's retaining wall sliding back into place. It was well
done, to anyone not looking for it, looking closely for it, the exit would be
undetectable. And there was no obvious indication of the control mechanism; he
thought it was a spell, but the trace was so faint he couldn't be sure.
He turned his attention to Muirona. She appeared relaxed, though her fingers
were clenched hard against each other in her lap and her eyes darted back and forth
as she sang to the tree-sail. The shell moved at what would be a brisk walking pace,
slipping between the other ships in the busy harbor. No one appeared to notice it.
He felt around mentally for her spell, not to touch it, just to see what it was. A
patch of mist, or an illusion that appeared to be mist. Just as the fluttering of
the sail-tree's leaves appeared to be due to a wind but was not. Another illusion,
though this one masked some deeper spell that moved the little boat. But she had
said, after all, that elves were masters of illusion here.
Muirona had their transport well in hand, and Tempus and the Prince of Ar were
alert to physical dangers. At this rate, it would take another five minutes to clear
the harbor's breakwater, and The Icelord didn't think there would be any major
magical threat inside the harbor. Too many people, too many eyes, too close under
the warding built into the citadel. And that was what he needed to understand, if he
was to work here in this world. Most of the magic he could sense around him in the
city was invested in physical things. Not just talismans, which could be found on
any world, whether there was magic available or not, but spells that were built of
the stones of the citadel or created and shaped by the scallop shell fluting of the
boat under their feet.
He let his awareness move downward, seeking out the structure of the spell that
made this little boat what it was.
Nothing. Every time he thought he was about to see clearly the nature of the
spell, it slipped away. Either the spell was subtle beyond his understanding, which
he did not believe, or the actual structure of the shell was the spell. As soon as
he had that thought, he could see that it was so. The number of flutes, the depth of
them and the way they curved, even the layers of nacre, these were the components of
the spell, and the scallop-shell boat WAS the spell. In the same way that he formed
a spell with the pitch and volume and shape of his words, with the movements of his
hands and the inclinations of his mind, some master magician had shaped this boat out
of its physical materials. It was neither a greater nor a lesser magic than his, but
profoundly different. He would like very much to meet the person who had made this
boat.
Muirona's voice intruded on his concentration. "We are about to leave the
sheltered area," she said. "I am making us inconspicuous as far as I can, but if
Nishtar is determined to prevent--"
The Icelord turned his full attention outward. "See to our travel," he said,
"and I will see to our defense."
She didn't speak again, and he could recognize deep concentration when he saw
it. He kept his own silence and scanned the sea and sky around them with his eyes
and his magical senses. Under other circumstances, this trip would have been
enjoyable. Blue sky and white clouds, the water a deeper blue, ruffled with enough
breeze to reduce glare and provide coolness and visual interest. Other vessels
passing at a moderate distance; from their movements he deduced a shipping lane.
Here and there a rocky island crowned with trees and buildings, or a stretch of
shore.
A change in the water, a dark bulge as though it was being thrust upward from
below. A hint of some kind of spell that was already receding, maybe like the Gate
that had brought the monster to Chimlevtal. The Icelord noted from the corner of his
eye that the two gladiators were alert, aware of possible danger and ready to do what
they could. Good men. Muirona seemed unaware, but the spell that moved her boat and
hid it might take all her attention. And he had said he would see to the defense.
He was looking forward to an encounter with something he could get his teeth into.
It broke the surface like a small island, larger than most whales, black with an
oily iridescence. A wave of heat came from it. There were tentacles, water monsters
always had tentacles, and enormous yellow eyes without emotion and thus appearing
hostile. The general shape of the thing was difficult to determine and probably not
important. The tentacles were the immediate danger, the eyes the obvious points for
physical attack, once the tentacles were tamed. Muirona's steady chant faltered, and
the little shell skittered on the waves created by the creature's rising.
He organized magical power, poised for a moment on the brink of the spell to
check the balances, and began to speak. The spell developed in a cloud of glittering
crystals, which was an unfamiliar representation, but he could tell that the basic
spell was as it should be. It settled over the writhing tentacles of the creature in
a net of ice.
There was a moment when the air around them reverberated with shock. Natural
ice would have turned to steam upon contact with that dark beast, but he was not
called The Icelord without reason and he held it in the frozen state, drove the chill
inward toward the beast's heart.
Tempus and the Prince of Ar leaped from the little boat to the heaving flank of
the monster. The Prince had a spear, no, it was an oar, crudely sharpened with a few
whacks from a dagger. He lunged for the monster's nearest eye. Tempus covered his
back and hacked at any tentacle able to move against the spell's iron chill.
Something screamed. High, shrill, thin with distance. Not the monster in the
water, though it was wallowing and probably dying. Harmless, The Icelord judged, if
they got away before it lashed the water into a storm with its death throes. He
released his spell and was conscious of something else being released as well,
something he had not realized was including in the icy grip: the magician who had
summoned the beast. The scream cut off.
The two gladiators jumped back into their boat, landing heavily--it was an
awkward leap with both launching and landing places moving, and tripping over the
shallow fluting on the inside of the shell.
Muirona was clutching her little tree and staring at him, her chant abandoned.
The Icelord could see that she had questions. So did he, but this was not the
time and place for questions. "We should leave this area at once," he said.

Bosk looked at the escort, then back at the tunnels that echoed with battle.
After a moment, he sighed. "Okay, let's go see your queen."
The four soldiers or guards sorted themselves out, with perhaps less of a
military flourish than many, but quickly and efficiently. Two led the way along a
rising tunnel, and the other two brought up the rear behind Bosk and Molly. It might
have been that they were afraid he would try to run out on them--as if two of
anything could stop him if he wanted to go!  But the gnome didn't think that was it;
they were a rear guard, guarding his back against...whatever. Other monsters. He
could probably deal with other monsters better than those two could, also, but he
didn't say that. To bring up the rear in monster-infested tunnels required courage
above all things, and he would not imply doubt of theirs.
The group climbed stairs and went up ramps, passed through several doors which,
if they would not stop monsters, could be expected to slow them down a lot. Either
the queen of these...gnomes, for they could be nothing else, lived on or near the
surface, or he had been much deeper under the ground than he believed. Or, Bosk
realized, they could be climbing a mountain from the inside. Whichever it was didn't
really matter, not to him, but it would be good to know the situation. Just in case
he had to take off on his own.
Yet another stair, he was getting tired of all the stairs, turned a final
corkscrew and ended at an unpretentious door. The leading escort (they were going
single file here) knocked. A brief pause. The door opened, and they filed out into
a small room. His escort moved to the sides, and a door in the farther wall opened.
"You are to go on alone," Molly said. "The Queen is waiting."
Bosk glanced at her, but her face showed nothing, it was quite calm. This could
be a trap, but...no, that seemed unlikely. He shrugged a little and stepped forward.
When he was through the door, it closed behind him.
Not a throne room or an audience chamber, that was Bosk's first thought. He'd
seen enough of those to be sure. The queen of this place was meeting him informally.
It appeared to be a study or office of some kind. One wall was all shelves with
books and scrolls--proof enough, if he needed it by now, that these people were not
goblins. Not what HE meant by goblins, anyway.
Along another wall was a workbench with an artificer's tools and alchemist's
bubbling flasks, jars of mysterious powders, cut and uncut gems, and works in
progress. Bosk raised an eyebrow at that. It seemed...unqueenly.
     "I find it a relaxation."
     Bosk turned.
Queen Brunild was perhaps five feet tall, and older than he'd expected. Her
jaw-length sideburns were flecked with gray, as were her long braids. Her clothes
were good but not remarkably so, and she wore a simple golden circlet for a crown,
but he would have known her for a leader in any company. It was in the way she
stood, and her firm chin, and the calmness with which she was watching him.
Bosk swept her a bow. "I am High Lord Bosk, from Polaris," he said. "It is--"
"A different world," she finished. "But clearly one where they breed goblins of
high courage and courtesy."
Bosk's could feel every hair he had bristling, and he was sure his face was
turning red. But he would be courteous if it killed him. "In my world, we are
called gnomes," he said, and managed to keep it from being a snarl, but just barely.
"There, goblins are...not worthy. Of anything."
Brunild made a brushing-away gesture with one hand. "Civilized beings can look
beyond labels to see the reality." With her other hand, she indicated two chairs
with a small table between them, lit by a deep window. A platter held pastries of
some kind, and there was a jug and two goblets. "Come and sit by the window, and we
will talk of the situation in which we find ourselves."
Bosk sat, discovered that the pastries were meat pies and very tasty, and
watched with approval as Brunild poured foaming ale into both goblets. "What of the
situation as you see it, then?"
She drank, wiped foam from her upper lip unselfconciously, and shrugged a
little. "We did you a service in releasing you from Gorsh's dungeon," she said.
"Which you repaid by rescuing Molly from the fire-troll. So neither of us has a debt
of honor to the other and we can deal from a clean beginning." She looked at him,
eyebrows raised, until he nodded.
"So. I am told that you were seized from another world by a monster at the
behest of King Gorsh. Well, we cannot send you back to that world. The opening of
Gates between worlds is not a skill we have, even if we would pay the price in blood,
and we will not. Even the lesser Gates that would send you to some other place in
this world are outside our ability. Which leaves only two choices: we can see you
safely to the surface, beyond which you would be on your own. Or you can remain with
us for now and fight against Gorsh and the monsters his shamans call out against us."
Bosk drained his goblet while he thought. To be alone on the surface of a
strange world was not a new thing or a frightening one for him. And Gorsh had called
himself a gnome, did Bosk want to fight gnomes? But his behavior had not been what
Bosk would have expected of a decent gnome, and it was already clear that the names
were used strangely in this world, so maybe Gorsh was NOT really a gnome, as Bosk
understood that term.
And there would be battle here, and good ale, both of which were appealing. But
his sword-brother, The Icelord, would not know what had happened to him, if only
there was a way to get word to him--
A bell chimed. Brunild looked surprised, then reached into the deep window
embrasure and undid a latch, swinging on half the glass outward.
Bosk was not sure what to call the thing. It looked like a cross between a bird
and a miniature human, about the size of a crow. It had human-looking legs covered
in small feathers, but they ended in a bird's grasping talons. Feathered wings, but
there were three-fingered hands at the wrist joint.
It stalked forward across the deep sill and peered at Bosk with over-large eyes,
then turned to Brunild. "Doings abroad, Queen," it piped. "You'll not guess what!"
"Then you should tell me without games, Filary," she said. "What news from Mara
Balor?"
"Ah! The Tall king has invited an envoy from Carestos! He's actually going to
do business with the humans! Can you believe it?"
"Of course I can. It is an obvious course for him to take; I would do the same
if I could."
"No good will come of it! Bad enough to ally with the Talls. And this one is a
mage, you know how tricksy they are! Some kind of ice mage--"
"Do you know the ice-mage's name?" Bosk asked. "Have you seen him?"
The creature flicked a wing at Bosk. "Who is this? Must I listen to him?"
"You should answer his question, if you can. Honestly, mind!"
"I didn't hear a name," Filary said, sounding sulky. "They just called him the
ice-mage. And he isn't there yet, so of course I haven't seen him."
Brunild raised an eyebrow at Bosk.
"My sword-brother, The Icelord, almost certainly," Bosk said. "Is there some
way to send word to him? Nothing that would give away any plans you might have, just
that I'm alive and well, among friends, and with battle in the offing."
"Filary will take that message for you," she said.

                             Notes from the arena champ.

Ahh the bloodlust is upon me indeed. What a great fight with Mercurial Madman the
Killer. Live by the kill and you fall by the kill. Many times in that fight I
thought I was the one that would fall to the sands. But it was my day once again and
I ascend to my rightful place upon Chimlevtal's throne. I fear no warrior and never
avoid so I will not challenge anyone, but open my arms to all to try to unseat me. I
will retire after graduating to the isle. I had a long and illustrious career and it
is time for others to take my place in Tripwire's stables. My strengths and
weaknesses were: TP, 11(2)-17-13-16(2)-15-6-11(1), Good/Good, 8?/19/20(+4)/24/15?

I can't believe the violence in CHIMLEVTAL! I still haven't told Mom I'm
writing Spyreports. She'd have a cow! Well, here we go... Too bad, THE
STORMGUARDS, but BUSHMASTERS was just too good to be stopped. ALL NIGHT LONG had
like a really albendranius week! Those hunks got a 3-2-0 and wound up as 7th team!
I couldn't believe it. Did WHAT GAUL! really go up by 11? If only those guys didn't
have so may missing teeth... Gross! NECRONOMICON had like a really albendranius
week! Those hunks got a 4-1-0 and wound up as 18th team! Cut this out and put it in
your scrapbooks, DARQUE FORCES! 'Cause they got 4-1-0 and moved up to 2nd! MVP
award for UNHOLY TEMPTRESS? CHAMPIONS OF RUNE's proud of her after beating TEN-TON
TESSIE and getting 29 points. Talk about yer big time losers! TEN-TON TESSIE got
smashed by UNHOLY TEMPTRESS, and lost 14 points! This Duelmaster is like something
else! EVANDIS ETHUM stopped SHE MADE ME dead in his tracks! Who was the wiseguy
that said CHIMLEVTAL's Duelmaster was paying for drinks at The Victory Tavern? Don't
look at me!
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. STORMWATCH
was the most avoided team. Is a 205-228-10 record really that scary? Hhmph! What
kind of warriors are ALL NIGHT LONG? STORMWATCH, an easy team to beat if I ever saw
one, can't get them to accept an invitation! Can OVERLORDS' DAMHAIN THE SATYR be
more popular than me? He was challenged the most, but is that really the same?
Speaking of challenging 28 points above did you hear about 11TH COMMANDMENT of
NUMBERS GAME vs. OVERLORDS' DAMHAIN THE SATYR? (And how was that intro!) Like, was
that some fighting on 11TH COMMANDMENT's part, or what? And he got 28 points out of
it! (besides getting in my report) Poor DAMHAIN THE SATYR. Some fights are really
unfair. How do you think BAMBOO feels about being challenged by HORAGALLES, 32
points above him? A lotta people lost a lotta money in a lotta bets, when HORAGALLES
challenged BAMBOO, 32 points below and lost! Send 'im to the Dark Arena! See if I
ever talk to UNZOE THE SHAMAN again! CERIDWEN was so low when He challenged he.
Hhmph! UNZOE THE SHAMAN beat CERIDWEN. No surprise about that. Really I'm not
surprised UNZOE THE SHAMAN would do such a scummy thing, either. For sure, I was
holding my breath when I found out LITTLE NICKY challenged ULTHAR JARVA. After all,
haven't THE ADAM-S FAMILY and OVERLORDS had a long standing duel in CHIMLEVTAL? It
wasn't a spectacular fight, or anything, but ULTHAR JARVA wants me to write about it
since he was bested by LITTLE NICKY. Satisfied?
Man, all these warriors dying and killing each other! Don't you guys ever give
it a break? What if they had a fight and nobody showed up? I'd be out of a job,
that's what!!!
Remember, blood on a purple robe may stain. Soak it in cold water, and hand
wash. I know how much you like reading this stuff, but I really should stop. I had
a fun time, see you later-- Debby Tonte

Damhain the Satyr -- Wow, I simply couldn't get through that wall of defense you put
up. Very nicely done. -- Sywinell

Maskim Xul -- There is no dishonor in falling to two consecutive groin shots; I feel
your pain. -- Wardo Bard

Twin Terror -- I didn't realize I had challenged you again. I think I was just
looking at a good style matchup to get the wins I desperately need before the end of
the year. -- Berago

Badger -- Bad matchup for me for sure, I am a slow one. -- Ulek

Beer Bet -- Six turns to go! I need 19 more wins. It will be a tough task. I am
hoping for a very good replacement for Evandis. -- Tripwire

Dark Knight Blackstorm -- Did you get my snail? Hope to see you soon. Most should
be here soon, so let's get this popping off! -- D.K. Toker

Dark Knight Osiris -- Show us what that Blue Frog Company can do! No mercy and death
to cowards and weaklings! (grin) -- D.K. Toker

Overlords/Stormguards -- Salute! Turn that might on our common enemy and they shall
scatter before you! One B.F. to Oberon, even though it's likely Petrified Creepy
will win, it's just that I know Max will B.F. all four turns for my kill against his
stable and I would rather not give him the chance for four (supposed) wins! I will
never avoid a B.F., but I know it's a normal practice among the V.C.! -- Dark Knight
Toker, D.E.

Var -- It's time for both of us to clean ours up. Not very enjoyable at the bottom,
but things should change soon! Good luck. -- D.K. Toker

High Lord Bosk -- Tal warrior! I liked that definition. You have to keep it simple
for the criers. -- The Icelord

RTR -- She thinks you're boring? Her constant replaying of that "calico of cool" and
other such nonsense was dumb the first 1,000 times and it ain't getting any better.
No wonder she was exiled from Ghea for a decade. -- The Icelord

Maximillian -- Stop by "The Rusted Cutlass" for an ale. It's the place they proudly
display their motto: "Where the customer is never right." -- The Icelord

Firehawk -- The Oilers are "losers?" Well, they are the Western Conference Champions
and went seven games in the Stanley Cup final. Only one team had a better season
than them. <shrug> I dare say Edmonton has put together better seasons in the past
couple decades than those Leafs. I like Toronto but they are like the Blackhawks:
all excuses. Pronger? Good player but what has he won? Go Devils! -- The Icelord

Blackstorm -- You can have a max of three teams in an arena, your original and two
more if they are transferred from a closed arena. Good hunting! -- The Icelord

Dark Knights of the Desolate Empire -- We understand you'll be bringing steel to
Chimlevtal. Our arena is rich in history and always jumping. "Rovon's Deep" and
"The Rusted Cutlass" are the roughest bars in town and always a good place to throw a
few hay-makers. "The Winking Wench" and "The Golden Dagger Inn" have the best ale
and the finest ladies. Good hunting! -- The Council of Lords

Swine Tiger -- Our records show Maiden Daquerie held the title on turn #13 and Rude
Awakening held it on turn #14! Don't retire them, graduate them! -- The Council of
Lords

Tripwire -- Should be an interesting few months for sure. Hey, check out the team
spotlight on turn #60, bring back any memories? -- The Icelord

the Scribe -- Keep up the great work! -- The Icelord and High Lord Bosk

Buddy Lee -- Where am I? Damn this sucks! Here's hoping for the best. -- Liam

Maximillian -- Hey! Was wondering where you would pop us. Having fun yet? I am, I
think. Would seem I keep picking the right arenas to come to. Is Street coming? --
Liam

Norgen Pelh -- And what's wrong with the undead? Are we vampires not cool enough to
hang out with you? (wink) -- Liam the Goth

Dark Knight Toker -- And why is it that I picked the wrong side? Maybe it is you who
always picks the wrong side? Besides we all can't be Dark Knights, where would there
be if not for me always there on the other side. -- Liam

Kat -- Bad Stiletto, bad Stiletto. Paying me back? If so, I guess I had it coming.
Would you believe me if I said Buddy Lee...I mean the devil made me do it. (wink) --
Liam

Firehawk -- You spoke in the p-ads! Hmmm, it must mean hell has frozen over--just
messing with you. In the time I have been in Morya you have not said much is all. --
Liam
P.S. Now if only Fizban would say something.

Ungvar Stormhelm -- Best fight of the turn. Lots of fun. -- Obsession

Ulthar Cyazaresa -- Well I had fun. Thanks for the munin. -- Ash Golem

Herugrim -- Ahringol was on my side. Good fight honored one. -- Sir Brutus

Cacophonix -- Leave it to Maximillain to come up with new words for the English
language, or is he speaking Canadian (wink). Good fight. -- Chloe d'Morte

Dark Knights -- Man, do I feel like an idiot! You were all here to fight and my turn
didn't run. I'll have to make it up to you. Let's rip 'em apart. -- Dark Knight
Blackstorm

Liam -- We're ok. Just nothing lowly or dishonorable and we'll be fine. -- Dark
Knight Blackstorm

Dark Knight Toker -- Good to hear about your new guys. This team is solid. I have a
surprise planned in a couple of turns. I'll tell you about it A.S.A.P. -- Dark
Knight Blackstorm

Buddy Lee -- Of course not. Carry one. -- Blackstorm

The Icelord -- Thank you. We're gonna give 'em hell! -- Dark Knight Blackstorm

Dark Knight Osiris -- Hail, brother Knight. Good to see you. Sorry to have missed
the debut, but I'm here now. How much do you think they can take? -- Dark Knight
Blackstorm

The Icelord -- Tal and well met, Warrior. Ready for another tour, Great One! -- High
Lord Bosk

RTR -- Ready to rumble? Let's shake it up at the Rusted Cutlass this eve. Then we
can whore it up at the Winking Wench! Me loins are aching for some of that feisty,
hot red head lass again. The last time we nearly shook the roof off the joint!
Indeed! Hussah! -- High Lord Bosk

Kats -- <YAWN> You bore me. Get a clue. -- RTR

Apex -- <YAWN> You bore me. Get a clue. -- RTR

Stephen -- Just what I didn't need to meet up with this early in the morning. I was
tired and suggestible. -- Norgen Pelh

Wargasm -- (virtuous look) Us Shews don't do stuff like that. -- Mendal Omshil

Endor -- A dark dame, tricky and tough, I love it! Cm'on, dark dame! Let's party!
-- Les Nayle

Slate G35 -- Perhaps the arenamaster was having an anti-golem spasm, or perhaps it
was the handicapper in the first place to match us up. Whatever, a win does not come
amiss. -- Kolum Marod

Woodchuck -- Ah, but what if you CAN'T chuck wood, eh? Then you're up the creek. --
Loden Norvis
P.S. Figuratively speaking.

Liam -- Eh? No, Nick only manages our Delarquan teams. If you could call it
managing. I hear he made a strategy change this year. -- Jorja

Swynell -- That supposes I can get Jorja to send in a strategy change. Not much
chance. -- Les Nayle

Liam the Goth -- You are welcome to fight under the VC banner, anyone who wants to
thump COL/DE can't be that bad. Back to back brother, stand and fight, no running.
In this way will you gain respect. -- Maximillian, hardcore VC

Blackstorm -- Me an you!! There is no other way. -- Maximillian

Berago -- You are quite correct in your assumtion. Max has designed me to mature
dramatically past the 10fe mark. Thank you for your kind words. -- Metallurgix

RTR -- Flame?! Not me, swing hard steel! Yep! -- Maximillian

Flashman -- I never get high on my own supply. -- Getafix

Petrified Creepy -- I am the first, one thing to know about us Gauls, each warrior
will want his shot at revenge for our fallen comrade. -- Unhygienix

All -- Vitalstatistix was a 5-8-10-15-17-8-21 AB, he will be missed, arm yourself
creepster. -- Maximillian

ULTHAR UTHERYDES -- Your dishonorable tactic availed you not. Who will you send to
downchallenge little ole me this time. -- Getafix

Atlanta -- Good job, we'll try again soon. -- Metallurgix

Gorilla -- Couldn't even take a little tap with a menhir eh!? These Animals are
crazy! -- Obelix

Cacophonix -- No you can't sing at the banquet but I have arranged for you to
perform on a stage all to yourself. Don't worry about the torches, just sing as
loud as you can. -- Maximillian

30 June 2006
All -- I am looking for able bodied warriors, magic-wielding wizards, faith-healing
clerics, and quick-handed thieves to begin a quest requested by the Emperor of the
Southern Kingdom of Crailmia. All interested parties can diplo me in arena 93 --
Noblish Island, c/o Will-O-Wisps (1422) or write to me at -- Robert Bennett, 317173,

Soultaker -- Read your e-mail! -- Guardian

10 July 2006
The Dark Knights sat at the Dark Table with grim faces. All present knew that there
could be no quarter. The Forces of Desolation would be unleashed. There would be no
turning back, no mercy and no hesitation to do what was necessary. Teeth gritted and
knuckles whitened with fury as the IMPERIAL PROCLAMATION was signed by each Dark
Knight.
AS OF JULY 1, 2006 -- WAR IS DECLARED ON THE ALLIANCE KNOWN AS THE VENDETTA
CARTEL.
The Desolate Empire -- Dark Knights: Ancient Creep, Blackstorm, Dok Sik, Goat,
Heathen, Hatebred, Kon, Osiris, Toker, Wasby the Great

14 July 2006
In response to the Desolate Empire's declaration of war, the Vendetta Cartel offers
the following response:

The members of the Vendetta Cartel can be found in 1, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 22, 25, 28,
31, 39, 45, 47, 50, 52, 54, 59, 60, 100, and 106. Stop yapping in the all-arena ads,
pick an arena, issue a challenge, actually win something, and then maybe (and we
stress maybe) you may speak. You may come to our home arenas (8, 31, and 47) and
confront us, but we suggest you learn to win in your own "home" arena (52) first.
