Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings to all!
I was hardly expecting this after just arriving back into town two days before
the fights. Maybe before the next cycle Noble will actually train us a bit instead
of using us like "Molly Maids" to get the old guild house back in shape. The fight
against Omburt made me realize that this fighting stuff has really changed me.
During my hiatus, I had gone back to my old job of heading up a construction crew
working for the city. I'm much more confrontational now than I was before I stepped
into the arena, I scuffled with at least a few of the men working with me over very
minor issues! Sometimes I wonder if trying my hand at dueling was the right
choice... but not today! Today I am feeling exalted! Feast in my honor, lots of
pub... me likey!
What did not thrill me was the lack of turnout at the arena last turn-- both
from the participants and the fans. It was like we were back in dueling school and
there were a few people in the stands milling about to watch, or because they were
scouts-- but not a lot of hootin' and hollerin' goin' on. When I can hear the twang
of my sword hitting off Omburt's head-- that is not a good thing. Also, who am I
gonna face this week? G35 is the next highest rated warrior, and though I'd love to
take him down a peg or two, arena rules forbid us fighting. I always thought that
was a stupid rule... but I guess it's to avoid people throwing fights... or more
likely, unscrupulous managers...
I would anticipate a handful of us representing the city at the upcoming
tourney-- I hope to see some of you there and hope we all bring glory back home. I
hope to see us all recruiting/selling the arena a bit better also-- let's liven this
place up a little and bring some entertainment back to the arena! Until next time!

SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly CHIMLEVTAL games. OU812 caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested MANDIN ORWELL and was awarded 16
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, OU812 put down
MANDIN ORWELL, causing him to lose 13 points of recognition in the process. Although
OMBERT QURL made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of
victorious SNORTY MCSNORT. No confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team
has gained their position using magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report.
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing
is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in CHIMLEVTAL. Nice atmosphere you have here! More than a sharp eye must I
keep, indeed a stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari
