SPY REPORT

Turn 423... That is almost 32.5 years of dueling. And can we learn from this turn?
Slashers should avoid strikers! Otherwise, some mediocre whippersnapper of a striker
will embarrass your 13-4-2 slasher, take the throne, and help a team win 4 awards on
the turn! Also known as MILITARY MAYHEM. COLONEL KLINK led the charge for 3 of those
awards, gaining 25 recognition, the throne, and the chartered recognition award. But
the current top team award is always impressive. So Crip and his MILITARY MAYHEM
stable get the nod from me this turn.

We also saw a new most avoided team this turn. SHADOWHOLD took over that spot, edging
out AFTER MIDNIGHT by an avoid (7 vs 6 avoids). MILITARY MAYHEM is the team avoiding
the most. It was reported to me that FIRST DATE was the most challenged warrior, but
I always take that information with a hard drink.

R.R. SPIKE sent a pretty 13 point down challenge to HANZO. It failed... Miserably.
Though it is still a smart thing to do. When you do lose, you move way down in the
ranks. R.R. SPIKE is now at 10 recognition and only has ONE active warrior below it.
So all those tooty fruity up challengers will ignore the SPIKE and while his perfect
record is perfect no more, he has a great chance to get his challenge through next
turn. All the other challenges were upwards in recognition (they went 5-4).

And I haven't mentioned our undefeated records recently (largely because there haven't
been many/any impressive undefeated starts). R.R. SPIKE's ended at 3. TABOR
SKULLSHOT is top dog at 4 and WITCHING HOUR is sitting pretty at 3 in the Initiates
class.

AVENGERS, take note! This city and arena does not want RED PEPPER! Perhaps you'd
have better luck with BLACK PEPPER?

No Parry Lungers. No Parry Strikers. Slashers (gasp) are the top style (in both
performance and popularity). Ads by the regular writers (THANK YOU!!!) I thought
about all the nasty things I could say to the fine lady of culture, Lady Smith. But
there is little point. I have no desire to follow her way of life. Give me a loud
bar room any day of the week. I'll enjoy the company of the dregs of society. We
have WAY WAY WAY more fun! Lady Smith can turn her nose up at me every day of the
week. I'm better for it! My idea of culture would make her feint in shock and
dismay.

Algernon looked at the goats and sighed. No doubt it was a Good Deed to give
goats to people who wanted them. But why did the goats have to be gathered in HIS
office? Four of them, and they were a lot like gladiators: not smelly maybe, they
were clean goats, but pushy and sure they were the most important thing around. Maybe
they should be enrolled in the arena? No, there were only four, not enough for a
team.
He shook his head to clear it of the image of armored goats with sharpened horns.
One thing at a time. He pulled a piece of paper out of his desk drawer, dipped his
pen in the ink, and began to write.
