SPY REPORT

USEFUL WEAPONS provided me much joy this week, going 0-3. How did that happen?
Very simply. ANAIS slipped through the LASSO, BRASS KNUCKLES somehow thought they
could withstand the heat of a LAVA CAKE GOLEM, and SNICKERPOODLE pulled the plug on a
CHAIN SAW. I wish I could have seen the dumbounded expression on Lady Smith's face
after an 0-fer.
LAVA CAKE GOLEM moved to 4-0 with the win and is ranked at the very top of the
challenger initiates. Our other active undefeated warrior is trying to get out of the
spotlight as quick as possible. Challenging up 16 recognition and 18 fights to
WITCHING HOUR, FLOYD'S BOOKIE won (I can only hope learned 6 skills) and finished the
turn at a perfect 3-0, because next turn could find a match with a champion. If I
were LASSO or BASORN KUBIKIRI, I might just send an avoid for an up challenging scum
hunting young warrior with a TV challenge. Or perhaps FLOYD'S BOOKIE will go after THE
JEFF, our other resident tournament victor, who just sent a TV challenge to teammate
SNARKEY LIME PIE. So many interesting ways this could play out!
As usual, managers tread carefully, not wanting to upset the balance and utilize
the mighty down challenge. Nine of ten challenges were up in recognition. 7 of the
challenges were successful, 3 failed, including BRASS KNUCKLES' down challenge and
FOURTH SHOT's attempt take down PI CHAMAELEONTIS. I strongly suspect PI is graduating
at 20 fights. Will he also keep the throne for the rest of his time here in
CHIMLEVTAL? The PI count is up to three and the count down is also at three.
As usual, plenty of avoids sent out, 7 each to USEFUL WEAPONS and ASSASSIN NATION.
More than half of those avoids came from BASH BROS OCEAN and AFTER MIDNIGHT. A lot of
disrespect sent Weirdo's way, with only two warriors avoiding his AFTER MIDNIGHT team
this turn. CARTOON NETWORK, BASH BROS OCEAN JUST DESSERTS, and AVENGERS were all
feared more than AFTER MIDNIGHT.
This turn also saw 9 styles fight. Surprisingly, the missing style is the
striking style. Granted we only have nine teams active, but that is not the style I'd
have guessed first, second, or even third to be missing. As far as what styles should
be missing? Well pikers are high on that list. Talk about a bad style! And while I
wouldn't put bashers on my top 3 guesses, they are certainly deserving to be left off.
But I wouldn't guess them, because there always seem to be suckers running around with
bashers. Plus, Assur fights here. Does he ever NOT have a basher (or three) on his
team? Rippers can rest in peace. Plungers should be left in the bathroom.
There were ads, but I got sick to my stomach almost the moment I started reading
them. I need to remember to read from the bottom up!!! Then when I get to the Lady
Smith drivel, I'll have read all the ads that matter!
