SPY REPORT
I'll start with the team news this time around. BOURBON ST went 4-0, making Riff-
Raff proud, edging out BASH BROS OCEAN for the team on the move, and jumping up three
spots in the rankings. On the other side, SOLIS MILITES went 1-4 and dropped out of
career first place not to second place, but to third place. BASH BROS OCEAN did
enough to maintain the current top team award. The AVENGERS had the roughest time
this turn, going 0-5.
With FLOYD'S BOOKIE sitting, the throne was up for grabs. The top three warriors
going into the turn are managed by Weirdo and Crip. When the SGT. ROCK vs BAD BURRITO
match was announced, the stands filled up, everyone expecting this to by the title
fight. For 10 minutes they fought and while BAD BURRITO was prepared and conserved
his endurance well, it wasn't enough to overcome Crip's total parry. SGT. ROCK is the
new duelmaster. While I would love to see a BOOKIE vs. ROCK match next turn, I don't
expected it. I expect SGT. ROCK will look for easier targets and avoid the best
warrior to come through Chimlevtal recently.
The lone bloodfeud was a fun one, but unfortunately, the arenamaster stopped the
fight before the most natural ending... RICHARD vanquished BASARA KUBIKIRI in a 1
minute mismatched Bloodfeud brawl (a 44 point mismatch by the one warrior that has
beaten FLOYD'S BOOKIE). While not a down challenge, I do always enjoy the classic
style mismatch challenges. AB vs TP, TP vs LU, ST vs BA/SL, etc. You all know how it
works. This turn was BRASS KNUCKLES challenging WITCHING HOUR. WITCHING HOUR did
last 4 minutes, but it wasn't enough.
For the down challenges, there were two. Both by managers who know well how to
make them. Weirdo's EL CHUPACABRAS went down 28 points to face the lowly LUNA
LOVEGOOD (whose career is certainly not starting like she dreamed at 0-2). Similarly,
Smithy's DUMBBELL came down heavy on PEARL (who also may be wishing for a different
profession at 0-3).
I'm not sure if D. Noble intended to send CROAK EM BOUCHE to the dark arena or
not. If not, I would recommend reconsidering naming a warrior "Croak Em." Too often
names do predict what a warrior will do in its career. On its debut fight, say good
night to CROAK EM BOUCHE, who croaked in 2 minutes against CHARLES GOODNIGHT.
And I will close this report after a few quick stats on the turn:

That translated to 3 DA's, 1 BF, 8 challenges, and 12 other fights
49 total challenges (9 to AFTER MIDNIGHT, CARTOON NETWORK issuing 3)

Name Change-o-Rama -- Final Update
The gladiators looked around at the Commission's administrative office on the
Isle of the Eye. They'd been here before. The standard boxy building, the scurrying
clerks, the... goats browsing on the landscaping. Not as many goats this time as
before, only three. One came over to Zeke (not his arena name) and nuzzled his
pockets. He scratched at the base of its floppy ears, lacking a snack to offer. He
looked at one of the clerks. "I thought you got rid of the goats last year," Zeke
said.
"These are new goats," the clerk said with a sigh. "They're going to be shipped
out next week." He looked hopeful. "They like you, could you stay until then?"
Zeke sighed. Minding three goats sounded more enjoyable than fighting in the
arena. "I'd have to ask my manager."

Snatching his parchment away from a very determined goat, who apparently thought
it was a tasty snack, Rodney quickly dipped his pen in ink and began to write. "It is
our pleasure and honor to note that sixty-seven gladiators and teams have elected to
change their names, supporting the contribution of goats to deserving people. With
the Commission's matching funds, this has purchased three goats--a good goat can't be
purchased for a copper, you know. The goats are already en route to their new homes,
where they will be--" He paused and thought about it. "--very welcome. We wish all
the best to the goats and their new owners."
