SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly ARVAT games. There were bitter words at GEMSTONE
BEASTS' guildhouse after a 0-5-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into
11th. Dark Arena anyone? Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the
corner! Witness how this week UBER ACES went 3-2-0 to move up 6 in the rankings.
PROTON caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested
MICTIAN and was awarded 25 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable
duels, BIG LUG put down TUNRIDA, causing her to lose 16 points of recognition in the
process. As is fitting, the most sought after warrior on the challenge boards this
week was none other than Duelmaster PWCCA himself. This time out BUFFALO SOLDIER
made his bid for the throne as he Bloodfeuded PWCCA in an all out contest of skill
for possession of the title! The city has turned out in honor of BUFFALO SOLDIER,
for with his arena victory he may now lay claim to the highest position in the city!
No confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has gained their position
using magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city ARVAT. ARVAT, city of gladiators! Mighty among the names of thy guilds
is DEATH BY DESIGN, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly duels.
Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the better part
of last week avoiding DEATH BY DESIGN. Indeed it was THE VALKYRIES.
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? PWCCA must hold silent, for this week he was humbled in the arena
by a successful Bloodfeud won by BUFFALO SOLDIER of SECRET SQUIRRELS. Hail BUFFALO
SOLDIER for thy victory! Dark alleys may hide both secrets and assassins. In the
arena there is only the brightness of steel. Keep vigil always!
The girls are as pretty in ARVAT as ever I remembered them....and the fighters
as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Ahh, but I can hear the spires of a far
off city calling to me. I must away! Till we meet again, remember: a turtle walks
slow, hides head in a shell, and harms no one; a lion runs to slay its prey.--

The undead Arch Wight's leg fell off as Oran was trying to reattach it. The beast
howled and rolled, making it impossible to repair properly. Finally Oran turned and
shrugged, nodding towards the beast and pointing towards the Dark Arena entrance. It
was time to cut ties to the ancient undead and find another creature. This one seemed
to not take to this realm. -- Oran and Arch Wight
Chardras looked across the arena at the Khalhums dwarf they had brought in to face
him. Pathetic. At least it wouldn't put him on the throne. He had been told to stay
away. The goal was to push the beastly Greater Vrull to the throne so he couldn't
take it. Hopefully that strategy will pay off. -- Chardras
The Vrull looked across the arena, with an intelligent glimmer in his eyes. The
Aruaki Werecat Supermon was his opponent. He had studied this world's fighters,
taking in the curving blade of his scimitar, the thick pads of leather it wore. The
gong struck and the Werecat pounced, rushing forward in a slash. The Vrull casually
moved to the left using its wide spearlike claw on its right wing to disengage the
weapon arm. With a smile its other long claw shot in in viscous attacks. It was over
quickly. It looked at the fallen foe, itching to dive onto it and devour its flesh.
Its master would feed it well, however. It moved back, raising its clawed wings
skyward in victory. The creature liked this world. It was full of life in abundance.
It looked towards the arena, pinnacle the throne and grinned. -- Greater Vruul
Chardras looked at the bulbous Vesperti and shuddered. It was coming out of some sort
of transformation and had missed its fight. Slimmer now, it seemed ready to go.
These missed fights were a blemish. Something would have to be done.
