Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly NIATOLI ISLAND games. There were bitter words at
BOOKSHELF's guildhouse after a 0-0-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into
9th. Dark Arena anyone? Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the
corner! Witness how this week SACKETT'S & CO. went 3-1-0 to move up 5 in the
rankings. Did only my eyes note the 5-0-0 record which RAVAGING LORDS managed to
post this round? I don't doubt that such a record will draw challengers! THE
CRIPPLER caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully
bested THIMBELL and was awarded 23 points in recognition. In one of the week's more
notable duels, EGGPLANT put down SADDLE SORE, causing him to lose 9 points of
recognition in the process. The city has turned out in honor of SCREWFACE, for with
his arena victory he may now lay claim to the highest position in the city! Heed
this! A seer has warned that if exactly 6 die in duels this week, the whole city
shall perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In NIATOLI ISLAND "art" is a word that
has long since passed from the language! I saw one fighter that warriors avoided
when this week's challenge seeking began. DEATH PENALTY is feared. This much I can
say. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any of
CAT IN A HAT last week. Busy avoiding DEATH PENALTY? Loose talk at the arena has
reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after
LONIGAN. Watch your back! For some warriors honor is not important--only empty
victory. See, gladiators, how LIONESS of CAT IN A HAT challenged down 25 points to
LONIGAN. Surprising everyone, LONIGAN won victory over LIONESS, earning 22 points of
recognition in the process! A knave's just desserts are the sweetest victory.
SPROUTS SURPRISE must really be harboring a grudge against the THE SEWING CIRCLE
guild! Merciless, 24 challenged down RINTIRISSE points this week to duel with he.
All the city knows the duel went in favor of SPROUTS SURPRISE. I shall not fail to
spread the word in other cities of this "mighty" victory.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Strange what qualities come forth in the
face of certain doom. KILL ZONE has the town astir with the news of his Dark Arena
victory! Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing is sure,
better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
The girls are as pretty in NIATOLI ISLAND as ever I remembered them....and the
fighters as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Sadly warriors, now longer can I
keep thy company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon! Till
