Notes from the arena champ.
Mouths shut, ears open. There, that's not so hard now, is it Bashur? I would
like to use this opportunity to say how little each and everyone of you mean to me.
It is truly pathetic that this collective group of zeros has let a mediocre bum, like
me, ascend to the throne. Of course, considering the trash the IC was able to put
here, tis of no surprise. No surprise at all.
I thank Darkheart for supplying the easy victory. I thank the rest of you for
your undying adoration. The thundering applause every time I peek my head out the
door is a bit much, though. The important thing is that I am something now, while
you all are absolutely nothing.

If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
NIATOLI ISLAND brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. BRASH BROS XMAS turned their
3-2-1 turn into a 5th place rank in the listings this turn. Any better than this,
and you get put on hit lists. Now let's all watch OBSIDIAN HALL's heads swell from
their 3-1-0 this turn. Haa ha ha ha! Big shots, big talk, big deal. Of course,
we're all terribly impressed to see GHOUL GOBLIN win a fight and gain 21 points,
terribly. Tsk, tsk, GHOUL GOBLIN beat BLEAK and BLEAK lost 15 points. You're
breakin' my heart. VIXEN challenged NIATOLI ISLAND's Duelmaster for a shot at the
throne. And if variety is the spice of life, NIATOLI ISLAND may be getting bland, as
SMIRK SMACKMORE stays top dog in the city. I'm not in a very good mood today, but
why am I telling you this? You want to know what's new, don't you, NIATOLI ISLAND?
He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward. What's
the big D? BIG LAKE BANDITS was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily livered...
grumble... mumble... curse... And it looks like THE ILLEARTH avoided them the most
this turn. What a pack of would be losers, if you ask me. Hmph. Ooh, I'm
frightfully impressed, SPICOLI was this turn's most challenged warrior. Watch that
ego swell, sports fans. Looks like time for laurels or hemlock, DOC HADES was
challenged by PEACE, who was ranked 29 points below him. Well, ok, the upstart knave
(where've I heard that before?) won this match and gained 28 points to boot! Ha ha
ha, DOC HADES. I guess I can give a little credit to PRO 3 of 4 PROS & A HACKER for
challenging up by 25 to HODAR. PRO 3 lost to get 31 points of recognition.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. Seriously now, is it really honorable for
SPICOLI from NYE MAULERS to kill KODIAK and give THE ILLEARTH the chance to
bloodfeud? Mmmm, could be. And one more turn will show if THE ILLEARTH can
successfully bloodfeud that elusive SPICOLI over SORROWHARVESTER. Honor is like a
chainmail shirt, it only shines through use. Certain nameless cowards will doubtless
rebuke me on this one.
I was about to buy a new quill pen the other day, but some fighter took it for

In the interest of preserving our natural resources and preventing managerial writer's
cramp, census forms will be provided for warriors by request only, effective
immediately. Managers may register their warriors' races and/or favorite sayings by
simply writing them on a separate piece of paper and submitting them to the
Commission. Each warrior may have up to 15 favorite sayings. Each saying must be
categorized Jeer, Gloat, Boredom, Ouch, Victory and may be up to 80 characters long.
