TEAM SPOTLIGHT

Obsidian Hall

I've been silent on my recent grads so I thought I would quickly highlight the
last two here in a short spotlight for those who may have some interest.
Bleak is a 15-3-17-15-10(1)-12-13 ST, mod/mod, Mace. So named because his
outlook for remaining on the team after his first fight was in serious doubt. He
beat the odds and got a will train, and thus an endurance boost, allowing him to test
the waters as it were. He never once wielded his favorite weapon and frankly, who
would want to use a mace? Bleak has the distinction of being my tallest graduate to
date.
Brunhylda is a 11(2)-13(1)-13-17-17-3-13 WS with a QS favorite. She was rolled
because I had yet to have a WS graduate from this arena otherwise her low strength
would have <phrase missing? Hal was hungry.> For the majority of her career here
she hadn't the stats to try the QS but it became apparent that, once she used it,
this was the weapon. Ain't that right, Immoral Desire's Ghost!
I know you were all expecting triplets or double 21s or something of the like.
Who could blame you? The above went a combined 44-25-1 (63.8%) in arena play after
all!

Hello, my fellow citizens of the isle. It is I, your duelmaster! I'm glad I
finally attained the throne. I need to get my invite asap before Spirit loses
patience and sends me to the DA. I look forward to being queen for a few turns now.
Maybe I'll get some kills while I'm at it. Until next turn...

SPY REPORT

Thankyouthankyou. It's great for me, The Unknown Spymaster to be back in
NIATOLI ISLAND. Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid!
Coming up with a solid 3-1-0 outing, OBSIDIAN HALL has advanced 4 places in the
rankings. Hey everybody, watch out for MIGHTY KASHITZ, who flew up 19 points in the
rankings after mashing POLYPHEMUS like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. Ya know,
some days it doesn't pay to walk out on the sands. POLYPHEMUS was beat by MIGHTY
KASHITZ and drops 14 points. Well, everybody's pal VIXEN moved hers record to
19-18-2 by defeating WAR PIG in the Duelmaster's Title Bout and gaining 12
recognition points. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but an onion a day keeps
T.P.s at bay.
Here is other news that is of note. Here's a song for you: Who's afraid of the
big, bad XXX BANDITS? Big bad XXX BANDITS. Big bad XXX BANDITS. NIATOLI ISLAND's
afraid of the big bad XXX BANDITS. Tra la la la la! Okay, so I may not be funny,
but catch OBSIDIAN HALL's act in the arena. Those acrobats seem to be fairly deft at
running from XXX BANDITS. Well just about everybody wants a piece of AA SLAYER, who
was this week's most challenged warrior. Getting lots of flowers from sympathetic
fans was COLOSSUS, who was successfully challenged by GWYN THE HUNTER who had a mere
23 points more than COLOSSUS. Definition of petty: GWYN THE HUNTER defeated
COLOSSUS, a mismatch of 23 points. In a touching display by a 'touched' warrior,
ZYRO went after SPICOLI, who was higher by 18 points. Well, when the dust settled,
ZYRO beat SPICOLI.
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). Big deal, so 5 FINGER PUNCH got mashed in
the Dark Arena. With his face he was more at home with the trolls than with us.
(Waka waka). Well, the dead guy PLANTER just took WILLIAMSBURG MALITIA off his
Christmas card list. The poor guy's bloodfeud just expired with zippo results.
Congrats to ANDREW for revenging the death of his teammate (but more importantly,
feeding FEVER DOG a bit of dirt). Remember: alliances are great, but try and take
your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
Well, there's the manager of the NIATOLI ISLAND giving me the 'cut' sign (or is
that 'They're going to strangle you in the alley?). Well, there goes another Spy

forays. If you don't understand the meaning of the word "foray," check with your

Coward Bashur -- Indeed, the AA rarely feels the excitement a tourney offers the
lessor managers of Alastaria, such as yourself, and the likes of TUM or Managerr,
simple men with simple lives looking for simple solutions. Sad, in my opinion. We
have long contended that tourneys have ruined the arenas. Losers like yourself hide
behind 30+ tourney fights before fighting in the arena, which sent new managers away
from the game, and for what? So that ten years down the road you have warrior that
you can brag about in Primus? ADM is a lost cause, the most boring fights in the
land. Here is a summary of every fight in ADM:

Wash, Rinse, Repeat...
It takes a short time to get bored to tears and stop fighting in ADM. So, you are
correct, you will rarely see the AA planning out the lifestyle of a tourney warrior
because we are not void of joy like these other dorks. We do not plug ourselves into
the collective and see an AB, LU, or ST in every roll-up. In fact, it is rare that
we have 2 warriors of the same style on our teams as reading the same fight over and
over again is punishing. Indeed, it would not break our cold dead heart if there was
never another tourney, fights should be in the arena. Real managers can fight 5
warriors each turn and stand upon their merits, pussies need tourneys to pad their
