TEAM SPOTLIGHT
A long journey I have traveled. Over mountains, biting with Winter's cold
teeth, in forests and jungles with creatures and plants unknown to me, across plains
of vegetation and beautiful. Finally, across the ocean to this famed island, where
allies are strong and trust is a thing of legend, for I see two factions (maybe
three) that demand honor and loyalty, or the price of death for decommission will be
the answer.
I smile at such competition. Home is where I'll call Niytyoli Island, for a
lone soldier am I; independent and full of choices to make. The Arena is packed this
day, I quietly sit in the crowd and enjoy the carnage! Such slaughter! Awesome to
me, it is.
Welcome Niytyoli, my name is Xoden Nightshield and behind me is the embrace of

Notes from the arena champ.
Well, well, it's nice to be back on top. Spicoli, thanks for not wasting OUR
time and congratulations on your graduation (though I'm not sure how you managed it).
Do try to avoid Studcraft on your way out. Rumor is he has very strong hands.
You're sure to find yourself in a sticky situation if he gets them on you. Consider
yourself warned!
A little bird told me some of your aren't pleased to see me on the throne.
Well, that's too bad. I plan on staying here till I graduate. I'm going to go out as
the Best Duelmaster, Highest Ranked Duelmaster and Longest Consecutive Duelmaster
just to piss you guys off. Nothing would please me more than knowing you have to
look at my name every time you look at the awards history for the arena. You'll have
no one but yourselves to blame if you can't stop me.
My challenge(s) go out to War Pig. Su-eeeeeeee, su-eeeeeeeeeee, here little
piggy, I've got an apple and some steel waiting for you!

SPY REPORT
Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out NIATOLI ISLAND
to see what's new. Uncool, DUELMASTERS BUFFET. I mean 0-0-0 is bad. Will they will
be allowed to fight? I say use 'em for training practice! The guys at DYSTOPIAN
OVERLORDS like really pulled together to get a 4-1-0 this turn, moving up by 7. One
team deserves special mention 'cause they moved up 4 after going 3-1-0. Keep it up,
4 PROS & A HACKER! MVP award for PRO 1? 4 PROS & A HACKER's proud of him after
beating SIR EDWARD and getting 31 points. Talk about yer major upsets! SIR EDWARD's
match with PRO 1 cost it a loss of 36 points! Don't you think the Duelmaster is
being unfair? I think SSSINK! should let ZYRO be Duelmaster for a while, without
fighting about it. I hear the top team insists all their warriors get nine hours
sleep. They want photogenic fighters for PR photos.
I gotta admit I haven't been in "deep con caves" with any spies. Really, I just
wing this stuff. The warriors of THE ILLEARTH must be getting lonely. They were the
most avoided team. Do you guys know something that I don't? Hhmph! What kind of
warriors are THE APOSTLES? THE ILLEARTH, an easy team to beat if I ever saw one,
can't get them to accept an invitation! Can WILLIAMSBURG MALITIA's POLYPHEMUS be
more popular than me? He was challenged the most, but is that really the same? I'm
not so sure PRO 3 knew all the facts when he challenged GWYN THE HUNTER of BIG LAKE
BANDITS. I saw PRO 3 stumbling and dribbling at The Don't Drop Inn last week... Do
you think PRO 3 knew something before he challenged GWYN THE HUNTER? He got a win
and 23 points. What will the guy do next? BLACKTOOTH GRIM must not be a good enough
fighter to get in fair fights. He challenged ZOMBIE. 15 is a big difference.
(Well, that's what they tell me.) I thought BLACKTOOTH GRIM showed great skill and
promise when he bested ZOMBIE. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. Hey you guys, don't you think your
families would like to hear from you? Write! (Or have someone write for you.)
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be

won, so you contributed. I have to admit you have a way with words. You can twist
the facts to your advantage with the slightest opening. If your verbal tirades
weren't so twisted they might be fun to read. Perverted would be an accurate

Den -- You keep calling Bashur a coward. You are the coward. That is what gangs
are, all cowards. They cannot fight their battles alone. They get a group together
and hide in the shadows while their leader does most of the talking, then when he has
distracted his target, they all come running from every direction to attack the
target. None of them would do it alone, one-on-one. They have to outnumber him at
least 20 to 1. You are a classic example of a coward. You fear me in a one-on-one
battle. Not a chance you would ever call off your alliance and take me on without
