the falling snow. "This is Stonemage Street, isn't it?"
Her teammate Dinnian shrugged. "I'm new around here, how should I know?"
"Didn't you read the street sign?"
"Kailie, I'm just a boy from the hills, why would I know how to read? Did YOU
read the street sign?" He looked around at the buildings that lined each side of the
street, no more than sketched behind the snow. "Tell me again why we came out at all
in this weather? We should've stayed home, stayed warm--"
"Oh, right, you're saying they teach you to stay home, up in the hills?"
"Damn straight! This is first cousin to a blizzard, and no reasonable Shew goes
out in a blizzard, not if he doesn't have to. Of course, you orcs... everybody knows
orcs are d-- ah, not much concerned with the weather."
"You were going to say we're dumb about weather, weren't you?" Kailie turned to
face him, and she was close enough that he could see the heavy scowl on her face. On
her, it managed to look good.
Dinnian hesitated. To lie, or not to lie? She wasn't going to give him a lot
of time to weigh his choices. "Some orcs are dumb about weather," he admitted. "I'm
figuring you have a good reason to be out here, though. Just, well, how about if you
explain it to me?" He looked around at the blank-faced buildings. "What's a
stonemage, anyway?"
"It's just a street name. It doesn't mean anything. But I'm trying to get hold
of a guy who LIVES on Stonemage Street. I've got some questions to ask him, and I
figured it wouldn't hurt to have a Shew along to back me up when I ask 'em, okay?
And no, I am NOT going to tell you in advance what I want to say to this guy. Get
used to it."

I doubt MURSKA will ever be the same. The ON THE ROCKS guild has had a 4-1-0 turn
and deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this kind of thing
can lead. And let's see, ST MAGDALENE fought HAMMERHEAD and gained 19 points and
contributed to ON THE ROCKS' 4-1-0. DINNIAN has lost to FROZEN IMAGE, falling 13
points, while helping make CHILDREN OF LLYR a 3-1-0 turn. Due to his absence and
inability to defend the throne, SECOND WATCH has lost the title of Duelmaster. We
should ask ST MAGDALENE about the thrill of victory, and what being the new
Duelmaster does for a warrior, she's now the one to ask. By the way, was that our
Duelmaster that I saw last night, cramped under the table at The Dragon's Hangover?
Oriental wise man once say, 'Hiding behind shields prevents proper sun tanning.'
Inscrutable, but true. CHILDREN OF LLYR has cause to stand tall, as they were
MURSKA's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a team to beat. And
avoiding CHILDREN OF LLYR more than any other team we find ON THE ROCKS. MURSKA, are
we going to accept, or respect this sort of thing? The most challenged warrior this
turn was ON THE ROCKS' warrior ST MAGDALENE. More fighters challenged her than
challenged the Duelmaster! In a brave attempt, SKADI from URBAN JUNGLE challenged up
24 points to fight KELLY GALL from the CHILDREN OF LLYR stable. SKADI perhaps got
hers just desserts, seeing as she was subdued by KELLY GALL and ended up with 9
recognition points. LORD SNOW of URBAN JUNGLE had better have a good reason for
challenging down 10 points in a challenge which he lost. I thought LORD SNOW showed
great skill and promise when he was overcame by KAILIE RHINN. All right, so I slept
through it! Big deal!
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? ABEL BROWN must have surprised SEA DOGS this turn, after they sent
him to the Dark Arena, but the Dark Arena couldn't hold him! We'd like to remind
certain teams not to rob the graves of their enemies. You know who you are; and it's
considered rude.
