SPY REPORT
Greetings, Warriors of JHANS. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to give
you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. ACT OF MALICE after a
sorry 0-1-0 might want to consider abandoning the sands and taking up singing the
'Can't fight no more' blues! What's a move up by 4 you ask? (alright, maybe you
didn't ask) Cause for celebration, according to KARNIVORZ. Well, WAY OF THE SWORD
A7, you can show this to your parents. But you'll have to do better than 2-3-0 if
you want your names in this space again... WAY OF THE SWORD A7 had cause to
celebrate, after PAYKITH got 21 points by beating EMBEZZLING SCRIBE. A certain
someone should cut down on the drinking and practice more, after losing 6 points to
BUCKET HEAD. (Discrete enough, FULL METAL PYLE?) The arena was more crowded than
usual this time, as ANGRY WASHINGTON faced JHANS' Duelmaster. In JHANS, nothing is
permanent (except Death), and we find ourselves a new Duelmaster, ANGRY WASHINGTON.
So who was the warrior seen charging into immovable walls and challenging dead trees?
Someone's got a basic problem...
So much to report, so little time! To quell some nasty rumors, the guys in 5440
OR FIGHT! are not carrying any incurable diseases. No need to avoid 'em. The
warriors of 5440 OR FIGHT! found their efforts at combat frustrated as BLIND
HYPOCRISY apparently had more important things to do than fight. Is it charming
personality? Conversational abilities? Good oral hygiene? Whatever it is, PINK
BEAR is the most challenged warrior. Them's the breaks, PINK BEAR. Expecting fair
challenges from WOLF PACK is evidently too much to ask. Warriors of JHANS! Do you
wish your reputations tainted by the base challenge of CANIS LUPUS? As a confidence
booster, HALO 14 challenged KATHLEEN, down 18 points. Do you also slay vicious
rodents in your spare time, HALO 14? HALO 14 defeated KATHLEEN. The whole thing
leaves a bitter memory. Take heed JHANS, of the unprincipled action of TROJAN MAN.
By challenging KLINGER, 18 points below him, TROJAN MAN besmirches the noble art of
dueling. TROJAN MAN slew KLINGER with a point difference of 18. So this is what
JHANS calls a duel. This will make an interesting tale.
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Those who owe TRY AGAIN of SECTION HATE money and had written him off, take
note: he'S BACK FROM THE DARK ARENA!!! AND he'S MAD!!! KLINGER of SECTION HATE,
possessing a sorry record of 3-6-0, lost his last battle to TROJAN MAN of BLIND
HYPOCRISY. Young warriors, take note! Such is a failure's lot! Questions are being
raised about the disposing of severed body parts in the arena. A certain tavern in
JHANS would I avoid!
All good things must come to an end. As the seasons change, and the creatures
of the wild change also, so do I feel a yearning to leave this place. Like a mixed
metaphor, and an overtaxed simile, I now bid JHANS farewell-- Novgorodny Vir

ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF STORMCROWE SLAUGHTERHOUSE
The last Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse was one of the closest and most exciting
contests ever held in Alastari. Such an epic demands a sequel. Therefore, Master
Darque and Jack Wolfspider are pleased to announce the return of the Stormcrowe
Slaughterhouse.
Where? Stormcrowe DM 45 (slow). When? The Slaughterhouse returns on Turn 207,
due August 19. How can you get into the action? Bring a team (one per entrant
please) to arena 45 and announce your intention to join the contest in the Personals.
Rules: This time around the rules are very simple. Each warrior win against a
higher rated opponent (one or more points higher in the ratings) brings you 10
points, against even rated opponent 7 points, lower rated 5 points. Wins against
NPCs or by a warrior who downchallenges are worth 0 points. Points are doubled for
kills. All warriors in the arena whether participating in the Slaughterhouse or not
are fair game. Points are totaled weekly, and the contestant whose team has racked
up the most points at the end of 10 turns is declared Slaughterhouse Champion.
Prizes: To be announced; we're still talking with RSI about it. Figure it will
be something pretty good. But hey, who needs prizes when the honor of being
Slaughterhouse Champion awaits!
