Contest Report
First of all my apologies to everyone for not having a report appear in the last
newsletter. A bit of confusion over an attached file is to blame I believe. I'm
retrying this and hopefully everything comes through this time. The bulk of the
contest report is attached to this email (to make it easier to transcribe for whoever
does such things) but in case we have problems and you have internet access you can
go to www.geocities.com/bookieklk/flag.html to get every turn's report (usually
posted the Friday after the turn runs). [Note: Attached files are ignored by HAL;
anything you want to see printed in the newsletter should be IN the message you send.

What? We live? Deeeee---yaaammmm. A'ight. Well I guess before I go have a
talk with my manager we gonnaz have ta do dis here spy report. So let's turn this
mother out.
First of all we got ourselves a brand new overall leader!!! Ya, check this out!
Alfredo Frothensloshin' or whateva has come from fourth to first but what some are
callin' the upset of the century (or at least a thrown fight...we all saw Miscount
wink right before taking a knee to Hayride). Either case, if you make a TV challenge
vs. a Total Parry with your Basher you had best win the froth'n fight. Way to go,
Rillion!! Way to use the old noodle!! You just earned our "Froth up of the Week"
award for that slick move.
Another surprise came as out of the abyss of death Matrix laid a little smack
down and picked up four flags and was the fifth highest scorer for the turn!
Fortifex (13 pts) now only trails current leader Porn In a Barn by 11 pts. Plenty of
time to make up such a small difference when you think about it. You can score 11
pts in one turn can't ya, Scraggles? So far nobody's been able to break the 11 pt
turn mark and it's been done twice so far. Once by Alfredo and once by Rillion.
Hey!! Just how many flags does Hayride have now? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, SEVEN!?!?!
GOOD LAWWWDDD!!!! Guess who the most challenged warrior is going to be next turn?

Well, what are you looking at, JHANS? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Later days, THE CHADS, since REVELATION
took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. With any luck, I can sneak
into Lucas Lounge and join EXQUISITE CORPS II's celebration over their good record
this turn. 6th place, not bad. Look out below! THE DREAMING is on the way down,
falling to 18th from 3rd with a 1-4-0! Ha ha ha ha! Gee, I'm impressed, a 4-1-0 is
nice, but don't get cocky, HELL'S BELLES, the Fates teach humility, and the Fates are
proud. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see SPAWN win a fight and gain 20
points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, MORACH RAZH beat SHAWNDA and SHAWNDA lost 11 points.
You're breakin' my heart. CY challenged JHANS' Duelmaster for a shot at the throne.
And it's out with the old, in with the new, as CY takes the Title and last week's bar
tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh. Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes,
how else do you think some of these guys win their fights? Skill? Ha!
My mother always told me, 'If you don't have anything nice to say, start
talking.' I loved that woman. What's the big D? THE CHADS was the most avoided
team? Bunch of lily livered... grumble... mumble... curse... And who led the way in
this mass act of cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was MY BEST BUDS. Ha
ha ha ha! HAY RIDE was challenged more times this turn than the Duelmaster. Now was
the DM insulted or feared? Heh, heh. Now look at this. SHADOW STARR challenged
down 29 against LITTLE GIRLS LIKE...'s BROWN KITTY TOO. What a weasel! And golly
gee, SHADOW STARR subdued BROWN KITTY TOO. Aren't we all surprised and impressed? I
notice GAMBIT challenging down 21 points to fight FRANKENSLOSH, MEMPHIS MAFIA II
doubtless has some rotten excuse for such an insult to honor. This is the sort of
thing that makes the price of admission to JHANS' games worth it! GAMBIT was subdued
by FRANKENSLOSH!! I guess I can give a little credit to VEN of RAGNAROK for
challenging up by 19 to BLACKJACK. VEN lost to get 4 points of recognition.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. I could say I saw this coming, but so
could anyone else. Anyway, this turn it came. SCORPINE's 9-6-0 has earned him the
Dark Arena. Gee, REVELATION, ain't it past due for sending PRINCE OF LIES Dark
Arena? What took ol' '6-7-0' so long? Hope? Ha ha aha ha! A big yahoo goes out to
HAY RIDE this turn, for revenging PORN IN A BARN's bloodfeud against KARNIVORZ's
warrior CORPSE COUNT. Heh, heh, heh. Not that I'll be buying the drinks, but I'll
be glad to see KERRY BEAR and BLITZKRIEG at Lucas Lounge tonight celebrating their
bloodfeud victory over ACAPULCO GOLD. It's about time TRI-CORNER got beat for
