                                      SPY REPORT

The sages err'd not in their foretelling of a god descending upon CLIFFHOME, for
I, Novgorodny Vir, have returned! Practice pays for LEONARDO, who pummelled BENT
FENDER, to pocket 17 points. Now I can't insult ENTEI, as he has gloriously dueled
to the top. Oh great new Duelmaster!!! (Stop me if I lay it on too thick) Word has
it one team in CLIFFHOME is using psychics to predict wins. They lead a charmed
life!
And how sociable are CLIFFHOME's warriors? Come, let us see. Perhaps the
warriors of JINDA-BAN should take up some hobbies, as they are the most avoided
team... Like a pup with its tail between its legs, FIRE DECK scurried away from
JINDA-BAN. Oh, the shame! Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes, and SCROD BOY is
it right now. Most challenged warrior. Isn't INQUISITION CLONES proud! Willing to
win at any cost is ENTEI, who challenged SCROD BOY, 12 points junior. Our
sympathies, SCROD BOY! I thought ENTEI showed great skill and promise when he
overcame SCROD BOY. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Like the wind whispering among the pines, do hearest I many disquieting rumors.
Ask not a spymaster for counsel, for he will pontificate long after you have fallen
into an unconscious stupor.
All good things must come to an end. As if buffeted by forces of nature beyond
my control, I must take my leave of this place. CLIFFHOME, I leave you now. The
Duelmaster has agreed to foot my bill at The Choking Ogre. 'Til next time--
Novgorodny Vir

Five fights, and we are it. And all beginning with "Those in the stands shift their
attention to the warriors." I suppose we should feel complimented by that, since
they could have continued to watch the Wurm Kin (I hear he's a demon of some kind in
his "other life") dismember and devour those who have crossed him in some fashion.
They SAY that his, ah, "entree's" are those who owe the arena money, but I don't
believe it. The creature has been eating for an hour and a half now, and he's FAST,
there were LOTS of debtor-ke-babs. The Userous Merchant must have tossed in some of
his incorrigibles, too. Makes the days of simple "leg-breakers" seem like the Good
Old Days, doesn't it? -- Jorja, Jinda Ban

I absolutely did not owe M. Chardinee a penny. Which I am very, very glad of. --
Dasher
P.S. And by defeating him, I was able to at least tie Scrod Boy on points, thus
keeping him out of the title position. Ha!

Scrod Boy -- Darned fish. -- Riquettie
P.S. I knew somebody who chopped up scrods and buried them in his fields to
fertilize the crops. He said that was the only thing that scrod is good for. And
he's RIGHT.

That's the first time I've met a Captured Orc who wasn't hungry. Not that I mind,
you know, but it IS a bit of a surprise. -- Connie Pakkit

I don't know why we can't have guards ambitious to protect traffic on some of these
cliff roads! It'd be a useful task, after all. -- Bent Fender

A Convicted Thief? Is the arena really that hard up? -- Carter Pillar

Carter Pillar -- So you lost a hubcap, what's the big deal? Grab some other hubcap,
all the carriages have 'em. -- Laranso, Professional Thief

Bent Fender -- I can scarcely imagine anyone as useless as you. What are you good
for? -- Keallaninin, Ambitious Guard

Connie Pakkit -- None for me, thanks. The ol' Wurm Kin has been generous. -- Kablok
Krag, Temporarily Captured Orc

Dasher -- My dear, I believe you have been listening to those who are, shall we say,
not friends of mine or yours. I am no debt collector, and my non-arena interest in
you is totally... personal. -- M. Carlston Chardinee
