It's me, the toughest thug on da' block. It's got my invite and jis wanted to
give ya'll scum partin naledge. First of all my vitals is 13-12-10-16(1)-17-10-7
with good endurance and damage doing and my tournament record was a lowly 1-6-0.
High/High faves with Longsword being my favorite weapon. I'm bonused +1 in init and
Att and +4 par. To all those of you who lost to me 'm only AdEx init, Expert Att,
Part and Def. Now don't y'all just feel silly losin' to me; now off to git my butt
kicked in Darkholm.

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of XOCHITHLAN! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. MISS CON DUCK caught the eye of many
in the gladiatorial commission as she skillfully bested MYRON NAGEL and was awarded
16 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, MISS CON DUCK put
down MYRON NAGEL, causing him to lose 14 points of recognition in the process. Most
watched of the fights this week, the spotlight was on ZOOLANDER as he bore arms
against the Bloodfeud of reigning Duelmaster B.A. TURRY. This time victory fell to
the grasp of the usurper. All hail ZOOLANDER, Duelmaster of XOCHITHLAN! Informants
"close" to the city champion have told me that he never fights without pantyhose on
beneath his armor. Watch out!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In XOCHITHLAN "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! I saw one fighter that warriors avoided when
this week's challenge seeking began. DARQUE ANGELS is feared. This much I can say.
If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any of DUCKS
UNLIMITED last week. Busy avoiding DARQUE ANGELS? Mighty fighters cannot but expect
competition from those below. MYRON NAGEL take warning! You have more than a few
enemies in XOCHITHLAN.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. This week marked the last days of WHAT'S
UP, DUCK? who at 14-10-2 was dispatched to the Dark Arena by the command of DUCKS
UNLIMITED's demanding management. My hearty congratulations SELA TIMM, for thy
revenge upon HOMEY CIDE, slayer of thy fallen comrade. Next time he will know
better, eh? Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing is
sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? Sadly warriors, now longer can I keep thy

TOURNEY FREEZE CHANGE -- ADVANCE NOTICE
Beginning at the Winter Face-to-Face in Tempe (January 2004), we will implement
several changes affecting tournaments. The tournament announcement for the upcoming
FTF and future tourneys will reflect these changes.
First, we will eliminate the tourney freeze for all regular DM warrior classes.
Regular DM warriors will not be classed ahead of the tournament, but instead will
fight according to their FE on the date of the tourney. There will still be a freeze
for the ADM classes, occurring on the same timeline as before, approximately 6 weeks
before the tournament.
In addition to the above change, the warrior classes will be slightly altered.
The new tourney classes will be as follows:

All regular DM tourney classes will remain solely FE based. All ADM classes will
now be based on warrior characteristics (i.e., the ADM split algorithm), including the
Freshmen class.
The Gateway and Primus arenas will be merging before the FTF to form one top
arena. These warriors will be split into two tournament classes, the Contenders and
the Primus classes, again based upon their characteristics. More information on this
will be published in the newsletters for those arenas.
