                             Notes from the arena champ.

We've been over this, Pat. And over and over it. You've got a fixation. Or
maybe it's an obsession. Not healthy. Better fix it. Hmm, if you fix an obsession,
does it become a fixation?

                                   Timor Unred

                                      SPY REPORT

If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
XOCHITHLAN brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. Of course, we're all terribly
impressed to see CRATOR'S CAUSE win a fight and gain 16 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk,
CRATOR'S CAUSE beat UDARN VOYL and UDARN VOYL lost 12 points. You're breakin' my
heart. Our Duelmaster has lost, folks, lost to COLLABORATOR, BUT TIMOR UNRED is
still the Duelmaster because he has the most recognition points! I'm not in a very
good mood today, but why am I telling you this? You want to know what's new, don't
you, XOCHITHLAN?
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys. THE
MIDDLE WAY, I suppose you'll be glad to know you were this turn's most avoided team.
Care to know who is the most afraid of you? And it looks like PROPHETIC OMENS
avoided them the most this turn. What a pack of would be losers, if you ask me.
Hmph. Ooh, I'm frightfully impressed, QUITA ROSALA was this turn's most challenged
warrior. Watch that ego swell, sports fans. I guess I can give a little credit to
WORLD BRINK of PROPHETIC OMENS for challenging up by 19 to QUITA ROSALA. WORLD BRINK
lost to get 46 points of recognition.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. Honor is like a chainmail shirt, it only
shines through use. Certain nameless cowards will doubtless rebuke me on this one.
What does the XOCHITHLAN arena have in common with the inns? It's just as
comfortable to sleep in either place. Ha ha ha ha! Well, I've had enough of this
drivel, and I'm sure you have too. Off like a dirty shirt of padded leather. Glad
to see the back of this place-- Snide Clemens

Terror-Dactyl -- I don't blame you for that belly flop. Just know my initials are CC
so I'm just the right amount of medication to calm you down. -- Crator's Cause

Fallon Grimm -- I concede. You are faster than me. Luckily, I was able to use my
Elven mind power to pick your brain for your secrets though. -- Ripple Causer

Bettina Chim -- I'm going to have to get you some stilts. I'm too heavy to say bent
over trying to find you. -- Swirls and Arcs

Udarn Voyl -- I thought I'd have you if I made it through the first minute. Lady
Luck sided with you this time. -- Misty Form

Hidden Archer -- You learned the hard way that sniper positions on my brink are
useless. All the targets have already fallen over the edge. -- World Brink

Swirls and Arcs -- Actually, I would have said heavier on the arcs than the swirls,
and if you could do some sharp angles or even (gasp) straight lines, it might be best
of all. For you. I'm okay with watching you dance around. -- Udarn Voyl

Ripple Causer -- You were asking the wrong questions, grasshopper. -- Quita Rosala

World Brink -- It's true we tend to be grim in my family, but we have cause. We've
seen the writing on the wall. A lot of it. -- Fallon Grimm

Fallon -- That happens when there are kids around. Keep them away from the magic
markers and things will start looking better. -- Timor

Timor -- Very funny. I laugh. Ha ha. -- Fallon

Swirls and Arcs -- Not compatible? Drat. I find you very pattable. -- Fallon Grimm
P.S Maybe like Nash's quip, about a couple not being incompatible if he has income
and she is pattable.

We salute the tourney participants and wish there had been more of them. -- Jorja and
the Middle Way

Misty Form -- You seem to have upset some people lately--not your fault. They were
probably drinking the wrong stuff, or too much of the right stuff, and everything
looked like a misty form to them. You know how it goes, sometimes. But still, no
reason for them to shout and cheer for me just because I won. Well, maybe I wouldn't
say THAT, but the boos and hisses for you were unreasonable. It wasn't like you
CHOSE to lose, after all. -- Udarn Voyl

I view the Collaborator with deep suspicion. Who is she collaborating WITH, eh?
Could be something really nasty going on there. -- Quita Rosala

Ripple Causer -- Think of me as oil being poured on troubled waters, or something.
Not that I want you to think of me as oily, because I'm not. It's the elves that are
oily. -- Fallon Grimm

Swirls and Arcs -- The first three or four minutes weren't tiresome. Very, ah,
arabesque? All that intricate swirling. Decorative. Actually, you'd've looked even
better in something gauzy. Veils, you know, or silk scarves. That kind of thing. --
Bettina Chim
P.S. I don't see why I was listed as unpopular. What the heck did I do that the
crowds should boo me?
