new top team for all of you guys to dogpile on. STEEL WOLVES 2 now holds the crown
and they are betting they can keep it. Hey everybody, watch out for MORGANA BLACK,
who flew up 20 points in the rankings after mashing ULRIK VENN like a melon. Keep
your eye on this gal. Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on the sands.
ULRIK VENN was defeated by MORGANA BLACK and drops 15 points. Going for the gusto
and coming up with aught but bloody knuckles was XOCHITHLAN's ELITE ASSASSIN, who was
turned away from the Duelmastership by BETTINA CHIM. Can you believe they are paying
me 10 gold to deliver this stuff?
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the XOCHITHLAN arena. Well
dang howdy, but if challenges were votes, BASH ARTADI would be president. Although
it may be a contest he doesn't want to win.
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). Here's some advice: warriors with little
wit and will may encounter problems on the trail to the Isle.

my warriors they were all grounded after a disappointing (yeah, we'll go with that)
disappointing last go around. Actually, I think we just needed some time to regroup.
Missed you guys last time. Good to be back (I hope). Our newest Roughrider will
make its debut next month. For now, we have some unfinished business to take care

1) I've a fighter who throws a lot of "what a terrific blow" attacks with a certain
weapon; when I gave him a different weapon, he didn't get those comments and yet
took down (the same) opponent quicker (and I aimed and hit the same area). The
opponent war wearing the same armor. Does this mean anything?
2) Do longer fights teach more skills?
3) Is there a list of what each skill does for each fighter, and I mean past common
sense? Like, I've read in the handbook (Red Book) fighter can bluff or feint
attacks. Is this a result of high initiative or something? How about "leaping into
the air?" None of my fighters do such things. Again, no internet...

Lobo and Basti Artadi -- Regarding unexpected head shots late in the fight: One
thing you will notice after a while is that if you do a lot of damage anywhere,
eventually you will get the "death intent statement," the line in the fight narrative
that says you are "seeking the death of your foe," or some such. Once you have
received that statement, you will tend to attack vitals (head, chest, abdomen)
preferentially to finish off your opponent. The computers are bloodthirsty. -- Jorja
