SPY REPORT
So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. We now have a new top team for all of you guys
to dogpile on. BIG LAKE LUMBER now holds the crown and they are betting they can
keep it. Hey everybody, watch out for STRATOSPHERE, who flew up 19 points in the
rankings after mashing DOESN'T SLEEP like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. Well
here's a duelmaster that doesn't sit back and say 'Challenge me'! LOUD TOYS made a
Dark Arena Challenge against CAPTIVE GIANT this week. Going for the gusto and coming
up with aught but bloody knuckles was DARK ARENA's CAPTIVE GIANT, who was turned away
from the Duelmastership by LOUD TOYS. Advice to bashers--never force anything, just
get a bigger halberd!
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
Can any one out there say 'weasel'? Oh well, just saying MAWRIE RAWSH will do. She
challenged 16 points down to trash COLLYWOBBLES. Definition of petty: MAWRIE RAWSH
overcame COLLYWOBBLES, a mismatch of 16 points. PAHM LEIER of BIG LAKE LUMBER had
better have a good reason for challenging down 12 points in a challenge which she
lost. I thought PAHM LEIER showed great skill and promise when she was overcame by
FERNANDO. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). LOUD TOYS defied all odds and slew CAPTIVE
GIANT in the Dark Arena. The only ones displeased were the buzzards, as CAPTIVE
GIANT's meat is notoriously tough. Remember: alliances are great, but try and take
your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in XOCHITHLAN have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. Okay, so I may not be the
world's best comedian, but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. Its been
fun, and I'm sure you enjoyed it (boos). Now that I've got you worked up for Snide

Algernon, who had NOT gotten the name change he'd asked for, looked at the latest
petitioner. This was a typical gladiator, big, muscular, and scarred, with a frown.
"Ah, what can I do for you?"
"Name change. I heard we can do that. I'm tired of being Jane Doe."
"I'd think you would be," Algernon said faintly. "The Commission has actually
been thinking about this. It isn't FREE, mind you! It takes money to run our office,
you know, and we want to buy some goats--"
"I don't care about goats!" He made a crude suggestion about goats.
"Gladiators, teams, it will cost you two dollars to make a change--"
"I had a talk with my manager. He'll find the money. I want to change my name
