Notes from the arena champ.
Goodness! Goodness! I am so sorry that Dirty Coal is dead at my hands. I
didn't mean to end his life in the arena. I didn't! Sometimes I do not know my own
strength. And now I wonder if he was yelling stop, and I didn't hear? I can only
apologize, but that will not bring Dirty Coal back for Captain Planet. Mea culpa.
Mea culpa. Mea Maxima culpa.
I am a little too sad to write much else. To ease the pain I watched the Oscars
last night and was quite pleased to see The King's Speech win so many big awards.
Other than the mandatory Harry Potter #6, that was the one and only movie I saw all
last year, and I can only say it was BRILLIANT!

The sages err'd not in their foretelling of a god descending upon ZENSU, for I,
Novgorodny Vir, have returned! Win some, lose some. Speaking of which, I SAY NO was
winsome, after beating LORIS DEANE and seeing her lose 14 points. HEARING AID
successfully staved off a grab for the roses by CORBETT JOSYE of BEYOND THE PALE.
Does ZENSU have no one talented enough to dethrone it? Word has it one team in ZENSU
is using psychics to predict wins. They lead a charmed life!
A Zenmaster once told me, 'Does not the spinning wheel turn? And do not the
little birds cry out?' Any ideas? Like the noble eagle soaring amongst the
mountaintops, so stand the warriors of CAPTAIN PLANET, alone and unchallenged. Like
a pup with its tail between its legs, OLDER BY FAR scurried away from CAPTAIN PLANET.
Oh, the shame! Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes, and EARTH is it right now.
Most challenged warrior. Isn't CAPTAIN PLANET proud! EARTH found himself challenged
by a warrior 20 below: WHEEL CHAIR. WHEEL CHAIR of OLDER BY FAR kept its wits as it
bested EARTH.
Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! You've heard
about CORBETT JOSYE of BEYOND THE PALE. Death plays no favorites, and neither do I.
What was a 16-15-1 doing on the fields in the first place? Fair play must not be a
credo of OLDER BY FAR, as HEARING AID permanently removed CORBETT JOSYE of BEYOND THE
PALE from the competition in a mismatched fight. Questions are being raised about
the disposing of severed body parts in the arena. A certain tavern in ZENSU would I
avoid!
