                                      SPY REPORT

Hail and well met warriors of KATI-TEI! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team WANDERERS was
unseated this week as GLAD TO MEAT YOU moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot
with a 3-2-0 record for the round. My praise to OLD SCHOOL for their 3-1-0 week this
time out. Indeed, it was a skillfully fought round deserving of notice! MR. T-BONE
caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested
RUTHLESS JAYWALKER and was awarded 21 points in recognition. In one of the week's
more notable duels, LURLINE GRACE put down SPOCKA THE HUTT, causing him to lose 5
points of recognition in the process. Unwilling to wait upon the will of others,
Duelmaster GREW SOME GRUE Bloodfeuded JEHU last week in a match to decide the fate of
the throne. Not for nothing has GREW SOME GRUE in the past laid claim to the
Duelmaster's throne, and this week he's proven his combat skill yet again. Would you
believe that over half of the old women in KATI-TEI seem to feel that they could
fight better than you gladiators?
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city KATI-TEI. My inside sources tell me that the team to beat in KATI-TEI
these days is OLD SCHOOL. At least, most blades in town are looking to avoid them.
If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any of GLAD
TO MEAT YOU last week. Busy avoiding OLD SCHOOL? Mighty fighters cannot but expect
competition from those below. PARNIAN take warning! You have more than a few
enemies in KATI-TEI. For some warriors honor is not important--only empty victory.
See, gladiators, how RUBIX CUBESTEAK of GLAD TO MEAT YOU challenged down 16 points to
PARNIAN. The Fates are not kind to the cowardly, as evidenced by the fact that RUBIX
CUBESTEAK was subdued by PARNIAN. And who can now doubt that PARNIAN is a hardy
opponent? I can not but mention with disdain the name of HOLY SCHLITZ who this week
posted a challenge to a warrior a full 8 points below in the rankings. I thought
HOLY SCHLITZ showed great skill and promise when he defeated SATURN. All right, so I
slept through it! Big deal!
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Dark alleys may hide both secrets and assassins.
In the arena there is only the brightness of steel. Keep vigil always!
The girls are as pretty in KATI-TEI as ever I remembered them....and the
fighters as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Sadly warriors, now longer can I
keep thy company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon! Till
next we meet remember: a fool flies into a rage quickly and often. The wise are
angered by the same thing only once. Zontani Sharp Eyes

Several questions have been asked about Slaughter's Challenge that I'd like to
address and clarify.
     1) All Prizes must be used on the contest team, this includes the resurrection.
Remember any fast arena team should be able to transfer to a slow arena
(except for arena 82, I believe).
     2) Warriors will be allowed to fight and run in the dead tourney, should there
be one, and return if an opening can be made without breaking the rules
(i.e. only one DA fight allowed per team).
     3) If you win your single DA match you do not get another. It's one use of the
Dark Arena win or lose so if you want him/her/it dead be sure and throw the
     4) The resurrection potion's longevity has been extended by the commission to 6
months but the other potions (favorites, and +1 bonus) must still be used
within 2 turns and on a 5 FE or higher warrior. The resurrection can go on
         any warrior regardless of FE.

P.S. My thanks to those already entered (Hammer, The Consortium, Tripwire, Stik, and
Shaman) and hope many more find a reason to come to arena 54. Again, my email is

you need more info!

Amendment for "Fratsfas Quest for the Best!"
Managers that have teams already established in Fratsfa need not have (3) three
warriors in the initiates. FE will NOT be a factor. Stables may be entered at any
time. Just announce your stable in the p-ads.
This in my invitation to all managers who wish to prove their mettle against
managers from all over Alastari. We have limited TP's in this contest to one a team
at a time. We DO NOT want this contest to become a scum fest as many others have,
hence the Andorian arena. Good luck to all who come to prove their skills. "May
your enemies' blood flow freely" -- Dark Knight Toker, Desolate Empire Alliance
