                             Notes from the arena champ.

It would appear that we Wanderers fought nothing but standbys this cycle.
That's ridiculous, especially since they were the same two standbys over and over
again. Where is everybody ELSE? Oh, right, a closer examination of the newsletter
shows that NOBODY else at all fought, and it was only through the inattention of the
Evil Inputter that this arena even HELD fights.
     Pfui.

                                      SPY REPORT

     I can't believe the violence in KATI-TEI! I still haven't told Mom I'm writing
Spyreports. She'd have a cow! Well, here we go... MVP award for SPOCKA THE HUTT?
OLD SCHOOL's proud of him after beating FLUTTERLEE and getting 21 points. Talk about
yer big time losers! FLUTTERLEE got smashed by SPOCKA THE HUTT, and lost 18 points!
And I was just getting used to the ex-Duelmaster's habit of...(!) Oh well, welcome
GREW SOME GRUE. Aren't OLD SCHOOL proud. (Oh, my.) Who was the wiseguy that said
KATI-TEI's Duelmaster was paying for drinks at The Dripping Blade? Don't look at me!
I gotta admit I haven't been in "deep con caves" with any spies. Really, I just
wing this stuff. HOLY SCHLITZ is being unfair. He's challenged down 23 against
SATURN. I don't know why they let this stuff go on. (I'd better shut up) I was
sorry to see such an unfair "fight" in KATI-TEI. HOLY SCHLITZ got 2 points after
beating SATURN, 23 points below him.
Man, all these warriors dying and killing each other! Don't you guys ever give
it a break? Fight, fight, fight. Is that all you guys can do?
Remember, blood on a purple robe may stain. Soak it in cold water, and hand
wash. I'm getting tired of writing this stuff, so I'm calling it quits. Remember
you guys, ease up sometimes! Chill out! Later, Debby Tonte

I wonder why it is that the Commission employs so many dwarfs as standbys? The Kung-
Fu Master is a dwarf, and probably good enough at his job, but seeing him step out on
the sands with a full beard somehow doesn't...it isn't right. It isn't kung-fuish.
Kung-Fu Masters should be clean-shaven, and try to get a dwarf to shave! No way.
Still, this is my last appearance as a gladiator, and I don't even have to come WATCH

the fights, so maybe I won't mind. I'll have to think about that. About not
minding. Of course, I'll have NEW reasons to be annoyed at dwarves when I start my
REAL career as a cab driver. Dwarves are lousy tippers. -- Jehu

Kung fu masters can certainly have beards. They have long beards and moustaches
and eyebrows that are long enough to get mixed up in the beards. -- Ed.

Actually, I rather liked the move where the Kung-Fu Master tripped me with his beard.
It had the merit of novelty. Not much OTHER merit, perhaps, but I won't sneeze at
novelty. Not here. -- Saturn

I wasn't ready for the Khalhums Dwarf! Isn't he supposed to show up much LATER in a
gladiatorial career? -- Flutterlee

I liked him. Anyone who gives me a win is a good match. -- Parnian
