Notes from the arena champ.
I won the title fair and square by defeating the Virginal Concubine, and don't
any of you forget it. But I have promised the Kung-Fu Master a chance to say a few
words since, in a world that did not discriminate against standbys (or make them
fight twice in one day), he would have taken the title from Rambling Ox along with
his victory.
Over to you, Kung-Fu Master.

My thanks and a salute to Forandin, who is a poor excuse for a gladiator, but
then, he's human, and he's probably doing the best he can, bless his heart. By
rights, the title should have been MINE for my defeat of that ox, Ox. Bah.

SPY REPORT
Much has changed in KATI-TEI since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen
adapts to many situations, as do all successful fighters. What's with VALARELLE?
She actually beat RADIO CLASH's JANIE JONES, and walked away with 17 more points from
the fight. Laughs were big at WANDERERS while they watched VALARELLE clobber JANIE
JONES. She lost 14 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands.
KHALHUMS DWARF was reminded on the sands why FORANDIN is Duelmaster. Wouldn't it be
nice to have live subjects to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses
of convicted prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... The most avoided team
was RADIO CLASH. The bums at BIRDS couldn't face the challenges from RADIO CLASH!
No excuse for that! What do people see in GUNS OF BRIXTON? His 3-1-1? RADIO CLASH
ain't talkin', but he's got 26 points.
Warriors of KATI-TEI unite. You have only your games to lose! How long have I
been here? I got people to see, places to go...
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? Are
you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm writing it
