I see you DID try me again, Firehydrant Defiler. But I have to tell you, these
new yellow hydrants are, well, hard to defile. They're already defiled with that
dumb yellow paint.

Hail and well met warriors of KATI-TEI! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team WANDERERS was
unseated this week as DA DOG POWNDAZ moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot
with a 3-1-0 record for the round. Did only my eyes note the 3-1-0 record which DA
DOG POWNDAZ managed to post this round? I don't doubt that such a record will draw
challengers! ENGLISH BULLDOG caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission
as he skillfully bested DODO and was awarded 16 points in recognition. In one of the
week's more notable duels, TORE NAYDO put down N'KAI, causing him to lose 14 points
of recognition in the process. This time out FIREHYDRANT DEFILER made his bid for
the throne as he challenged MARLIN REEVE in an all out contest of skill for
possession of the title! The city has turned out in honor of FIREHYDRANT DEFILER,
for with his arena victory he may now lay claim to the highest position in the city!
Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that he never fights without
pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In KATI-TEI "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! KATI-TEI, city of gladiators! Mighty among the
names of thy guilds is WANDERERS, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly
duels. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any
of THE PLAGUE last week. Busy avoiding WANDERERS? Loose talk at the arena has
reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after DODO.
Watch your back! I cannot but express pride for the fearlessness of THE HAND OF DOG
who cast caution to the winds and challenged THE WAIT, a fighter 47 points higher.
Truth to tell, THE HAND OF DOG did not come out of the fight a winner, but he managed
to capture much attention, gaining 7 in recognition. I can not but mention with
disdain the name of WROLLING THUNDER who this week posted a challenge to a warrior a
full 10 points below in the rankings. I thought WROLLING THUNDER showed great skill
and promise when he was beat by OLD YELLER. All right, so I slept through it! Big
deal!
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Dark alleys may hide both secrets and assassins. In the arena
there is only the brightness of steel. Keep vigil always!
The girls are as pretty in KATI-TEI as ever I remembered them....and the
fighters as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Ahh, but I can hear the spires of
