There were just the four of them, or five if you counted Adabemis & Balmador as
two separate people, which Sue E. Syde didn't. Not much of an army to arrest a
governor. And just because "Princess Tirisha wants it done." What did the woman
expect them to DO? It was beginning to look like Adabemis & Balmador wasn't the only
crazy person around. She glanced at her companions and wondered if there was any
point in commenting on this. Not to the Dwarf with his two personalities, although
if one or the other didn't happen to like Tirisha.... No, not to him, or them. And
she had a good idea that Captain Shirivien already knew it and didn't care, at least,
not enough to run counter to Tirisha's commands. And her teammate Rob A. Ree...she
shook her head. Better just to keep quiet for now.
The streets of Rodeki were quiet, too. Very few people were out, and they were
keeping close to the sides of buildings and fading down alleys at first sight of the
group from Xochithlan. Expecting trouble, Sue guessed.
The governor's palace in Rodeki was not as impressive as Sue had expected.
Large, yes, but so...ordinary. It looked more like an office building than it did a
palace. It was built against the side of the mountain that closed in Rodeki on the
north, maybe even built back into the mountain, and it went up three stories with a
sort of tower climbing higher back along the slope. There were no majestic pillars,
no statues in niches (no niches), and only one balcony. And it was grubby. The
stone might have been light-colored originally, but years of the smelter smoke that
sometimes filled the valley had turned it blotched dark brown and sooty black.
Tirisha wasn't going to like this place at all; Sue E. Syde couldn't imagine her
living in it.
But that wasn't today's problem. Today's problem was taking it away from
Governor Milvares. Who wasn't likely to be taken by surprise....
One side of the big double door opened as the gladiators and Sirivien started up
the steps. She didn't recognize the man who came out--a Kannar, late middle age,
looked like a man used to wielding authority. It might be the governor himself.
When they were close enough to hear him without shouting, he said, "Why have you come
The gladiators instinctively looked toward Captain Shirivien. "On the order of
our lady, Princess Tirisha of Xochithlan," he said. "She has commanded us to arrest
Governor Milvares."
"On what grounds?" The man's voice was still calm, but there was steel in it.
Shirivien hesitated. "The Princess has not offered us explanation. It is not
our place to question, only to obey."
A voice from overhead said, "We could drop things on them from here, even though
we don't have proper stuff like boiling lead."
Sue glanced up. There was a short woman in a Dwarven helmet on the balcony.
A tall man in arena-issue mail came up behind her. "Not yet, Gate Witch." He
added something that the people on the steps couldn't hear, but the Dwarven woman
grinned and punched him on the arm.
The man in the doorway reclaimed their attention, saying, "Your princess would
be better served if the people around her asked for explanations and offered advice.
She would be wise to return to Xochithlan."
"Are you threatening Princess Tirisha?" Adabemis or Balmador demanded.
"No, I'm offering her sound advice. It would be a good move for her to leave
Rodeki. She has no place here."
"It sounds like a threat to ME." That was definitely Balmador, the more hostile
of the two personalities.
"If you think in terms of threats," the man said, "all things sound like
Balmador opened his mouth to make a retort, but She and Shirivien moved in on
him from either side, and Sue put a hand over his mouth.
"Your advice may be good," she said, "but we have our orders."
The man made a sort of half bow and stepped back, pulling the door closed behind
From the balcony, Gate Witch said, "NOW can we drop things on them, John?"
"I thought you were looking forward to fighting them in the halls," the man
replied. "If you drop things on them now, they'll never make it into the halls.
Which might not be a bad thing, when one comes to think about it...."
"Spoilsport!" Both gladiators on the balcony withdrew, and pulled that door
shut behind them also.
Rob A. Ree, whose many flaws did not include major stupidity, looked at the
closed door of the palace, and at the windows on either side, which were fifteen feet
above the ground in front of them and barred, and said, "Anybody got a pocket
battering ram?"
"I thought we were supposed to be able to just walk in," Adabemis added. "Now

Old Valamantis:

The group of gladiators moved toward the edge of the risen city as slowly and
carefully as they would have approached a sleeping dragon... that maybe wasn't
sleeping after all. There was a partial wall separating the buildings from the
countryside around them, but it must be outside the area of effect, because it was
not in good condition. There were gaps and fallen stones, even trees growing between
them where the ages had trapped dirt.
Smeds of Mordant patted one of the stones thoughtfully. "Honest stonework
here," he murmured.
"And more recent than the ruins," Shamu of Cliffhome agreed. "Six hundred
years, I'd say." He glanced at Smeds, and the other Dwarf nodded agreement.
"Built just before the most recent Chaos War," the Silver Mage said, "to keep
things in the ruins from getting out. Brought down by that war, at least in part.
But..." he touched several stones lightly and smiled a little, "not completely
useless even now and against this enemy. Honest stonework, as you say, but there is
a barrier spell bound within the stones, and it remains."
"If the spell is still working, why are we worrying about the ruins?" Smeds of
Mordant demanded.
"Because the spell will not keep working much longer." Tensekai frowned across
the wall into the city. "It was a good wall and a good spell, but it won't hold
Folstrom forever. Nothing--" He stopped and looked uncomfortable.
"You were going to say that nothing will hold the Folstrom forever?" Sputter of
Dwes Eg asked.
Tensekai shrugged. "No absolute statement like that should be trusted, but I
can honestly say that nothing we've found so far, except raw Chaos, will stop them.
We have new spells, of course, but what was there to test them on? We don't know."
"Yes, okay, but what are we supposed to be DOING here, then?" Lavender Lance of
Illis asked.
"You must observe," the Silver Mage answered promptly. "And I must go with you,
because there are some things ONLY a mage can observe. If we can find the keystone
of the spell that holds the towers up, we could destroy it, yes, and it might be a
good thing to do so, but the towers are just a symptom. There are more dangerous
things in Old Valamantis than just the towers."
"Those things being?" Smeds cut in.
"The wizards, obviously," Lavender Lance snapped.
"Again, just a symptom," Tensekai said. "Dangerous, yes, very dangerous,
Ka D'Argo, who had never been described as stupid, even by his enemies, nodded
slightly. "The wizards in Old Valamantis were resurrected along with the city," he
said slowly. "You think there might be some way for them to reach other wizards,
other Folstrom, of THIS time, don't you? That's what we have to prevent."
     Tensekai nodded.
     "How?" Smeds demanded.
"I'm not sure," the Silver Mage admitted. "Killing the resurrected wizards
might do it."
"But you don't think that's enough, do you?" Goblin said.
"No. I think we'll have to destroy the old city again," Tensekai answered.
"And that won't be easy with all the blood that's been spilled there. Not when blood
magic is at its strongest, as now."
"But it can be done?" Smeds asked.
"To get rid of bloodstains, soak in cold water and hand-wash," Lavender Lance
Tensekai turned toward her slowly, eyes wide. "WHAT did you say?"
The Illisni gladiator backed up a couple of steps in the face of his intensity.
"It's how you get bloodstains out of cloth. Soak it in cold water--"
"Yes!" The mage stared around almost feverishly. "We'll need a LOT of cold
"Ice," Smeds suggested. "From the mountains above Khalhums. Dwarves can do
that." He glanced at Shamu, who nodded. "We're on it." The two Dwarves stepped
aside, muttering together about sledges and sawdust.
"If the wizards now in Old Valamantis realize we're trying to... quench the
blood magic, they'll move to stop us," Ka D'Argo said. "So securing the arena and a
route of access will be our job."
"And if any wizards get killed in the process..." Goblin bared his fangs, "too
bad for them."

Old Valamantis:

Smeds of Mordant and Shamu of Cliffhome, both Dwarves, drew off to the side from
the rest of the group. Harvesting and transporting tons of ice from the peaks above
Khalhums was the kind of technical problem they relished, a true Dwarven sort of
problem. Let the others worry about fighting resurrected wizards.
"Can we quarry ice like stone?" Smeds wondered. "There's always heat associated
with breaking rock, what if it melts the ice?"
"It'd only melt some," Shamu guessed, "and we could stand that, especially if it
made things go a little faster. And there are plenty of Dwarves in Khalhums who'd be
glad of a little work these days."
"Closing the arena didn't close down the town!" Smeds protested.
"Up to a point," Shamu agreed, squinting into the distance. With the heat and
humidity over the Feyranse basin, the mountains weren't visible, but any Dwarf could
sense them. Why, they probably weren't much more than a hundred miles away! Well,
no more than two hundred, anyway. "But how are we going to HAUL all that ice down
here before it melts?"
"Wagons. One thing that did drop to a trickle in the last couple of years is
trade through the mountains," Smeds answered. "I've got friends up there, and I've
heard. There are LOTS of carters eager for a load."
"Right, and woodcutters in Caer who'd be glad to supply sawdust to pack it in, I
bet." Shamu agreed. "We can do this!"

"But I don't know ANYTHING about magic!" Lavender Lance of Illis was protesting,
"That's all right, I know lots about magic," Tensekai the Silver Mage said. He
patted her back in what he hoped was a soothing manner. "You've got something just
as good in a situation like this: you're a lucky guesser. Between my knowledge and
your luck, we should do well. Now..." he glanced around at the other gladiators, Ka
D'Argo, Sputter, and Goblin, "you do all understand the plan?"
"Kill everybody in Old Valamantis who isn't us," Goblin answered promptly.
Ka D'Argo suppressed a sigh and glanced sideways at the gladiator from Kaltos.
To Tensekai, he said, "We're to secure the Bloodgames arena and a corridor of
approach, hold it till the ice gets here, keeping the wizards out."
"It's the part about keeping the wizards out that worries me," Sputter of Dwes
Eg muttered. "Easy to SAY that, but they're WIZARDS. How are we supposed to stop

There were no ruins around Xochithlan to rise up at the wizard's call, because
the modern city was the old city, continuously lived in for longer than most
Alastarian cities had existed. There was, perhaps, a tendency for certain long-
buried residents to stir in their graves, but if any came out to walk the streets, it
was not immediately obvious.
What was obvious was the forest.
There had been a forest around Xochithlan for a long time, but it had been
burned away during the Rirorni War. Replanting efforts had been ongoing for the last
eight years, but eight years is not long enough to bring back a major forest. And
what surrounded the city now, pressing in against the walls and disturbing the newer
suburbs, was a major forest.
Not, however, a forest such as the Xochithlani remembered.
     This was a Forest Primeval.
This was a forest that might hide...anything.
And according to the scholars of ancient texts consulted by King Feyen of
Xochithlan, it probably did.

"But I don't trust gladiators!" King Feyen protested. "Why should I give them
this important job?"
"Because no one else will take it," Chancellor Leldys said. "The merchants will
not set their guards to clearing the road, each one fears that the others will hold
back men and attack those who strip their Houses of defense."
"The army, then," Feyen said. "What do I pay them for, anyway?"
"You pay them to defend Xochithlan and your dynasty, Sire. We dare not set the
army to the task of clearing the road, thus leaving the palace defenses understrength
now, when your half-brother Ferhis is showing his teeth. An army could be lost in
that Forest...or could change allegiance to avoid going into it. No, gladiators are
your best resource for this. Set them to clearing the Forest back from the road so
that we can resume our regular coming and going with the rest of the Federation--"
The king scowled and stroked his thin mustache. "I notice there hasn't been any
problem with THEM getting in contact with us--the Shagair."
The chancellor shrugged. "Their methods are not something I would recommend.
To use the old magic so freely...dangerous. Very dangerous. And surely you don't
want to see the Shagair as our only contact with the rest of the world!"
     "Well, they ARE our kin."
"I have kin I wouldn't trust. And the Shagairn ideas of what constitutes proper
payment for the Rirorni War Debt is not...."
"Not something we can pay. I know." Feyen sighed. "Oh, all right, we'll ask
the gladiators to clear the road. Land grants for every ten-mile stretch cleared to
a bow-shot back on each side...."
The chancellor blanched. "Land grants? Sire, you can't go handing out land as
though it was an endless resource! You--"
"SMALL landgrants, Leldys. I am NOT an idiot, you know. If you're thinking of
the unfortunate incident with the oryx and the lotus tank, I assure you that it was
all Tirisha's doing!"
"And I believe you, of course," the chancellor murmured. "But things would be
so much easier, Sire, if you had an heir--"
"I am NOT going to get married just to make things easier for you," Feyen cut
in. "There's plenty of time. Let's think about getting the road cleared first."

                                      SPY REPORT

Good day, in RODEKI a quiet thief gets rich, but a quiet spymaster gets poor.
So bring me ale and harken to my tidbits of news. It seems the training can make the
difference, as COLOR ME SUAVE is pushed out of top team by HIGHER PURPOSE, who came
from 3rd with a 4-1-0 this turn. FLAGG'S FIVE stable has parlayed this turn's 4-1-0
into a 3 space move up the rankings. This brings them up to 3rd place. Good work,
guys! The HIGHER PURPOSE guild has had a 4-1-0 turn and deserves to be watched in
the future. You never know where this kind of thing can lead. And let's see, CRIX
BREMOORE fought FUZZY BUZZCUT and gained 22 points and contributed to FLAGG'S FIVE's
4-1-0. This turn GUNSLINGER Bloodfeuded DUCEM in what was RODEKI's Title bout.
Defending his title for another turn, GUNSLINGER kept SOUTH SIDE BULLOCKS' warrior,
DUCEM, from claiming the throne. Tell me, is nothing sacred? I have heard from
unimpeachable sources that The Dripping Blade uses trolls in their stew. Talk about
The crowd's roar, the smell of iron and leather, mixed with sweat, what more
could a warrior ask of life? Well, besides that. SOUTH SIDE BULLOCKS has cause to
stand tall, as they were RODEKI's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a
team to beat. And guess who avoided SOUTH SIDE BULLOCKS stable the most? Believe it
or not, it was CLAN BATTLEAXE. Anyone surprised? Well, sports fans, take notice
that JOHN ROSE from DELVERS was RODEKI's most challenged warrior this turn. Tsk,
tsk, tsk. STUPID SEXY FLANDERS, does your manager know you're challenging down 19
points to fight JOHN ROSE from DELVERS? We're not surprised to hear that STUPID SEXY
FLANDERS beat JOHN ROSE, but I bet it would be interesting to hear why I'M SO SEXY
made such a challenge. BOZO from CLOWNING AROUND took a risk this turn by bravely
challenging up 40 points in a challenge against LIMPY TWO-SCREWS. Even though BOZO
lost the fight, he at least came away with a gain of 77 points for challenging on of
COLOR ME SUAVE. In a brave attempt, ADASHIR from HIGHER PURPOSE challenged up 22
points to fight NEON NECROBOOKIE from the MEMPHIS MAFIA stable. ADASHIR perhaps got
his just desserts, seeing as he bested NEON NECROBOOKIE and ended up with 55
recognition points.
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? Kudos go out to GUNSLINGER this turn, for revenging KING'S KREW's
bloodfeud against SOUTH SIDE BULLOCKS' warrior DUCEM. Well done. We'd like to
remind certain teams not to rob the graves of their enemies.  You know who you are;
and it's considered rude.
I like this place, RODEKI, the taverns have old wine, and young serving girls.
Who could ask for more? Always good to rest in RODEKI, but never good to wear out my
welcome. Look for me in future turns. Until you see my quill in RODEKI again,
farewell-- Alarond the Scribe

Suave -- All I can say is...if you kill him...you kill him. *shrug* And if you
don't... more reason for Necro to hold his head up and be proud. Bring it.... --
<awaiting you honorably> Bookie
P.S. OUCH!! Nice numbers...sorry 'bout that seriously.... *shrug*

Limpy Too Screwed -- Gee. Thanks for TWO skills!? Geesh, what the froth is up with
my learns?! Grrrrrr. And what's up with the Arenamaster applauding for you? You
two know each other? What exactly's goin on around here? Huh? Huh? HUH!? -- Neon
P.S. I ain't dead yet...ssssuuuuukkkkkkaaaaahhhhh!

El Rippoff -- Ok, you ripped me off and I want payback! -- Yankee Dan

Yankee Dan -- 11-15(1)-9-17-15-7-11 TP. Skills at: 16(+4)/18/20(+3)/24/21/18.
Faves: VL/LO QS--I tried QS 3 times. First 2 times looked great. Then I fought EL
RIPPOFF and made 12 attacks with 0 crits. I should have known better than to trust
an El Rippoff fight! -- Assur

Ann Artichoke & El Rippoff -- I've got my faves--you've got my challenges! Doesn't
the old saying go, eighth times a charm? -- Yankee Dan

Sushee Su -- Looks like I got the better of that one. Thanks for the skills, too!
Three at a time, even! -- Bozo

Suave -- -- Assur

Suave -- You want losses? Here I come, ready or not! Bozo's now a permanent fixture
in the upper ranks. But he'll gladly try and show Limpy how much endurance he needs
to win a fight! Meanwhile, Ronald M. will hopefully get his challenge through and
show MM the business. While I like beating you up, Yankee Dan is going to pass on
giving Fuzzy one last loss before he goes. He's got a score to settle with these
PR's that have been such a nuisance. -- Assur

South Side Bullocks -- My apologies, but Ronald has a bit of a temper. When Bayta
didn't laugh at his joke, he got a little carried away. I've talked with him and
told him to not take things so personally. Hopefully this won't be repeated in the
future! -- Assurnasirbanipal

Bookie -- Have you figured out the odds for all of Rodeki's tourney entries? Looks
like you've got 4 apprentices and an initiate. Ronald McDonald will be going as an
Initiate. Bozo's going to provide entertainment. Who else is representing Rodeki?
-- Assur

Yankee Dan -- I hold you PERSONALLY responsible for my graduation, and I thank you.
I will probably go into retirement, at least from the gladiatorial scene, but no
doubt I'll be active elsewhere. Adventures, things like that. I am 10-9-12-17-10-
13-13 EP low/high. My attractiveness and trustworthiness are quite good, but
otherwise I am ordinary. Nothing wrong with being ordinary.... -- Ann Artichoke

Bozo -- Oooooh, I do SO want to slice and dice you! Please stand STILL next time. --
Sushee Su

Virtuos Vixen -- Definitely a virtuoso, or is that "virtuosa," at learning, I see.
But then, I AM a good teacher. -- John Rose

Gunslinger -- I've been ripped off! -- El Rippoff

1977 Amc Matador -- Why do I feel like I've been hit by a truck? -- The Mole

Gunslinger -- I'll have to, you know, like, think about it, okay? -- Ann Artichoke,
not adverse to the idea

Bookie -- If you have had trouble with your face, could I suggest...soap? -- Harby
P.S. I couldn't resist that one, semi-sorry.

Flagg -- Sorry for such a brief piece in the last newsletter, I let time get away
from me. This time, though...we'll see. -- Harby
P.S. Nick pays the bills and so he gets the billing, as you might say. Officially,
all Delarquan teams mailing to this address are managed by Nick. But I do the work.
Such as gets done. Nick doesn't do a darned thing. Not a thing. What a lazy bum!

Assur -- Um, that's Muffy, not TUM. TUM's been threatening to return to Rodeki,
Talcama, and a diet high in fiber. Thus far, none of those are confirmed. -- Suave

Bookie -- Got your diplo. Sure, I wanted to kill Neon, but we can't always get what
we want. Ah well. There was a time when I was definitely the talkative type, but
nowadays I save the talking for when I have to get out of tight jams. I'll toss out
an occasional ad or DM column--it's been too long since I've held the throne, so I'm
sending Limpy after it this turn--but mostly, you have to prod me to get a response.
-- Suave
P.S. Give the alliance thing a rest. It's only important when you're up against
other alliances. I'm part of the Lobotomized Boys Association and you don't hear me
crowing. Congratulations, you have three kills. You have eight total wins. Eight.
Accomplish something, THEN make some noise.

Assur -- Who says your guys can't be both clowns AND puds? Mine are puds and jokes.
-- Suave

Flagg -- No harm in ignoring me. If I want to be noticed, I can make myself
noticeable. -- Suave

Assur -- Nope, not TUM. This is The Muffin Man. I made I'm So Sexy a while back and
decided to try and get Stupid Sexy Flanders out. It's going to take a lot of luck,
though. Now that your TP is leaving almost everyone up here is offensive. I need
someone to stand around and do nothing and your guy was perfect! -- TMM

TMM...TUM...not a whole lot of difference there. *grin* -- Ed.

                                 TEN TURNS OF HELL:
The KLK Capture The Flag Competition

In the spirit of the ongoing effort to make arena play what it used to be (FUN!!), I
am proud to announce the KLK Capture The Flag Competition. The competition will be
held in Jhans (DM-36, which has, by the way, grown in size equal to Talcama already).
:) We are announcing this contest early to allow managers time to prep.

-- On turn 462 (due 8/4/04) the lowest ranked warrior on your team is given your
team's 'flag' (he is your initial flag defender).
-- Starting on turn 463 (due 8/18/04) flags will be defended every turn and turn
463 is the turn scoring will begin.
-- Fights involving flags are winners-take-all and a warrior can carry as many
flags as he can win.
     -- If a warrior holding a flag either A) goes inactive, B) loses to a stand-by
warrior or C) gets DA'd, he forfeits all flags he has and they are returned the their
original team's lowest ranked warrior.
-- If you hold your own flag on an inactive warrior you receive NO POINTS that
-- If a warrior graduates to AD holding flags starting on the next turn those
flags will be defended by the lowest ranked warrior on the team of the graduating
-- Scoring as follows for each turn:
2 pts -- possession of your own team flag
1 pt -- possession any other flag
1 pt -- for each win
1 pt -- for each kill
1 pt -- for each award you receive in the newsletter
-- You may enter as many teams as you like (per RSI rules) but each team is its
own entry.
-- Tie-Breaker goes to the team that had the most points from flags.
-- If still tied the tie-breaker will be the team that had the most points from
kills. (It's the Delarq way.)
-- The contest lasts 10 turns and there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
(based on highest point totals)

Prizes: (what you've been waiting on)
1st -- 3 know favorites potions*
DA warrior named after winning manager
2nd -- 2 know favorites potions*
3rd -- 1 know favorites potion*

* These are full favorite potions (weapon, rhythms and tactics) and can only be used
on warriors with at least 4 FE.

How's that for paying out? (grin) Even if you think that it's all about the TC,
these prizes should be enough to draw you in. (You know who you are.)
I hope to see friend and foe alike come to Jhans. Legion, Froths, and all the
others...this is your personal invite. Can you win? Can you survive 10 turns of
Hell in Jhans?
Note: Special thanks to RSI for helping make this contest possible. Thanks

                             Death Fest Begins July 29/DM 59 T-172

"You drive a hard bargain Hammer," responded Lord Lian Ki Na-Sul, "but the
Gladiatorial Commission has agreed to re-open DM 58 Delarq Tor as a Slow Arena
exclusively for a period of six months to those Death Fest contestants who fight
their stables at least 67 times out of a possible 75 during the 15 rounds of Death
Fest; on the condition that at least 20 stables qualify for the Illis Iron Stable
Award at the conclusion of the Death Fest and those qualifying managers send a New
Stable to DM 58 Delarq Tor without Cannibalizing their participation in the other
arenas where they have active stables!"
Hammer felt a certain sense of satisfaction as he studied the ghoulish grin
spreading across the face of Lord Lian Ki Na-Sul; proud Arena Master of the once
dying Illis Arena, as the DM 59 Arena Authority signed the Gladiatorial Commission
papers authenticating the arrangement agreed upon by the two parties presiding.
"You and the Gladiatorial Commission also drive a hard bargain," Hammer replied
as he reflected upon the prospects of Delarq Tor DM 58 being re-opened as a Slow
Arena with at least 20 New Stables by the Managers who fight their stables at least
67 times out of a possible 75 during the 15 rounds of Death Fest. "I also notice the
clause that for Delarq Tor to be open Exclusively for 6 months to the New Stables
managed by the Illis Iron Stable Award Winners that there must be at least 15 stables
Active each cycle. That is a fair bargain for the opportunity to battle for the
Duelmaster Throne each of those six months before Other New Stables are allowed to
enter Delarq Tor."
This was a Golden Opportunity for both Veteran and Newbie Managers to pave a new
frontier of Delarq history by qualifying their Death Fest stables in DM 59 with 67
fights out of a possible 75; then for the price of running a stable in a Regular
Arena, continuing to be Active in DM 59 and sending a New Team Roll Up to be a part
of "History in the Making" when Delarq Tor would re-open for its First Turn as a Slow
Arena on November 3rd, 2005.
Death Fest would conclude on T-186 August 25th, 2005 allowing the Illis Iron
Stable Award Winners enough time to be registered with the Gladiatorial Commission;
whereupon they would be able to submit a New Team Roll Up to the GC to start a New
Stable in Delarq Tor; be able to fight those New Gladiators in the Rookies 2005 Fall
Mailer Tourney; then begin competing for the DM 58 Duelmasters Throne in Delarq Tor
right out of the gate with the November 3rd 2005 T-1 Debut Opening Round.
Hammer of the First Part had also negotiated with Lord Na-Zul of the Second Part
an agreement that All 10 Dark Arena Monsters and 17 NPCs Characters be re-named by

Fest Designation for which Top Ten Finishers re-name which characters!]
Lord Na-Sul could not hide his delight at the prospects of Death being re-
delivered to his once dying arena during the Delarq Death Fest; the DM 59 Arena
Master agreed that these Death Fest Prizes were but a Small Exchange in Comparison to
the Profits to be made by the local Illis business merchants and surrounding
community from the Anticipated Influx into Illis by the Veteran and Newbie
Managers/Gladiators/Stables seeking to make History in the Delarq Death Fest.
Nor could Hammer conceal his jubilation regarding the Call Across Alistari being
Answered to Cross Blades and Match Wits with the Devious, the Diabolical, the
Dangerous and the Down Challenging who were being drawn to the Delarq Death Fest to
Fulfill their Delarq Dueling Destiny!
