                                      SPY REPORT

Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly RODEKI games. MIYAGI'S MIATA caught the eye of many
in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested THE MOLE and was awarded 22
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, MIYAGI'S MIATA put
down THE MOLE, causing him to lose 17 points of recognition in the process. Although
JOHN ROSE made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of victorious
GEORGE STARK. Heed this! A seer has warned that if exactly 6 die in duels this
week, the whole city shall perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. My inside sources tell me that the
team to beat in RODEKI these days is KING'S KREW. At least, most blades in town are
looking to avoid them. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard
pressed to find any of FLAGG'S FIVE last week. Busy avoiding KING'S KREW? Mighty
fighters cannot but expect competition from those below. BOZO take warning! You
have more than a few enemies in RODEKI.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Some say a warrior is judged by the way
he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed a
stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!
Till we meet again, remember: a turtle walks slow, hides head in a shell, and harms
no one; a lion runs to slay its prey.-- Zontani Sharp Eyes

Virtuous Vixen -- Oh, ha! Virtue? You? I don't THINK so! You're sinister, is what
YOU are. Probably the Lady In Black hired you to bedevil that DARLING manager of
yours. But some of us are ON to that plot. -- Sushee Su

Venomous Concubine -- I recommend that you go visit the Virtuous Vixen. You two seem
to have something in common. -- John Rose

1977 Amc Matador -- You Dwarves are really, really strange. That name? It's a
nonsense name is what it is. Because it's OBVIOUS that there are NOT one thousand
nine hundred seventy-seven of you, and a good thing, too! That would be too much. --
The Mole, chastely remaining solitary (at least on the sands)

The Beggar was actually rather amusing, in a pathetic way. -- Handsome Is

The Embezzling Scribe was not in the least amusing. Especially when he whispered to
me that he "knew what had happened to our pay chest." And then he didn't tell me,
and I hadn't realized that ANYTHING had happened to it, but I went and looked, and it
was empty except for three peanut shells and a slice of orange peel. Sinister. --
Handsome Does

Bozo -- Oh, well... if it's only the mime gig, and not the Black Big Top, I guess
things aren't so bad. I know a place that serves good raw fish, if you'd care to
join me there? -- Sushee Su

Ronald McD. -- Ah, that puts a different face on it. Should I say "break a leg"? --

22 October 2004
                         Youngblood's Three and Out Contest

I would like to take this time to announce and invite all managers to compete in what
I think will be an awesome contest. If you haven't ever TC'd at a tourney before,
here is your chance. The contest will start Wednesday, December 1, 2004, but a
chance will be given November 17 to dark arena, only, any warrior that you do not see
fit to run in the contest. So now that I have your attention, here are the rules
(like you didn't know they were coming sooner or later).

 1. Any manager participating can enter one team, only.
 2. No sandbagging whatsoever. (I will keep up with it, every turn.)
 3. No teams or warriors will be allowed to run after contest starts.
 4. All warriors will run until they lose three times, after three losses they are
     eliminated.
 5. If a warrior sits out a turn, they are accounted with a loss in the contest.
This is to keep warriors with winning records from sitting out until the end of
     the contest.
 6. If a warrior is killed during the contest, the replacement cannot enter the
     contest.
 7. If a warrior is killed, bloodfeuding is allowed, but only by a warrior that is
     active in the contest.
 8. If a warrior is run after being eliminated, the manager is disqualified from the
     contest, no questions asked.
 9. Challenges are legal, up or down.
10. Contest will keep going until 1 warrior is left without three losses, and that
warrior, of course, is accounted the winner.
11. All managers participating will be asked to purchase a rollup certificate, to be
awarded to the winners of the contest.

                                    <<<PRIZES>>>

As I have already said, and according to participation, rollups will be awarded
to the first and second place managers. So the majority and minority of the rollups
will be determined when all are accumulated.
Contest Champion--2 Faves prizes, and majority of rollup certificates
Contest Runner-up--1 Faves prize, and minority of rollup certificates
So once again I invite all managers old and new to participate in what should be
a fierce and challenging contest. <<<REMEMBER, FIRST OFFICIAL TURN OF THE CONTEST IS
DECEMBER THE FIRST, AND AS I SAID BEFORE, THE TURN BEFORE (NOVEMBER 17TH) YOU MAY
DARK ARENA CHALLENGE ONLY!!! ANY WARRIOR WITH ANY FE (FIGHT EXPERIENCE) WHEN THE
CONTEST STARTS WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE CONTEST.
