                                 DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
                             Notes from the arena champ.

I forgot to write a column last turn and the fates were kind enough to give me
another chance this turn! But I will not assume that will happen again, so I write
my column this turn, thankful for what I've been able to do! This is my 4th turn
here on the throne, which is approximately 3 turns more than I would have predicted.
I am really not that good. I don't even have enough skills for the commission to
honor me with graduation. Assur says I should get the call after my 50th arena

This turn, I offer my challenge to Sushee Su, my favorite person in the whole world!
She took me to this great raw fish place. I must say that it is a much different
experience than the golden arches! But we had a great time. Then, last week, I took
her to the Golden Arches and showed her a different walk of life. I think she
enjoyed it and I want to learn that trick she did with the fries. Either way, if I'm
gonna lose the throne to someone, I want it to be her! She's my friend, forever! If
she decides to retire after her career here in Rodeki, I'll probably give my land
grant to her, as I won't be needing it! My home will be the Isle of the Eye. I
really suspect this is my final turn here on the throne, so that's all, folks!

-- Bozo

                                      SPY REPORT

It is I, Novgorodny Vir, Spymaster of Spymasters. Look on my work, ye mighty,
and despair! What's a move up by 3 you ask? (alright, maybe you didn't ask) Cause
for celebration, according to KING'S KREW. DELVERS had cause to celebrate, after
HANDSOME IS got 23 points by beating FRANKENBUTT. FRANKENBUTT certainly had a
baffled expression on his face, after losing to HANDSOME IS and losing 21 points in
the process! Duelmaster BOZO from CLOWNING AROUND is going for the gold, as he
challenged DELVERS' SUSHEE SU. Ooh, the excitement! BOZO successfully staved off a
grab for the roses by SUSHEE SU of DELVERS. Does RODEKI have no one talented enough
to dethrone him? Word has it one team in RODEKI is using psychics to predict wins.
They lead a charmed life!
And how sociable are RODEKI's warriors? Come, let us see. Perhaps the warriors
of FLAGG'S FIVE should take up some hobbies, as they are the most avoided team...
Like a pup with its tail between its legs, CLOWNING AROUND scurried away from FLAGG'S
FIVE. Oh, the shame! If challenges were horses, RED SKELTON could open up a fast
food joint! Mismatched by 9 points, JOHN ROSE was subdued by RONALD MCDONALD. Is
this really worth noting? I thought RONALD MCDONALD showed great skill and promise
when he bested JOHN ROSE. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! Ask not for
whom the sword slashes; it slashes for thee.
All good things must come to an end. As if buffeted by forces of nature beyond
my control, I must take my leave of this place. Do not despair! I shall return!--

John Rose -- Good luck in your future endeavors. I'm sure our paths will cross
again. -- Pleasantly, George Stark

Handsome Does -- What? Offer a hand to a dead orc? What's wrong with you? Did
Delores hit you too hard? -- The Ghost of Red

Handsome Is -- May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits. -- Dr. Hook
P.S. Some Botox will take care of those unsightly wrinkles of yours.

Handsome Does -- Knock three times and turnaround twice, then sit down and
remember.... -- Ghost of Delores

Crix -- Nothing personal. But Assur sent me after you to protect Bozo. He didn't
like what he saw from you! -- Ronald McDonald

John Rose -- You've made some good points! I will apply my fame here in Rodeki to my
job as a clown for my other work! Thanks! The only thing better than that idea is
beating you on the sands! -- R. McDonald

V. Vixen -- Ouch! -- Red S.

Dr. Hook -- Another 2 challenges coming your way! -- Red S.

Dr. Hook -- Well, I'm sure you've got just the prescription for that. And, of
course, an ace bandage will help, too. -- Handsome Does

1977 Amc Matador -- Hard to park that thing at a hitching rail, isn't it? -- John
P.S. And how many clowns can you get into it?

Third Base Spock -- Little problem there, bub. This wasn't third base. -- Sushee Su
P.S. And you probably couldn't even get to first.

Frankenbutt -- That was very ill done! *I* should have had the win, it would go with
my handsome face. Everyone knows the handsomest men are the winners. -- Handsome Is

Blazing Blur -- (blinking) I must've missed you there somewhere. -- The Mole

Ed. -- They're special cats, of course. The undercover ones are bad, they never lie
still and let you sleep. But some of the outerwear-cats can be very attractive,
draped around the neck, for instance. Next time you see someone with a magnificent
fur neckpiece, watch it closely. If it blinks, it's a wear-cat. -- Sushee Su

They must be very placid cats. I'd be worried that a dog would walk past and
the wear-cat would become something more like a whirling wreath of blades. --

Battle Royal 4
The Battle Royal arena contests are one of the purest tests of manager skill
available. The rules are simple. The scoring is simple. The updates are live. If
you would like to participate, simply get a team ready in Talcama in the next month
and announce in the personals that you're in. The prize is bragging rights and
having your name along side previous winners (Doc Steele, Manray Frothingslosh, and
Manager). It is a brutal contest, but it is a lot of fun!
Basic rules: No avoiding other contest teams. Score = Wins + Kills - Losses.
Only fights against other BR teams count. First team to 25 wins!
BR4 begins in Talcama (DM 18) on turn 502, due on Jan 29, 2005.
     Visit http://www.geocities.com/assurnasir/br4 for more information.

8 December 2004

     B. Announce their intent to compete with manager name, team name and alliance

234 and prizes sent to winning alliance between Turn 233 and 234.
5. No declarations will be acknowledged after Turn 231.
6. For the purpose of scoring, I reserve the right to make all final decisions.
