DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Third round as your Duelmaster. Not too shabby. No, not at all. I am now
politically savvy enough to slide onto the Isle of the Eye, to fight for Lady
Greywand herself! I need just three more victories to secure my invite. From the
way it looks, that should happen with ease, as I have defeated each of the warriors
within range (Champions or Challenger Champions) of the Throne, save Handsome Does
and Bob the Impaler.
Bob the Impaler is a tourney baby, so I have little to fear there. Handsome Does
may, or may not, be in the Champions class after this turn, depending who his
opponent is, and therefore will probably not be eligible to fight for the Throne.
This turn, I will leave to chance, but with only Kangaroo Lifeboat to fight, I think
I know who my opponent will be. *grin* As I have defeated Kangaroo Lifeboat before,
I will assume that should happen again, although it is not guaranteed. That will
leave me two victories left to achieve immortality.
Four of Spades I have defeated twice before, and would expect the same in any future
fights. My only hope is that Handsome Does reaches the range to fight for the
Throne, as I would love to throw a challenge his way, if only to fight somebody new.

Hail RODEKI! Warriors of the arena, prepare to be praised and blamed for your
deeds. And let's see, NORTHERN PALADIN fought ROCKJAW and gained 14 points and
contributed to WIND STORM's 2-1-0. ROCKJAW has lost to NORTHERN PALADIN, falling 10
points, while helping make DELVERS a 1-4-0 turn. Well done, RODEKI, the Duelmaster
was this turn's most challenged warrior. Perhaps SU-CHI is not as thrilled, being
challenged 2 times. KANGAROO LIFEBOAT challenged for the Duelmastership this turn,
attempting to dethrone WIND STORM's warrior. And not without some honor, KANGAROO
LIFEBOAT now claims the title and throne of Duelmaster of RODEKI. Can someone
confirm a rumor for me? I hear the top team makes their losing fighters do dishes at
The Warty Toad until they win. Maybe?
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. WHAT A TEAM! has cause to stand tall, as
they were RODEKI's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a team to beat.
And guess who avoided WHAT A TEAM! stable the most? Believe it or not, it was COLOR
ME SUAVE. Anyone surprised? Well now, what do you expect when someone like
JOCKSTRAP JONES from COLOR ME SUAVE challenges down 25 points to fight ROCKSOCK of
DELVERS? I thought challenges were for warriors, not cowards looking for easy wins.
JOCKSTRAP JONES overcame ROCKSOCK, is nothing sacred?
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? A brave warrior does not carry a red shield, he has nothing to cover
or hide when the fight is over. Consider well.
I like this place, RODEKI, the taverns have old wine, and young serving girls.

The Olympics have arrived!
The Mordanti Olympics, having been gone for six years, have returned to the Mordanti
Alliance, sponsored by Amicitia Primoris. Teams have competed against each other for
recognition and notoriety four times in the past. It is far past time for the fifth
Mordanti Olympics to be held. The Mordanti Olympics shall be held in the Mordant
arena (DM-1) from May 1st (T544) through Oct 30 (T557). There will be a
'registration period' lasting until T543, where teams will be allowed to register by
activating in Mordant and declaring their participation in the personals. Rules will
be posted in the Mordant arena (DM-1) newsletter no later than T543, but shall be
available online before then. An announcement will be made as to where they will be
posted. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
