Well, what are you looking at, RODEKI? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. RODEKI saw the first turn for
TRAVELLERS, a 3-1-0, and some teams are scared, others are too arrogant to notice.
Take note friends, take note. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see COOKIE
win a fight and gain 15 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, NORTHERN PALADIN beat ROCKJAW
and ROCKJAW lost 6 points. You're breakin' my heart. SU-CHI challenged RODEKI's
Duelmaster for a shot at the throne. And it's out with the old, in with the new, as
SU-CHI takes the Title and last week's bar tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh.
Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys
win their fights? Skill? Ha!
My mother always told me, 'If you don't have anything nice to say, start
talking.' I loved that woman. What's the big D? WIND STORM was the most avoided
team? Bunch of lily livered... grumble... mumble... curse... And who led the way in
this mass act of cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was COLOR ME SUAVE.
Ha ha ha ha! ROCKSOCK was challenged more times this turn than the Duelmaster. Now
was the DM insulted or feared? Heh, heh.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. We're all going to die in the end, so why
worry if the fate catches up with you sooner that later?
What does the RODEKI arena have in common with the inns? It's just as
comfortable to sleep in either place. Ha ha ha ha! Well, I've had enough of this
drivel, and I'm sure you have too. Off like a dirty shirt of padded leather. Glad
to see the back of this place-- Snide Clemens

Handsome Does -- "Four Damned Shovels" sounds like you've had some small problems.
Loose dirt is easy pickings. You just need some.... -- Rock

I LOST to M. Chardinee. I hope I don't get DA'd. -- Northern Paladin

Doubtful. You win more than you lose. -- Lord Xiang

Handsome Does -- I just heard you like to take pegs, such as from peg-legged sailors
or other leg-impaired personages. -- Northern Paladin, owner of two good legs

Fredibar -- A clue? Certainly. You will be able to find the clue in the arena, in
the darkest of nights. Bring a torch so you can see. *grin* -- Rock
P.S. Thanks for the win. Next time, please teach me something.

Four of Spades -- Just an FYI, I'm coming for you this turn. -- Su-Chi, hopefully
immortal after this turn

Four of Spades -- I thought it handsome of me to lose to you so that you can take the
title, AND teach you four skills, and then YOU go and bury me in the sand? That was
a very ugly move on your part. -- Handsome Does

Jockstrap Jones -- My rocksock in contact with your jockstrap, why do you "soon
recover," eh? Orcs are strange. -- Rocksock

Rock -- Well, drat, I forgot my hammer and drill. -- Fredibar

The Fratsfa Slave is a fool, but then, we all knew that. -- Rockjaw

Two Half Leaves -- That's what you cut me into, and I don't like it! -- Leafcutter
Beal

Keldon Warlord -- Of course you can just start a war. If you also do the writing. --
the Scribe

Northern Paladin -- Ah! That explains a lot. Being a dwarf myself, I point out that
*I* come from a logical race, and to our minds, not only do little old ladies belong
on their own side of the street, if they're smart, they STAY there. -- Rockjaw

Rock -- We're miners. WE know what tools are proper for reducing rocks to gravel,
dammit. -- Fredibar

A few notes about e-mailed personals:

You may submit personal ads, columns, spotlights, etc. electronically, either via e-
mail to ads at reality dot com (which doesn't need any more spam, thank you) or on
the web at http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Ads. When you submit
something, you should get back a receipt from HAL at RSI. If you do NOT get a
receipt, your ads may have gone astray (not all e-mail makes it to its destination
any more than all snail mail does). If you DO get a receipt, it should, in the body
of the message, tell you what arena your stuff was filed in. Check your receipt to
make sure your submission made it to the intended destination. Also check to see
that everything you sent made it to the same place. Sometimes HAL, who is rather
simple-minded in some ways, will send half your stuff to another arena if the name
or number of that arena shows up at the beginning of a line. So if the word Ti
appears at the beginning of a line halfway through your ads, all the ads after that
may end up in Ti, which is closed and doesn't need ads. As a side note, sometimes
things move slowly, so don't wait until the last minute to send your ads and all.
If they get held up along the way, they may not show up until next turn. Happy
writing! -- Ed.
