TEAM SPOTLIGHT

Snow had fallen all night. It enveloped Rodeki like a hangover, but more
attractively. Fredibar stood on the front porch of the Delvers' guildhouse, which
was also the bunkhouse of the Blue Kaloo Mining and Contract Labor Company, and
looked at the snow. This was a boring thing to do, but he could do it without
thinking, so as an activity for first thing in the morning, it was a winner.
"Breakfast," someone muttered from the level of his elbow. "Sausages, eggs,
fried toast--"
Fredibar looked down. It was Adabemis, one half of the "team" of Adabemis and
Balmador, two very short dwarves who gladiated as one "man" by standing on each
other's shoulders. Fredi suppressed the urge to stand on Adabemis's shoulders
himself. "Juice, or maybe fresh fruit, 'Bemis, that's what you need in the morning."
Adabemis made gagging noises.
"Hash-browns. Ham. Biscuits with red-eye gravy," the dwarf countered.
"Oatmeal." Fredibar squinted. "Okay, maybe not oatmeal. Cornflakes?"
"Grits. With bits of ham and peppers and cheese and stuff in 'em."
"Liver and onions."
"For breakfast? That's gross," Adabemis muttered. "Sauerkraut."
"For breakfast?"
"I like it," the dwarf said defensively. "It's got vitamins in it, too."
"So's grapefruit, but that doesn't mean I want to inflict it on my unsuspecting
stomach," Fredibar said. He looked at the edge of the porch and mentally measured
the drop from there to the snow-covered ground. Four feet on the uphill side, more
like six on the lower side. And the snow looked a lot softer than the flagstones one
usually saw there. He could push Adabemis off, easily. He would be doing a favor to
breakfasters everywhere. He put his hand, casually, on the dwarf's shoulder.
The door behind them opened again. Balmador came out, and the aroma of freshly
brewed coffee came with him.
Fredibar and Adabemis turned as one, responding to the siren scent. Maybe the
morning would be survivable after all.

Notes from the arena champ.
Delaware Run? Do I know any families by the name of Run? Obviously, suave and
debonair families, not grubbers in the dirt.... Hmm, can't call one to mind. So,
this guy is a foreigner, an import from, gods, he's an Andorian! Convincia. Bunch
of farmers. And this guy's a bit of a runt, too. A stylish, mincing, Andorian runt.
A clumsy, bumbling, stylish, mincing, debonair, Andorian runt. Do I have to put up
with guys like this? No, as Duel2Dude, I do NOT have to put up with them. Sling him
out of the bar as I come in!

SPY REPORT
Ready for some action-packed adventure, some thrills, chills and spills? Well
fergit it, cause this is the Spyreport for RODEKI. MVP award for RHINO? BEASTIAL
LEGION's proud of him after beating DELAWARE RUN and getting 25 points. Talk about
yer major upsets! DELAWARE RUN's match with RHINO cost him a loss of 22 points!
Like, JOCKSTRAP JONES must be pretty gutsy! He Bloodfeuded the Duelmaster from
DELVERS. Does this guy have a death wish or what! Don't you think the Duelmaster is
being unfair? I think FREDIBAR should let JOCKSTRAP JONES be Duelmaster for a while,
without fighting about it. Who was the wiseguy that said RODEKI's Duelmaster was
paying for drinks at The Dripping Blade? Don't look at me!
So just why would someone becomes a warrior anyway? It can't be for these
really neat Spyreports can it? The warriors of BEASTIAL LEGION must be getting
lonely. They were the most avoided team. Do you guys know something that I don't?
Is there some deep dark secret why COLOR ME SUAVE's been avoiding BEASTIAL LEGION so
much? Or is it just that they're too scared?
Challenges, revenges, Bloodfeuds. All RODEKI ever talks about is fighting! Me,
I'm more laid back. What if they had a fight and nobody showed up? I'd be out of a
job, that's what!!!
Remember, blood on a purple robe may stain. Soak it in cold water, and hand
wash. I gotta leave. RODEKI is like such a dump, and you guys smell too much! Its
