DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Well lost, Suckfoot. You depart with the suave grace you have frequently
displayed here, and I salute you for it.

SPY REPORT
Like the magnificent Sun, rising upon the Dawn and exiling the Night for a Day,
I, Novgorodny Vir, return once again! COLOR ME SUAVE had cause to celebrate, after
THUGGOMATIC got 13 points by beating CONVICTED THIEF. A certain someone should cut
down on the drinking and practice more, after losing 7 points to MOIST TOWELETTE.
(Discrete enough, DACIMOUSEL?) You could cut the tension with a scimitar as CHEESY
SQUEEZER of COLOR ME SUAVE met the Duelmaster. Those who hoped for a new Duelmaster
were disappointed by CHEESY SQUEEZER, of COLOR ME SUAVE, who despite a 14-9-1
couldn't overcome RODEKI's Number 1. So who's the team that's been walking into
taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
And how sociable are RODEKI's warriors? Come, let us see. Like the noble eagle
soaring amongst the mountaintops, so stand the warriors of COLOR ME SUAVE, alone and
unchallenged. Like a pup with its tail between its legs, FLAGG'S FIVE scurried away
from COLOR ME SUAVE. Oh, the shame! Is it charming personality? Conversational
abilities? Good oral hygiene? Whatever it is, ASBENTA is the most challenged
warrior. Take heed RODEKI, of the unprincipled action of RIMA ADLER. By challenging
STONECRUSHER II, 17 points below her, RIMA ADLER besmirches the noble art of dueling.
RIMA ADLER bested STONECRUSHER II with a point difference of 17. So this is what
RODEKI calls a duel. This will make an interesting tale. As a confidence booster,
DETRA VAUGHN challenged ROCKHOG, down 17 points. Do you also slay vicious rodents in
your spare time, DETRA VAUGHN? Bookies and DETRA VAUGHN were more than a little
surprised, as ROCKHOG snatched an easy victory from DETRA VAUGHN, gaining 17 points.
Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! Ask not for
whom the sword slashes; it slashes for thee.
Leave me now, you base fools! As if buffeted by forces of nature beyond my
control, I must take my leave of this place. Like a mixed metaphor, and an overtaxed
simile, I now bid RODEKI farewell-- Novgorodny Vir

Cheesy Squeezer -- It would serve you right if somebody put jalapeno juice in that
cheese. -- Asbenta
Moist Towelette -- It is my understanding, from what my teammates say, that your role
in life is to clean up messes. Why, then, are you causing them? This is perverse.
-- Stonecrusher II
Dipsy Dixie -- Amazingly suave, for a woman. I have no wish to avoid you, au, as
they say, contrarie. What are you doing tonight? -- Rockhog
Rima Adler -- What's a fine-looking woman like you doing in a place like this, eh? --
Dacimousel, twirling the moustache he has specially grown for that purpose
Rima Adler -- You're just jealous. -- Asbenta
Our congratulations to Janet Reno and Golden Bear, tourney victors. -- Harby and the
Delvers
Venomous Concubine -- It's likely you distracted me with your tightly fitted armor.
Surely, that is the only way I could have lost to the likes of you. -- Gaven Adler
Dacimousel -- I seem to have forgotten how to fight again. Perhaps we'll do that
again after I remember how to. -- Rima Adler
Persistant Beggars just aren't as fun without the Bullocks around to make fun of
them. -- Hippo Huntress, missing her hippo head center piece
Mordant Deserter -- ... ... ... ... ... -- Eternity
Convicted Thief -- I should have been your executioner as well. -- Detra Vaughn
All -- Flagg sends his greetings from the annual contest in Aradi. He says his
stable's performance is improving...marginally. -- Doone

Any and all who live in the 805 area, I would like for you to call me so we can get
together for BBQ's, softball games, and so on. It has been a while since the last
get together (several years). It was a blast and I am sure the next one will be
also. We just have to do it. All alliances are welcome. Just because my warriors
leave your warrior beaten and bloody in defeat does not mean we can't have a beer or
five together. I'll even buy the first round. So call 805-588-3419 and ask for Dave
a.k.a. Misfit, former member of the Green and Purple Polka Dot Alliance (GAPPDA).
