way he figured it. "Bludgeoned to death by words!" he snarled. "Blinded by talking!
I don't BELIEVE this, the shame! I was doing good, dammit, I was getting better
every time. I would have had a winning record by summer! And now this. Talk about
unfair! Talk about LOW, to be done in by a damned conspirator who can't keep his
mouth shut. See if I ever conspire with HIM again."

"Gods, why did Harby put a mouth on you?" Rockhog turned his back
ostenatiously, ectoplasm swirling. "I'm going to be resurrected. Well,
reincarnated, which is probably better. I'm going to come back shorter and more
handsome. I'll be able to tell interesting stories about the afterlife. The babes
will flock to me."
"Why do you wish a flock of infants?" the Stonecrusher asked.
"Not little kids!" Rockhog flounced around the room a few times. "I hate
waiting. I should have been reincarnated already, it's been more than a week!

The golem's 'face' was not designed to show emotion, but the tilt of its head
might be called 'puzzled'. "You wish to reproduce, to become a parent? I am told
this lays a heavy responsibility on both parents and is expensive. I cannot see that
it would be prudent at this time. The economy is depressed. Gladiation is an
unreliable source of income. You might find yourself a parent without the means to
support the role. You should reconsider--"

the room, ignoring Rockhogs shriek of rage.

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of RODEKI! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team DUNGEON CELL was unseated
this week as COLOR ME SUAVE moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot with a
3-2-0 record for the round. ALMOST PRETTY caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial
commission as she skillfully bested LAZY LOOKOUT and was awarded 15 points in
recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, ALMOST PRETTY put down LAZY
LOOKOUT, causing him to lose 11 points of recognition in the process. Although
DACIMOUSEL made a valiant effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of
victorious CHATTY CABALIST. No confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team
has gained their position using magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report.
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing
is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
The girls are as pretty in RODEKI as ever I remembered them....and the fighters
as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed
a stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!
