DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Still here. Almost ready to go. Grinian, you've got teach me more than one skill
per fight. That is if you want me to get out of the way. Well, Master Noachian
finally pulled the trigger on Lady Mantle and Red Valerian. About time too. They
were dragging the team down. Hopefully, their replacements will be able to win a
fight every few turns.

SPY REPORT
Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out VEASTIAN to see
what's new. Like, ROGUES' GALLERY had to be so embarrassed when they got kicked off
#1 spot by TERMAGANT VOTARY! Way to go TERMAGANT VOTARY! MVP award for ETHON EL
KEER? TERMAGANT VOTARY's proud of him after beating GRINIAN and getting 24 points.
Talk about yer big time losers! KONJOR got smashed by BENGAL, and lost 9 points!
Don't you think the Duelmaster is being unfair? I think DAPHNE CAMISADO should let
TIRRAJ be Duelmaster for a while, without fighting about it. Who was the wiseguy
that said VEASTIAN's Duelmaster was paying for drinks at The Warty Toad? Don't look
at me!
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. The warriors
of THE FIVE RONIN must be getting lonely. They were the most avoided team. Do you
guys know something that I don't? I don't know what TERMAGANT VOTARY's been doing.
They certainly haven't been accepting many fights from THE FIVE RONIN, that's fer
sher.
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. It was kind of sad, seeing old GRINIAN
stumbling around the arena, before ETHON EL KEER finished him off. Oh well! I see
GRINIAN got killed by ETHON EL KEER of TERMAGANT VOTARY. Now I want to see some
serious Bloodfeud action out there! Hey you guys, don't you think your families
would like to hear from you? Write! (Or have someone write for you.)
Remember, blood on a purple robe may stain. Soak it in cold water, and hand
wash. I'm getting tired of writing this stuff, so I'm calling it quits. I had a fun
time, see you later-- Debby Tonte

PERSONAL ADS
Jorja -- You have a golden tongue when trying to subtly maneuver others into doing
your bidding. *grin* -- Lord Xiang
By popular demand, here are personals from recent turns (T469 and T470) that have
been, um, forgotten. -- Lord Xiang
Tirraj -- We salute the Duelmaster! -- Lord Xiang and Rogues' Gallery
Snohbal -- At least you could forget packing a rock inside there. That HURT! --
Telli
Stiljanz -- Interesting. You have more than twice my wins and more than twice my
losses and I still win. If you want to keep meeting like this, I would be delighted
to!
Konjor -- Um, we are both of similar quality, it seems. Minimal wins and a whole lot
of losses. -- Ariel
Lady Mantle -- And don't let it happen again! If you can't watch where you are
driving, don't get on the road!! I can't BELIEVE they give horsemanship licenses to
people who drive like you!! If you think, for one minute, that I'm going to just
ignore your lack of....
Please forgive me. I failed to keep Tirade away from the scribe. -- Lord Xiang
(T470)
Daphne Camisado -- We salute the Duelmaster! -- Lord Xiang and Rogues' Gallery
Lady Mantle -- I'm sorry, but you REALLY don't want Tirade to address you. He's not
a likable idiot, er, person. -- Lord Xiang
Noachian -- Thank you on the welcome. Managers that are as courteous as you,
welcoming returning teams, are few and far between. I salute you in your victorious,
as well as glorious, return! -- Lord Xiang, mgr. Rogues' Gallery
Stiljanz -- Perhaps we can discuss this over a pint, or twelve, of your favorite
brew? -- Riga
Konjor -- Flighty? Hmm, I could be, I guess. But that would mean I would have to
decide to be so, and that would take, um, too much thinking to decide. I mean, I'm
not much of a thinker, I don't think, so that would be kind of a waste of, um, what
were we discussing again? -- Ariel
The Saint, Keeper of Lists -- Since I cannot disappoint Jorja (even though I have
most of who's who here), there seems to be one team I am not sure of who manages it.
Would you please provide a list of managers for these wonderful teams! -- Lord Xiang
P.S. It seems she might be too shy to ask for a list herself, and that was her way
of nudging me into asking, since I am not shy about things like this.
P.P.S. But on things like THAT, forget it. I won't say a word. Besides, it would
embarrass EVERYONE.
This is teams listed in last turn's newsletter. I've I've gotten anyone's name
wrong, just let me know and I'll fix it. -- The Saint, sleepy keeper of lists
DARKSPEAR Angus THE FAMILY Jorja
ROGUES' GALLERY Lord Xiang THE FIVE RONIN Bones
TERMAGANT VOTARY Noachian
(current turn)
Daphne Camisado -- We salute you, our Duelmistress! -- Lord Xiang and Rogues' Gallery
Stiljanz -- You're damned RIGHT it's his fault! You think it's MY fault? No way in
HELL!! After all, HE said to go out there and win one for the team. Did he say
HOW?!? NOOOOOOO. He just said go out there and win. No advice. Zip. Zero. Nada.
How can he manage a tea.....
Stiljanz -- PLEASE don't encourage Tirade like that! It's not polite to the rest of
the arena. -- Lord Xiang
Stiljanz -- I hope your random matchups don't always head my way. I enjoyed the time
we talked at the tavern last time. This time, you buy. *grin* -- Riga
Chikuami -- I popped your cherry?!? I hope it didn't hurt much. *grin* Would you
like to keep the 'toy' as a memento? -- Ariel, giftwrapping her weapon
Tirniellis -- I gagged Tirade before he could get to post something nasty. Better
luck next time. (please?) -- Lord Xiang
Tirraj -- I like trying out new weapons. That one worked out very well. -- Ethon El
Keer
Asano -- Nice try. -- Tamara Rahn
Lady Mantle, 10(+1)-6(+1)-13-17-17(+2)-13-12 WS. Won two fights early, then just
gave up. Red Valerian 10(+2)-10(+1)-8-17-17-15-10 PL. I hate parry-lungers. I can
never get them to win. This one learned skills fairly well. He just wouldn't win.
I hate to DA, but these two pushed my patience to the limit. I look for something
completely different in their replacements. -- Noachian, mgr. Termagant Votary
Ethon El Keer -- You forgot the sour cream! How can we have a decent enchilada
supper without sour cream? -- Tirraj
P.S. You wouldn't have needed to increase that stat if you had remembered the sour
cream. Fool kid.
Daphne Camisado -- Oh, good, YOU get to do the column. Better you than me. --
Grinian
P.S. Although it seldom amounts to a full column these days. Is this good or bad?
P.P.S. Or indifferent.
Riga -- You redheads are so fiery! -- Stiljanz, trying to put out the sparks
Tirade -- You going to produce one, or don't golems do that kind of thing? --
Tirniellis
Oda -- Bad match for you on the grounds of (I presume, don't know if you have Hidden
Tourney Fights) experience. Better luck next time, somewhere else, eh? -- Konjor

A few notes about e-mailed personals:
You may submit personal ads, columns, spotlights, etc. electronically, either via e-
mail to ads at reality dot com (which doesn't need any more spam, thank you) or on
the web at http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Ads. When you submit
something, you should get back a receipt from HAL at RSI. If you do NOT get a
receipt, your ads may have gone astray (not all e-mail makes it to its destination
any more than all snail mail does). If you DO get a receipt, it should, in the body
of the message, tell you what arena your stuff was filed in. Check your receipt to
make sure your submission made it to the intended destination. Also check to see
that everything you sent made it to the same place. Sometimes HAL, who is rather
simple-minded in some ways, will send half your stuff to another arena if the name
or number of that arena shows up at the beginning of a line. So if the word Ti
appears at the beginning of a line halfway through your ads, all the ads after that
may end up in Ti, which is closed and doesn't need ads. As a side note, sometimes
things move slowly, so don't wait until the last minute to send your ads and all.
If they get held up along the way, they may not show up until next turn. Happy
writing! -- Ed.

We of the Desolate Empire Alliance want to welcome two managers to our fold. Kon of
the Empire Rising, and Osiris! May they be blessed with the blood of their enemies,
and give no quarter in War! -- Dark Knights of the Desolate Empire
