The swamp reverberated with the sound of Voo-Doo's cry, "No!"
No sooner had Marais's head been dragged under the swamp than the painted one
threw himself prone and began to kick and scream. To Goat he looked like nothing
more than a two year old throwing a temper tantrum.
Suddenly the swamp began to bubble. It looked almost as if the swamp were
boiling. Then the creature that had grabbed Marais surfaced, thrashing wildly.
Soon, it lay still.
Goat could see something wrapped around the creature's throat. Marais's head
came up and she slowly unwrapped her tongue from around the creature's neck.
Voo-Doo's sobs turned to sniffles as he wiped the tears from his eyes, then he
held his arms out to the karragit.
Goat raised his arms and a glowing sphere surrounded the pair. The two
dissipated in a flash and Goat was left standing in the swamp holding ABRAXIS's
precious mud. The cry of 'no' had now been replaced by Goat's musical laughter.

to go MOJO P@TROL! Cut this out and put it in your scrapbooks, SUPERIOR FORCES!
'Cause they got 3-0-0 and moved up to 7th! MVP award for BOMBSHELL? DARQUE FORCES'
proud of her after beating MASTER DARQUE and getting 20 points. Talk about yer major
upsets! MOTHER's match with DAGORA SAVON cost her a loss of 7 points! This
Duelmaster is like something else! ZINDELLA AZRON stopped MARILYN dead in hers
tracks! Is the Duelmaster really being a real snob to his teammates? Don't ask me!
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. AVID FANS was
STORMCROWE's most avoided team. Is there some award for that? Hhmph! What kind of
warriors are MYTH TAKES? AVID FANS, an easy team to beat if I ever saw one, can't
get them to accept an invitation! Can EMETICS' THE SMELL OF IT be more popular than
me? It was challenged the most, but is that really the same? Speaking of
challenging 38 points above did you hear about NORA BATES of MORDRED'S MADMEN vs.
DARQUE FORCES' HOT LIPS? (And how was that intro!) NORA BATES lost to HOT LIPS, but
she got 6 points. HOT LIPS won, and got 2 points. I don't get it. NEAR MYTH must
not be a good enough fighter to get in fair fights. He challenged DOOR # 3. 13 is a
big difference. (Well, that's what they tell me.) I thought NEAR MYTH showed great
skill and promise when he defeated DOOR # 3. All right, so I slept through it! Big
deal!
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. What a bummer! MASTER DARQUE got wasted
by BOMBSHELL! But with a 5-4-2, I guess VENDETTA INC. aren't too bummed. D'ya think
ABRAXIS II is feeling guilty for killing A DEAL'S DEAL's BROMO, a mere boy? Naah, I
doubt it. Fight, fight, fight. Is that all you guys can do?
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be
a famous Spyreporter? I'm getting tired of writing this stuff, so I'm calling it

FACE-TO-FACE XXXIV
Our next Winter Face-to-Face will be held on Martin Luther King weekend, Friday
through Sunday, 14-16 January 2005, at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, Arizona (4400 S
Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
