Three turns down and 7 more to go! Welcome back to Stormcrowe's Wheel of Misfortune
contest. There was significant movement for many managers this turn. Our turn used
the Slaughter Priest Memorial contest scoring, which can be both rewarding and painful
depending upon you're your team performed. Winning and killing were good! Losing and
dying were bad! A single personal ad from a warrior could give you the equivalent of
a win. So, I'm curious why everyone doesn't take advantage of that simple act?

highest recognition total, regardless of record. If the case of a tie in
recognition points, win/loss percentage will be the tiebreaker, followed by total
kills (warrior).
+5 Top Team on the Move descending scoring down to #5 (e.g. +5 for first, +4 for the
second, etc).
+2 Successful Bloodfeud. Bloodfeud victories for kills that did not occur during the
contest do not count to this total.
+5 Most Avoided Squad (teammates avoiding one another will not be counted)

+10 points for winning on your upchallenge against another WoM warrior.

minimum length of a spotlight to receive points is 1/2 column in the newsletter
(that's 31 lines--each line 86 characters across). In addition to the length
criteria, spotlights will not be given any points if they are in any way
plagiarized or if they are not Duelmasters or fantasy-related. If in doubt about

Good day, in STORMCROWE a quiet thief gets rich, but a quiet spymaster gets
poor. So bring me ale and harken to my tidbits of news. Now keep the taverns open
late tonight, for there are sorrows to drown for SHADOW LEGION, whose 2-3-0 this turn
dropped them by 7 into 24th. The FAVORITE SAYINGS 7 guild has had a 4-1-0 turn and
deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this kind of thing can
lead. And let's see, EDMUND KEMPER fought SHANGHAI and gained 22 points and
contributed to BIG LAKE KILLERS' 2-3-1. SWAUM has lost to JOHN WAYNE GACY, falling
13 points, while helping make GOING BERSERK a 3-2-0 turn. This turn USKURNTAI
challenged ME TOO in what was STORMCROWE's Title bout. Defending his title for
another turn, USKURNTAI kept OTIS LIKES LUNGERS' warrior, ME TOO, from claiming the
throne. Can someone confirm a rumor for me? I hear the top team makes their losing
fighters do dishes at The Shadow's Fountain until they win. Maybe?
Oriental wise man once say, 'Hiding behind shields prevents proper sun tanning.'
Inscrutable, but true. I also notice that the FORCE OF FIVE stable was the most
avoided team this turn. Come on STORMCROWE, what are you afraid of? And guess who
avoided FORCE OF FIVE stable the most? Believe it or not, it was CANDY CRUSHERS.
Anyone surprised? Well, sports fans, take notice that RIME-ANCIENT MARINER from
MAIDEN JAPAN was STORMCROWE's most challenged warrior this turn. I don't know about
you, but ALPHA REV challenging down 30 points to ABATTOIR 5 BLADES' STICKY SITUATION,
is not really worthy of CSU COLLEGE RADIO. It pains me to see warriors take
advantage of the system like this. ALPHA REV beat STICKY SITUATION, as if it
surprises anyone. Tsk, tsk, tsk. CAR SEAT HEADREST, does your manager know you're
challenging down 25 points to fight YAK from GOING BERSERK? I thought challenges
were for warriors, not cowards looking for easy wins. CAR SEAT HEADREST overcame
YAK, is nothing sacred? In a brave attempt, CHOPPER from THE MENTORS RIDE challenged
up 25 points to fight UNDK from the GOING BERSERK stable. CHOPPER perhaps got his
just desserts, seeing as he was defeated by UNDK and ended up with 100 recognition
points.
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. Banners at half mast, warriors, CANDY CRUSHERS has lost HERSHEY HAMMER, and
you might say all of STORMCROWE has felt the loss, except maybe FORCE OF FIVE.
INTERNATIONAL has lost SHANGHAI to the arena in the sky, but they don't seem to be
worried. What do you expect from 9-8-1? NOT ME has departed STORMCROWE, leaving
OTIS LIKES LUNGERS without their 4-8-0 warrior. Question, just what was its team
doing at the taverns last night? The manager of INTERNATIONAL will not be pleased to
learn that NEW ZEALAND, a 3-1-0 fighter, has been killed at the hands of OTIS LIKES
LUNGERS' ME THREE. Congratulations go out to FORCE OF FIVE, with LOHENGRIN revenging
a bloodfeud against HERSHEY HAMMER of CANDY CRUSHERS. The Shadow's Fountain declares
a free round for SHADOW SHAMAN and all of SHADOW LEGION, for having revenged ABATTOIR
5 BLADES' BLUE DRAGON BLADE for killing one of their comrades. A brave warrior does
not carry a red shield, he has nothing to cover or hide when the fight is over.

The Commission's administrative office on the Isle was in a big square building
that looked like any other administrative office building in any national capital.
Standard, boring. Except for the goats. Half a dozen goats were wandering free,
eating the landscaping, and as many clerks were chasing them. A clerk saw them
coming, he looked like a Trustworthy Scribe, and he rushed over to the approaching
gladiators. "Do you know anything about goats?" He gestured helplessly at the hungry
goats. "They're here because of the Name-Change-o-Rama. We donate them to help change
the world, you know."
The gladiators nodded. They'd heard about it, but hadn't thought it would be so
funny to see. "How did you deal with them last time?"
The clerk made a disgusted gesture. "People came and took them away. But the
people didn't come this time. They sent a message about being quarantined! Aren't we
all? And WE get to work! Goats are not in our job description."
One of the gladiators snorted laughter. "We'll help," he said. "Where do you
want them?"
