DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
That was a real surprise. I wasn't even trying to become Duelmaster, yet here I am.
The thought occurred to me that I am probably Stormcrowe's oldest Duelmaster, at least
in terms of how long I've been hanging around here. Yea, I'm feeling pretty old.
Anyway, Mirage and I had a very entertaining fight. Of course he carried the fight
with a non stop onslaught of slashing, crashing and whirlwinds of Broadsword fury. Why
I even could have sworn I heard his sword whistling through the air. That was when he
broke my shield and had me worried. What if my other shield broke, as well?
Thankfully, that didn't happen. Oh, and lest I forget, thank you Mirage for the 4
skills and new skill rating. Sweet!
I guess I'll send out a challenge to Tobir Batter. Why, you may ask? He's the highest
ranked active warrior in the standings. With luck, lots of it, maybe I'll be back next
turn. And any of you guys seeking to challenge me, just take it easy on these old
bones. I'd hate to die after so many years and just prior to me possibly finally
getting my isle invite. I can hope, anyway. Good fighting next turn to everyone.

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of STORMCROWE! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. There were bitter words at DARQUE
FORCES' guildhouse after a 1-4-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into 6th.
Dark Arena anyone? Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner!
Witness how this week AVID FANS went 4-1-0 to move up 6 in the rankings. PEZ
PULVERIZER caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully
bested BLUE DRAGON BLADE and was awarded 19 points in recognition. In one of the
week's more notable duels, PEZ PULVERIZER put down BLUE DRAGON BLADE, causing him to
lose 14 points of recognition in the process. As is fitting, the most sought after
warrior on the challenge boards this week was none other than Duelmaster BLIZZARD-RAT
himself. This time out OTHER MOTHER made hers bid for the throne as she challenged
BLIZZARD-RAT in an all out contest of skill for possession of the title! Not for
nothing has BLIZZARD-RAT in the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this
week he's proven his combat skill yet again. Heed this! A seer has warned that if
exactly 6 die in duels this week, the whole city shall perish! Just remember...5 or
7!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. STORMCROWE, city of gladiators!
Mighty among the names of thy guilds is YUPPIE SHELTER, a guild shunned and avoided
by many in the weekly duels. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it
was that spent the better part of last week avoiding YUPPIE SHELTER. Indeed it was
AVID FANS. A match that raised a few eyebrows at the games this week, it seems that
KURR posted a challenge against the more highly recognized KIT KAT KATANA. The
results, you ask? Well, the firebrand KURR was defeated by KIT KAT KATANA. Remember
warriors, this is the discipline of steel.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Walk proud, warriors of INTERNATIONAL!
By striking down URBAN LEGEND you have avenged the honor of your dead. Your virtue
is known to all in STORMCROWE. Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears
arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in STORMCROWE. Nice atmosphere you have here! More than a sharp eye must I
keep, indeed a stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari
