                             Notes from the arena champ.

Well, after another scintillating battle with Bunker, old Icky Mickey is off to
retirement. Mick proves the old adage that it's better to be lucky than good. His
stats:

13/3/13/15/13/14/13
Mst Dec
Ad Ex Rip

Broadsword, and Mod/Mod

I'm also sad to report that Opurt met a cruel fate at the FtF. I will sorely miss
him:

                                      SPY REPORT

Well, what are you looking at, ARDIVENT? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Later days, FANDILS, since BLUVALLEY
WARRIORS took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. If this keeps up,
THE ZEN ZONE, you'll have to shine swords instead of use them. A drop of 4 in the
rankings? INFERNAL LORDS turned their 2-1-0 turn into a 4th place rank in the
listings this turn. Any better than this, and you get put on hit lists. Now let's
all watch DEATHTONGUE's heads swell from their 3-1-0 this turn. Haa ha ha ha! Big
shots, big talk, big deal. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see NIVIX win
a fight and gain 24 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, NIVIX beat BUNKER and BUNKER lost 18
points. You're breakin' my heart. And if variety is the spice of life, ARDIVENT may
be getting bland, as MICK JAGGER stays top dog in the city. I'm not in a very good
mood today, but why am I telling you this? You want to know what's new, don't you,
ARDIVENT?
My mother always told me, 'If you don't have anything nice to say, start
talking.' I loved that woman. What's the big D? DEATHTONGUE was the most avoided
team? Bunch of lily livered... grumble... mumble... curse... And who led the way in
this mass act of cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was FANDILS. Ha ha
ha ha! Ooh, I'm frightfully impressed, CADDO SCOT was this turn's most challenged
warrior. Watch that ego swell, sports fans. And we have BIG DAVE DIODE in a
challenge, going down 9 points for the fight. Guess what? I thought BIG DAVE DIODE
showed great skill and promise when it bested MEMNOCK. All right, so I slept through
it! Big deal!
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. It's about time SHELLEY got beat for
picking on warriors like BANNIR PARK. Bravo, BLUVALLEY WARRIORS. See you at The
Seaside Manor. Titanium shields and bamboo daggers, guess what brave team is
developing these kinds of weapons?
I was about to buy a new quill pen the other day, but some fighter took it for
an epee. Forgive me for writing with a dagger. Well, I've had enough of this
drivel, and I'm sure you have too. Off like a dirty shirt of padded leather. I see
the crowds are getting restless, I must leave now-- Snide Clemens

An imploded golem is a thing of beauty! -- Fandil The Wise (flirting with his own
implosion)

Congrats to the new DM and Lord protector, Mick Jagger who crooned his way to the
top. Salute. -- Fandil The Wise

Bannir Park -- Wow! The RUGS must surely hate me. Giving me a 20+ FE differential
fight is, well, uh, too much for this ole boy. I simply wasn't up to it. -- Tank

Bunker Betty -- Turnabout is fair play, wouldn't you say? -- Shelley

There are those who ask why The Fandils so often avoid Deathtongue. Do you see those
1,113 wins?! The answer is that far too many of them are Fandil losses. Way too
many! -- WOF

Decker Cobb -- Nothing personal, you Studmuffin. It's just that you were there and I
needed it! (wink) -- Bernice

Jorja -- Well, not everywhere, I guess. But there are lots and lots of Fandil Lord
Protectors and who knows where all they are? -- Shelley

Mick Jagger -- Congratulations on the win, the title and the impending graduation.
It has been an honor to cross blades with you in Ardivent. We wish you success and
honor in all your future endeavors. Well done, gladiator! -- Gerald Bostock,
Manager, Sons of Tull

Shelley -- OOOOooooo......that's a keeper. -- B. Betty

Opurt -- It keeps you rolling, yessss rolllling. Hmmmm...that's my 10th fight and
I'm still here. Who says the crowd doesn't love someone they love to hate. --
Deceptive Delila

Sanderscot -- That was the last straw what broke the manager's hump. Look for me for
a one-time appearance in the Dark Arena. Hoo-Hoo Hee-Hee Ha-Ha... -- Honeycomb

Fandil the Wise -- That didn't take long. I recently experienced a great example of
parrying with an off-hand War Hammer. It was a scum and I have to admit he wielded
it with enough alacrity to win the fight. I hate scum. -- Jondeaux

Mike Miller -- Ah, the truth is once again demonstrated: it isn't who strikes first
who strikes last that makes the final difference. Good try, though. -- Caddo Scot

Bernice -- I like a passionate woman, but whoa! You just about ripped my arms off in
your eagerness to get personal. -- Decker Cobb

Broqus -- You're infernally effective out there and left me quite breathless. Would
it help persuade you to be a little less brutal if I went over to being an elf again,
as I briefly was when the race-changing epidemic hit? I could flutter my pointed
ears at you. I'm told that infernals find this fetching for some reason. -- Jacinthe

Tank -- I don't know if you forgot to bribe the handicapper to give you a fair match,
or if you forgot to take your iron supplements, that making sure that the match was
not fair, but you blew it, cat. -- Bannir Park

Honeycomb -- (smacks lips and licks fingers) You are a sweet little thing! --
Sanderscot

Shelley -- Not a chance. Those are reserved for people whose managers are prepared
to sacrifice to the various gods associated with dueling, and Jorja won't do it.
She's very, um, eloquent on that subject. -- Ghost of Sarliamne

Our heartfelt congratulations to Mick Jagger. -- Jorja and the Bluvalley Warriors

Where there is a beginning, there is an end. Where there is a whole, there is a
part. Where there is light, there is dark. All these are found to be true and along
with the most important, when something is lost it can always be found.
Many a person has walked this land in one form or another. Some truly believe
that here is there and there is here but who really knows? Among the peoples of this
great land many have felt lost in time and in place. Some have gone as far as to be
lost of soul....
Although most are thought to have been born into this world in a mortal way, no
one can be sure. Life is something they have in a way but a torturous joke to them
in all others. They live in a sense as they are here and now and having mind and
knowledge. They are flesh and blood of one sort of another. They cast a shadow as
all things living do. Blood courses through their veins.
These beings have become wraiths drifting here and there, knowing that they
truly belong nowhere. Searching for that one thing that they seem to be missing or
the one thing in them that puts them beyond others. These people have become masters
of many things as time seems to have no hold. For not even time can find those that
are truly lost. Many of these beings have drifted toward the gladiatorial games. In
the blood and chaos of the arenas something holds them like no other. It's the loss
of something they have never had or something they had so long ago it seems to have
never been. LIFE.
A few of the more shall we say "human" of these beings have settled into many
arenas around the land. The loss of life and the crazed emotions of the arenas
giving them glimpses of things they longed for but seemed incapable of attaining.
A number of these lost ones saw in each other something that might be able to
help the other. They spent many a day traveling to and fro, for what is time to one
who it doesn't touch. The more time they spent together the more they seemed to
change. No one noticed the change in the others but each recognized it in himself.
Years passed and the changes stopped. Each had been changed in different ways but
all felt more whole. A discussion ensued between them. They came to a realization
that in each other they had found parts of themselves that had been missing. Then
came the next thought. If they could find more of like minded lost ones they might
eventually find what they always wanted, their true selves.
The group settled down to think things through. They finally came up with an
idea they all could accept. They would form an organization that through their
arenas through out the land they would seek out other lost ones. If they were of
like mind they would be invited to join the group and seek that special something
they all desired.
This was how it began and how it still is. The Order of Lost Souls was formed
and the search began. The original members numbered six. They were Baphomet,
Blackstorm, Hammer, JGW, Reaper and Wretch. These members of the Order spread their
gladiator stables through out the realm seeking others like them. Through blood and
death they lived through others. One day hoping to live for themselves. For as they
all know what is lost must eventually be found....

CALLING ALL THUGS, BRUTES, OGRES, QUARTER HALF WITS, SHALLOW HALBERD ENTHUSIASTS AND
MAUL RATS: Since the Bashing style has often been maligned in the forums, it is time
to give the style a little tough love with the following concept: An ALL-BASHER
arena. The rules are simple--enter the arena as a rookie basher. That's it. RSI
said I need to get 20 managers on board and I'm about half way there. If you are
interested in taking part, PM me in the forums or email me: chase at accesspr.com
