DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Do you ever get excited about a new possibility? So much that your performance
with your current opportunity diminishes? That is where I'm at right now. It is
hard to motivate myself to put my best into my waitress job, knowing that I may get
to quit soon and live the good life, without worrying about feeding my family! It's
a very nice thought, but should something happen, I could be burning bridges here at
the restaurant. The cook is messing up even more often than normal, as I forget to
check up on him. Instead, I'm dreaming about fighting with gleaming weapons and
sparkling armor.
I'm going to have to try extra hard this week, even though my dreams lie
elsewhere! My challenge to help achieve those dreams goes out to Long Biggar, who I
hope to give a loss on his way out. Besides, he beat me before and I'd like to see
if I can do better this time out!
The fight last time with Shelley was quite similar to most of the fights we've
had in the past. She seems to like the abuse I give her, as she keeps coming around
for more. I won't complain though, because her tips are quite adequate.

Welcome ARDIVENT. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights
have I fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... What's with CORBIN
ROSS? He actually beat BASH BROS. WAITRESS' WHAT WATER?, and walked away with 11
more points from the fight. Laughs were big at BLUVALLEY WARRIORS while they watched
CORBIN ROSS clobber WHAT WATER?. She lost 8 points and got bruised from objects
thrown from the stands. Try as he might, LONG BIGGAR wasn't good enough at
persuading THE COOK MESSED UP to step down from the Duelmaster's throne... I suppose
you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow fighters? Tough!
No matter the time or place, men will always duel. ARDIVENT thinks THE 27 CLUB
and their 23-22-0 is too much! If at first you don't succeed, give up... Management
must be dealin', as the boys at FANDILS ain't reelin'! THE 27 CLUB's mad! What do
people see in KURT COBAIN? His 5-6-0? THE 27 CLUB ain't talkin', but he's got 63
points.
