Notes from the arena champ.
I've seen my cook do some bizarre things, but fortunately, I've never seen him
use a Violent Orange. Sounds like something that could cause the restaurant to get
sued. Oh, but wait! I don't care about that anymore! I QUIT!!!!
Not that I hated being a waitress, but being a Lord Protector is such much
better. I hear the restaurants on the Isle are much nicer and their cooks do things
right.
I'm off to the Dark Arena for my final fight. But I've got so much to do before
that. I need to get my hair and nails done. I need to figure out what to wear. And
packing!
Thank you all for your support. You have no idea how much tips mean to us
waitresses! A little bit can go a long ways!

Notes from Assur: The Cook Messed Up is my 5th AB to the Isle. I'm writing without
notes, but she graduates with something like 4 masters (or very close to 4), missing
only a rating in Initiative. Her faves are uninspiring. With Very Little Endurance
and Normal Damage, the real challenge was balancing her strategy to maximize her
chance to win. I've learned a bit more about using Fists in the arena (two of her
losses). But I'm quite happy to see her gain immortality. It'll be a few years of
training before she enters another tourney and in spite of Fandil's complaints of her
being a bagger, she only had two tourneys under her belt. Granted she TV'd rookies
and went 6-3 as an Initiate, but not what I call a bagger.
SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of ARDIVENT! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. WHAT WATER? caught the eye of many
in the gladiatorial commission as she skillfully bested CORBIN ROSS and was awarded
24 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, WHAT WATER? put
down CORBIN ROSS, causing him to lose 22 points of recognition in the process. Most
watched of the fights this week, the spotlight was on STONE GOLEM as he bore arms
against the Dark Arena Challenge of reigning Duelmaster THE COOK MESSED UP. The
crowds were amazed this turn, as STONE GOLEM killed the Duelmaster, THE COOK MESSED
UP, leaving BASH BROS. WAITRESS in mourning. With bloody hand WHAT WATER? has
ascended to the throne of champions. Is she that one which is spoken of in the
ancient texts? No confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has gained
their position using magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city ARDIVENT. I saw one fighter that warriors avoided when this week's
challenge seeking began. AZURE CLOUDS is feared. This much I can say. If you
didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find any of FANDILS last
week. Busy avoiding AZURE CLOUDS? Loose talk at the arena has reached my ears and
it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after CORBIN ROSS. Watch your
back!
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing
is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in ARDIVENT. Nice atmosphere you have here! More than a sharp eye must I
keep, indeed a stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari
await me! Till next we meet remember: a fool flies into a rage quickly and often.
