TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Suicide sat on his throne in his study drumming his fingers on the arms as he
faced his warriors.
"It has begun," he said, "the shock value is gone so now it is the divide and
conquer." He rubbed his chin with his left hand, "Go practice, I'll go through the
names for my challenges."
"May I make a suggestion?" asked Killer.
"Go ahead."
"Well, it seems Otis the Drunk has good records, if we challenge them it could
drop them down a notch."
Suicide nodded, "There is also the back door treatment."
"What do you mean?" Man Hunter asked.
Suicide stood up, "Simple really, announce a team to challenge, all the while
you're scouting a real target and when you have that team scouted and know their
weaknesses you strike, not to hurt but to kill."
The warriors nodded.
"Their souls will be mine!" laughed Suicide.
The team of Code Red walked to the graveyard.
"It is peaceful," Lethal said going to the crypt of lost souls.
They went down the stairs and noticed a light in the left tunnel.
"Who's there?" whispered Man Hunter and got a slap in the back of the head by
Lethal who was behind the Shewish Giant.
Suicide let the way until they saw two beings standing in the middle of the
room.
"These two have agreed to help with their knowledge to gather souls and destroy
the opposition." He pointed to the one standing on the left, "This is Mammon, Lord
of the Third Circle, he is for absolute power."
Mammon nodded, "The world will bow down to me and know I am all there is and all
will fall to me."
"And this is Lilith, "Lordess of the Sixth Circle."
"Just because I am female, do not underestimate me."
The group shook their heads.
"Their souls will be ours," laughed Suicide.
Inside the Double-X courthouse Judge looked over the files of the man accused.
"You ruined two horseshoes at the local stable, yes."
The man looked around the courtroom.
"I'm up here," Judge said.
"I tried to fix them," the man said.
"I asked a yes or no question."
"Yes, your honor," said the man in a trembling voice.
"Well, since this is your only charge against you, forty lashes will do," Judge
said slamming his gavel and two guards took the man kicking and screaming.

Notes from the arena champ.
Hail all and well met. It's me again....
All right, so Swamp Burp Hammer, that was a chest puffing, bold, really high up
challenge (Hey Drake, take NOTE) but if you thought I was going to go easy on ya
because we were once turf war ally, humf! (Okay, I might have if I knew you were
coming.) I would let Orc Plague get a chance to get the throne but I'm scared of
him. He's a wall of steel and a TV runner-up, who wouldn't!
This turn's challenge will go to Sister Mary Sarah; even though she's a BOY!!! He
deserves it at 146 points AND best 2 of 3 hah! So quit ducking me!
Scomss My bad. I don't want you guys to think that I whine about your challenges.
The more the merrier. Plus, if you lose, no turf alliances get any points, and if
you win, Buddy Lee cares less. So bring it on, free for all. I don't want to sound
cocky because I've had a little more than a few drinks. I think I've become an
alcoholic since I first got the throne. So on that note (hic-up), celebrate your
wins and mourn your losses. (hic-up)

Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out DOUBLE-X to see
what's new. I couldn't believe it. Did THINGS I DROOL IN really go up by 13? If
only those guys didn't have so may missing teeth... Gross! STRANGE BREW had like a
really albendranius week! Those hunks got a 3-1-1 and wound up as 10th team! I
couldn't believe it. Did ABYSMAL RITES really go up by 15? If only those guys
didn't have so may missing teeth... Gross! DEAD GAWDS had like a really
albendranius week! Those hunks got a 5-0-0 and wound up as 12th team! I couldn't
believe it. Did DOK SIK KILLAS really go up by 13? If only those guys didn't have
so may missing teeth... Gross! LOST SOULS had like a really albendranius week!
Those hunks got a 3-2-0 and wound up as 18th team! I couldn't believe it. Did IRON
LEGION really go up by 11? If only those guys didn't have so may missing teeth...
Gross! SALEM'S LOT had like a really albendranius week! Those hunks got a 3-2-1 and
wound up as 25th team! Cut this out and put it in your scrapbooks, THE OPERA!
'Cause they got 3-1-0 and moved up to 3rd! MVP award for KILL*SWITCH? DARQUE
FORCES' proud of him after beating DRAMA QUEEN and getting 34 points. Talk about yer
major upsets! BLACK LOTUS' match with TEN IS RAQUET cost her a loss of 13 points!
MORWHEN thinks hers 15-6-2 and studly character is good enough to face up to the
Duelmaster. Any bets? Was that a tear I saw in MORWHEN's eye, as she took over
Duelmastership? And wasn't OPAI fit to be tied! Who was the wiseguy that said
DOUBLE-X's Duelmaster was paying for drinks at The Warty Toad? Don't look at me!
I gotta admit I haven't been in "deep con caves" with any spies. Really, I just
wing this stuff. OF WOLF AND MAN was DOUBLE-X's most avoided team. Is there some
award for that? I don't know what THE LAST RESORT's been doing. They certainly
haven't been accepting many fights from OF WOLF AND MAN, that's fer sher. Can
ABYSMAL RITES' LOST SOUL be more popular than me? He was challenged the most, but is
that really the same? SAMURAI is being unfair. He's challenged down 19 against
PARTY TRAP. I don't know why they let this stuff go on. (I'd better shut up) A
lotta people lost a lotta money in a lotta bets, when SAMURAI challenged PARTY TRAP,
19 points below and lost! Send 'im to the Dark Arena! Speaking of challenging 58
points above did you hear about COURT JESTER of EMPIRE RISING vs. OLD HABITS' SISTER
SLEDGE? (And how was that intro!) COURT JESTER lost to SISTER SLEDGE, but it got 6
points. SISTER SLEDGE won, and got 3 points. I don't get it. For sure, I was
holding my breath when I found out TEMPUS challenged JACK & JILL. After all, haven't
WARHAMMERS and ROYAL FLUSH had a long standing duel in DOUBLE-X? It wasn't a
spectacular fight, or anything, but JACK & JILL wants me to write about it since he
lost to TEMPUS. Satisfied? CINDI BEAR must not be a good enough fighter to get in
fair fights. She challenged PATRICK. 8 is a big difference. (Well, that's what
they tell me.) I thought CINDI BEAR showed great skill and promise when she bested
PATRICK. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Challenges, revenges, Bloodfeuds. All DOUBLE-X ever talks about is fighting!
Me, I'm more laid back. Pinch me, I must be dreaming!!! ORC PLAGUE returns from the
Dark Arena, maybe a "little upset" at his DARQUE FORCES teammates... What a bummer!
GROO got wasted by ABANDON HOPE! But with a 4-5-0, I guess OBSCURE LEGENDS aren't
too bummed. It was kind of sad, seeing old DRAMA QUEEN stumbling around the arena,
before KILL*SWITCH finished her off. Oh well! DEATH really fought hard against
SWAMP BEAR. That'll teach THE BEAR'S PAW not to go and kill any of DEAD GAWDS' guys
again, huh! Hey you guys, don't you think your families would like to hear from you?

Our next summer FTF will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, July 27-29, 2007. It will be
held at the Sheraton Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, on 3405 Lenox Road NE (404-261-9250).
Room rates are $95.00 per night, 1-4 occupancy. There is a free shuttle from the
MARTA station two blocks away and free parking, high speed internet (for extra charge),
fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--ask for the Reality
