Notes from the arena champ.
Thanks for giving me one last turn to spread my word around here. Nice strategy
last turn by my opponent, but it wasn't quite enough. This turn I go off to the Dark
Arena, as is tradition with all of Crip's graduating warriors. My particulars are
15-6-6-21-17-14-5, with a +4 bonus in attack, and I leave with an AdMaster in Attack,
Master in Decise and Init, and an Advanced Expert in Riposte with 146 total skills.
The commission says my favourites are Very High/Very Low with a Hatchet and a
tendency to learn Attack skills. Can't say as I've ever tried that weapon, so I will
attempt to see if it's worth its while in my final fight.

Greetings, Warriors of TEMPLE OF ABARSIS. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny
Vir to give you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. The boys at
LAND OF OZ left the arena dejected, after being kicked out of the top spot by
DEVIATION. Good show! He who laughs last didn't get the joke. Speaking of laughing
at jokes, observe ROYAL FLUSH. Last week they got 3-2-0 to drop by 7! Nothing works
for a team like victory (How's that for a perceptive observation?) as PALINDROMES can
attest... VEGAN CANNIBALS posted a nice gain, to come in 6th. Everybody loves a
winner... Practice pays for KATIE, who pummelled QUADLING, to pocket 32 points. A
certain someone should cut down on the drinking and practice more, after losing 16
points to RODDY PIPER. (Discrete enough, PINT?) Well, Duelmaster ACE OF BASE Dark
Arena Challenged DARK ARENA's MGR 2-0 AS CAPT. Is a 13-7-0 good enough? The crowds
were amazed this turn, as MGR 2-0 AS CAPT killed the Duelmaster, ACE OF BASE, leaving
ROYAL FLUSH in mourning. Even 96 points weren't good enough to save ACE OF BASE from
KATIE. TEMPLE OF ABARSIS welcomes KATIE as the new Duelmaster! So who's the team
that's been walking into taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt
to me.
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! Like a horde of jackals fleeing from
the lion, so did the "warriors" in TEMPLE OF ABARSIS avoid OTTODROME TW. As a woman
of good breeding scorns the "warriors" of FAST FOOD, so did that sorry team shy from
OTTODROME TW If challenges were horses, FANG could open up a fast food joint! Them's
the breaks, LORAZEPAM. Expecting fair challenges from OBSIDIAN ORDER is evidently
too much to ask. RAVAGE subdued LORAZEPAM. The whole thing leaves a bitter memory.
GIZMO challenged BARLEY! Who says DARQUE FORCES are just a bunch of wimps! GIZMO of
DARQUE FORCES kept his wits as he was beat by BARLEY.
Like the wind whispering among the pines, do hearest I many disquieting rumors.
FROG SHIV in the Dark Arena wasn't enough for JUNEAU DAWNING of ALASKAN PIPELINE.
Maybe that certain serving girl(?) at The Dripping Blade will be! Congratulations,
LABATTS. The manager of CALM AND SEDATE should have sent DIAZEPAM to the Dark Arena
for having a 6-6-1 long ago. You've heard about PERCHERON of LES TURFISTES. Death
plays no favorites, and neither do I. What was a 6-5-0 doing on the fields in the
first place? TIME OF TORMENT of ABYSMAL RITES, possessing a sorry record of 5-6-0,
lost his last battle to GENCON of BLACK LIGHTNING. Young warriors, take note! Such
is a failure's lot! KATIE of ALL-STAR NANA'S sends QUADLING of LAND OF OZ goes to
the Weary Warrior's Retirement Home. TEMPLE OF ABARSIS has no place for weaklings!
Does OF WOLF & MAN care so little for their fallen comrade, SALADIN? DIAZEPAM was
heard at The Dripping Blade sneering... Oh hard! that to strike a flame, the match
itself must needs be wasting!
Leave me now, you base fools! As the seasons change, and the creatures of the
