TWX PRE-EVENT UPDATE and COMMUNICATION (12-16-15)
ONE, only one, MORE NEWSLETTER BEFORE THE START OF TWX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After the last DM47 newsletter (T362 on 12-15-15), the following is the current
status of entrants in TWX. Updates are also posted regularly on the RSI site under
Turf Wars.
There is much yet to be done. Some managers and teams are not yet declared.
Quite a few certs yet are awaited. One alliance (Mercenaries) is looking for
teammates. ONLY ONE MORE TURN and newsletter before the start of TWX! You need to
act now! Maybe yesterday.
Remember, it takes four things to make an entry. All must be strictly done for a
team to be scored in the TWX.
a. Get yourself a team in DM47.
b. Announce the alliance in the DM47 newsletter. (code: AN)
c. Each team manager declare (in the DM47 newsletter) for an alliance. Include the
team and manager name. (code: MD)
d. Each team manager have two certs submitted in his/her name. (Have them sent to OZ
or The Consortium.) (code: CE)
So get with it, folks. Let's just "do it"!

Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out NORTH FORK to
see what's new. Like, DEATHLY HALLOWS had to be so embarrassed when they got kicked
off #1 spot by NATURAL B. KILLERS 2! Way to go NATURAL B. KILLERS 2! I couldn't
believe it. Did DEITYS OF CHAOS really go up by 12? If only those guys didn't have
so may missing teeth... Gross! Cut this out and put it in your scrapbooks, LAND OF
OZ! 'Cause they got 3-1-0 and moved up to 4th! MVP award for LAUGHING LUNATIC?
A'MERKIN INJUNS' proud of her after beating BARSTOOL 5 and getting 29 points. Talk
about yer major upsets! BARSTOOL 5's match with LAUGHING LUNATIC cost it a loss of
24 points! Don't you think the Duelmaster is being unfair? I think ASP should let
QUEEN OF THE SOUTH be Duelmaster for a while, without fighting about it. I hear the
top team insists all their warriors get nine hours sleep. They want photogenic
fighters for PR photos.
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. OTTODROME TW
was NORTH FORK's most avoided team. Is there some award for that? Hhmph! What kind
of warriors are THE WILD HUNT? OTTODROME TW, an easy team to beat if I ever saw one,
can't get them to accept an invitation! Like, is SILK popular, or what? He was
challenged the most in all of NORTH FORK! He's got a 5-6-0, is that good? People
were asking me did LION REALLY challenge BUGS? (all right, maybe they didn't, but it
sounded good!) It wasn't a spectacular fight, or anything, but BUGS wants me to write
about it since he was defeated by LION. Satisfied?
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. I'm always kinda bummed when a decent
warrior gets killed. SS GUARD, of NATURAL B. KILLERS 2 had a 8-5-0 when he got
bumped off by DRONE A1. EGG NOGGIN bloodfeuded (is that a word?) HARRY SLAUGHTER for
revenge over some guy's bad fortune. Was it really worth it? RON WE SLAY really
fought hard against PHAROS. That'll teach WHITE SHADOW not to go and kill any of
DEATHLY HALLOWS' guys again, huh! Like was that some Bloodfeud, or what? (QUICK
SAND vs. AMIINANY DANGER, that is.) What if they had a fight and nobody showed up?
I'd be out of a job, that's what!!!
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be

'live' report. We will post in the RSI online forums the official scores and those
scores will be reflected in the next turn's report, but champ declarations will most
likely have delayed impact on the scores.

reality, "Blood Games." A publisher has offered a contract to publish the novel and
I'll continue to provide detailed updates as they become available. However, I wanted
to share a quick blurb about the novel.

WAR!
The land of Alastari is thrown into chaos caused by the invasion of the Rirorni
horde. Swept up in the conflict and captured is My-re, a young girl living on the
edge of the Rirorni plains. Regarded as a spoil of war and growing up in a Rirorni
family band, her troubles just begin as warlords within the Rirorni Empire fight each
other for prestige, property, and personal honor. For mutual protection, My-re is
taught the family band's Wall of Steel combat style, where if executed correctly, no
blade, no weapon, no arrow can penetrate.
In a land where life is dangerous, brutal, and short, My-re is confronted by a
prominent Rirorni warrior and kills him in self-defense. She is sold to a Rirorni
slaver after being found guilty of murder, and exiled back to her native land of
Alastari. However, there is no happy reunion, no joyful return, as she is sentenced
to fight in the Blood Games arena for her crime.
My-re's one chance of freedom resides in winning the Blood Game tournament. But
the champion is not declared by besting your opponents, but by slaughtering them.

As with novel "Dark Arena," I worked with RSI to write and publish "Blood Games"
in the Duel 2 world of Alastari. But it will always be known as Duelmasters to me.
I wanted to share a little bit of background about myself, I started my first
team back on turn 12 in Niania (Arena #2) on February 13, 1990. I managed a team
called Wolverines. The next summer at Gen Con, I started my main team, Skull Squadron
in Rocanis (Arena #56). The following summer at Gen Con, I stared Legion of Death, in
Valamantis (Arena #62). Twenty-five years later, I've graduated numerous warriors,
which would not be an easy feat to count.
