Notes from the arena champ.
What a sweet surprise. The taste up here on the throne is delicious!
And Grape Season isn't supposed to be until late summer....
Oh, how I'd love to grow here on the throne for two more turns. Assur says he has a
patch all picked out for me in Darkholm. I just hope I can ripen enough to earn the
trust he bestowed in me. Who knows? Maybe one day, I will become the finest vintage
of my year. Maybe even the decade....
Unfortunately, the odds are that I'll be squished into juice next turn. I am 0-10
against Grandmaster and 1-2 against Willie Mcgee. Even worse, I'm 1-3 against the
champion level stand ins. I suppose I could always lose and continue in the sunshine
if nobody fights. The future is simply unknown until it becomes the past.
One thing I am aware of.... The next person to walk by make just take a fancy of me
and decide that my future belongs to him and I see several Challenger Adepts
salivating at the thought of a nice, juicy...

SPY REPORT
Greetings, Warriors of TRICORUS. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to
give you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. ALL-UGLY TEAM?
Who? RONIN is the top team these days, buddies! Practice pays for GALBEI, who
pummelled BLACK LOTUS, to pocket 18 points. Win some, lose some. Speaking of which,
GALBEI was winsome, after beating BLACK LOTUS and seeing her lose 13 points.
Duelmaster GRAPE from FRUITS is going for the gold, as he challenged RONIN's
GRANDMASTER. Ooh, the excitement! Now I can't insult GRANDMASTER, as he has
gloriously dueled to the top. Oh great new Duelmaster!!! (Stop me if I lay it on
too thick) So who was the warrior seen charging into immovable walls and challenging
dead trees? Someone's got a basic problem...
And how sociable are TRICORUS' warriors? Come, let us see. Perhaps the
warriors of ALL-UGLY TEAM should take up some hobbies, as they are the most avoided
team... Like a pup with its tail between its legs, AMAZON ELITE scurried away from
ALL-UGLY TEAM. Oh, the shame! If challenges were horses, GRANDMASTER could open up
a fast food joint! Them's the breaks, NEALA. Expecting fair challenges from RONIN
is evidently too much to ask. SAMURAI defeated NEALA with a point difference of 17.
So this is what TRICORUS calls a duel. This will make an interesting tale.
Mismatched by 12 points, AILLENDEI defeated ANKH. Is this really worth noting? I
thought ANKH showed great skill and promise when he was beat by AILLENDEI. All
right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... Q: What's a record
like 6-11-1 get you? A: A free trip to the Dark Arena! This week's winner: ZAO of
RONIN! Questions are being raised about the disposing of severed body parts in the
arena. A certain tavern in TRICORUS would I avoid!

All -- I've seen what's on the forum. So I'm prey, am I, Max. You and all your
devious buddies will become my prey, even those I thought okay. I don't have to
explain anything I do, much like yourselves so bring it on. Feel free to come over
to 31 for a thrashing. Oh, by the way, I am also in a new alliance. They tend to
share my sentiments about the VC. If they follow me or not, we will see; I'm not at

The 2006 Mordanti Alliance Olympics are off to a grand start! With seventeen teams
declared, running under eight different flags (not to mention six additional non-
Olympic teams present), it is looking to be as tough as any previous Olympiad, if not
more! Olympians petitioned the Commission to make an allowance for late entries, and
the Commission agreed, and will allow new entrants to partake, as long as they are
active by Round 3 (T546, due May 29th). So if you wish to enter, please email your
intentions to amicitia@gwi.net with team name, manager name, and affiliation
(alliance name or independent), or show up in Mordant (DM-1) on, or before, May 29th
and place your declarations in the newsletter!

The Dark Knights of the Desolate Empire want to announce the joining of a new
member who cherishes the same ideals, respect and loyalty that we hold dear.
From this day forward let all know that Blackstorm is now a Dark Knight of the
Desolate Empire Alliance. With him as our chosen brother, our alliance only becomes
stronger. Let all his foes become ours, and ours his. May all our enemies' blood
