SPY REPORT
So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. It looks like the guys(?) at ALLIES OF RIFF had
a good week as they went 3-1-0 to put them in 3rd place. I guess steroids help! Hey
everybody, watch out for GHETTY, who flew up 20 points in the rankings after mashing
EMBEZZLING SCRIBE like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. And falling like a
basher in the top ten was 30 GRAND, who dropped 3 points after a disappointing (to
say the least) bout with KHALUHUMS DWARF. Our last turn's Duelmaster has lost,
folks, lost to KUNG FU MASTER, and GALILEO'S MATH has made the way for a new
Duelmaster! With GALILEO'S MATH clearing the throne, 9TH TOMBSTONE of INNOCENT
GEOMETRY takes a proud seat as TRICORUS' new Duelmaster, by virtue of recognition
points. Advice to bashers--never force anything, just get a bigger halberd!
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Remember: alliances are great,
but try and take your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.

Algernon, who had NOT gotten the name change he'd asked for, looked at the latest
petitioner. This was a typical gladiator, big, muscular, and scarred, with a frown.
"Ah, what can I do for you?"
"Name change. I heard we can do that. I'm tired of being Jane Doe."
"I'd think you would be," Algernon said faintly. "The Commission has actually
been thinking about this. It isn't FREE, mind you! It takes money to run our office,
you know, and we want to buy some goats--"
