The sages err'd not in their foretelling of a god descending upon FRATSFA, for
I, Novgorodny Vir, have returned! Nothing is certain in FRATSFA, with changing
loyalties, changing Duelmasters. Write this down: new top team--MIDDLE WAY 8. OHIO
had cause to celebrate, after AKRON got 26 points by beating RENDOR QUIL. MAYHEM
certainly had a baffled expression on his face, after losing to LENA KORIL and losing
10 points in the process! MUTILATE found out that FRATSFA isn't a democracy. You've
gotta be the best to be Duelmaster here! So who's the team that's been walking into
taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
A Zenmaster once told me, 'Does not the spinning wheel turn? And do not the
little birds cry out?' Any ideas? To quell some nasty rumors, the guys in OTTO'S
PARTS are not carrying any incurable diseases. No need to avoid 'em. As a woman of
good breeding scorns the "warriors" of ASSASSIN NATION, so did that sorry team shy
from OTTO'S PARTS Is it charming personality? Conversational abilities? Good oral
hygiene? Whatever it is, TOLEDO is the most challenged warrior.
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... Never one to advocate
diplomacy and restraint, I was pleased to see MIDDLE WAY 8 retaliate against ASSASSIN
NATION in bloodfeud! Questions are being raised about the disposing of severed body
parts in the arena. A certain tavern in FRATSFA would I avoid!
Do not think spyreporting in FRATSFA is the highlight of my life. My fingers
tire and I fear my incessant prattling may cause unfair judgement upon my impeccable

FACE-TO-FACE XXXIV
Our next Winter Face-to-Face will be held on Martin Luther King weekend, Friday
through Sunday, 14-16 January 2005, at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, Arizona (4400 S
Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
If you haven't been to a Face-to-Face before, you're overdue. If you have,
