TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Questers' Contest INFO!
There were only eleven teams active last turn in the contest. It seems that Le
Pentarque is right and most of the newer teams have bowed out, with the exception of
just a few.
However, even with the lower attendance, the competition is getting mighty
fierce. Heathen is still leading the Quest! Can anyone catch him? Lady Fern made a
push this turn and ended up in second for her efforts. I knew your Flower Girls had
some surprises up their skirts. *Grin!* Le Pentarque took third place with a win
percentage over Crip! (C'mon Crip, no more maintenance for you!) *Grin!* I finally
had a 5-0 turn over here and still couldn't raise above fifth. Fangthayne is behind
me in sixth place by a mere one point deficit. (Nice 4-1!) Ghab follows him
trailing by nine.
Wasby had a 3-2-0 for a six point gain on his return to the sands.
Az and Wulhere still remain in the top ten, despite their inactivity. The
newcomer Bane, after having gone 4-1-1 on his debut, went 1-4-0 to put him at one
point.
Bleak Legion's Expatriate went 2-3-1 and gained 2 points to stay firmly in
control of last place.
Now that my poor excuse of a spy report is done I can thank everyone for their
ideas and advice for the next quest of the Best. I am already working on a rough
draft for the next one.

No questions. Just advice on the next contest. All of which I am taking into
consideration to try and make it as fun as it can be for us all.... If there are, or

I plan on leaving the list of requirements, scoring formula, and prize printed
throughout the contest for easy reference.
Requirements!
1) Only ONE team per manager entered in the contest. Only one active team in
Fratsfa during the contest, PERIOD!
2) Only one TP on your team at a time. (If it dies, then you may replace it.)
3) You must declare (1) warrior as your team scout. Points will not be scored until
a scout is declared!!!
4) You do not need (3) three warriors in the initiates class to compete. FE does
not play a factor for eligibility!!!!
5) If you bloodfeud, you must use a different warrior each time to score the FB
points. (If a warrior is used twice, he will only be awarded the points for the
win or point subtracted for the loss on the second bloodfeud.
6) You must declare your team in the p-ads to be entered.
7) A champion and scout cannot be the same warrior.
8) Champions are not required (manager's choice). Champions must be declared on
their first fight of the contest!
Now to the scoring formula:
Wins + Kills - Losses = Base score
Base score + Variant score = Total score
BASE SCORE POINTS:
Win = +1 pt
Kill = +1 pt
Loss = -1 pt
VARIANT SCORE POINTS:
Scout Win = +2 pts
Scout Loss = -2 pts
Scout death = -5 pts
Champion win = +3 pts
Champion loss = -3 pts
Stylemaster for turn = +1 pt
Most avoided team = +2 pts
Successful Bloodfeud = +2 pts
Failed Bloodfeud = -2 pts
Let's say (A) team goes 3 - 2 - 2 = 3 wins + 2 kills - 2 losses = + 3 base
score. Team (A)'s champion won (+3 pts) and is style master for the turn (1 pt).
His scout lost (-2 pts) for a total turn score of +5 pts.
Now, let's say team (B) goes 1 - 4 - 1 = 1 win + 1 kill - 4 losses = - 2 pts
base score. His scout won (+2 pts) and the scouts win was a successful bloodfeud (+2
pts). So, the total points for this turn would be +2 pts. (There was no champion on
this team.)
+25 bonus points will be given to managers that submit a brief history (5
paragraph minimum) including manager alias and stable name by the contest's third
turn. These points will be added to the team by T-210.

SPY REPORT
Busy, busy, busy, lots of things happening in FRATSFA this turn, and let's start
with a look at some of the teams. It seems the training can make the difference, as
SILVER KNIGHTS is pushed out of top team by BLOOD AND GUTS!, who came from 3rd with a
4-1-0 this turn. Now keep the taverns open late tonight, for there are sorrows to
drown for ODIN'S CHOSEN, whose 1-3-0 this turn dropped them by 5 into 7th. HOPLITES
stable has parlayed this turn's 5-0-1 into a 7 space move up the rankings. This
brings them up to 2nd place. Good work, guys! The OTTO'S PARTS guild has had a
4-1-1 turn and deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this kind
of thing can lead. And let's see, BLACKBEARD fought SER ARTUR DAYNE and gained 21
points and contributed to PIECES OF EIGHT's 4-1-1. SER STEEL has lost to SER ILYN
PAYNE, falling 10 points, while helping make BRONZE KNIGHTS a 1-4-0 turn. This turn
INSOLENT IRIS Bloodfeuded IGOR MALMORT in what was FRATSFA's Title bout. The
attempts to dethrone the Duelmaster have failed, and INSOLENT IRIS remains FRATSFA's
top warrior for another turn. By the way, was that our Duelmaster that I saw last
night, cramped under the table at The Victory Tavern?
The crowd's roar, the smell of iron and leather, mixed with sweat, what more
could a warrior ask of life? Well, besides that. I also notice that the FLOWER
GIRLS stable was the most avoided team this turn. Come on FRATSFA, what are you
afraid of? And avoiding FLOWER GIRLS more than any other team we find ASSASSIN
NATION. FRATSFA, are we going to accept, or respect this sort of thing? Well,
sports fans, take notice that AZRITH from DARK DRAGONS was FRATSFA's most challenged
warrior this turn. Building dreams on hope, BRAIN TUMOUR challenged up 28 points
this turn to take on PANDEMIC from DARK RAIDERS stable. And now nobody knows where
PANDEMIC is right now, after giving BRAIN TUMOUR 13 points worth of recognition. As
quiet chuckles rise behind me. In a fit of brilliance or of stupidity (hard to say
sometimes), KYKENSTIENBURG challenged CAULIFLOWER EARS today, facing a 32 difference
in recognition. And though KYKENSTIENBURG lost to CAULIFLOWER EARS, the valiant
attempt earned it 5 worth of recognition. Foolhardiness can sometimes pay. ABSOLUTE
GRACE of HOPLITES had better have a good reason for challenging down 12 points in a
challenge which he killed. I thought ABSOLUTE GRACE showed great skill and promise
when he put to death NUMB SKULL. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. SIGURD has departed FRATSFA, leaving ODIN'S CHOSEN without their 4-4-1
warrior. Question, just what was his team doing at the taverns last night? Whatever
bright future CHAOTIC may have had, it's all history now. The manager of ASSASSIN
NATION has lost a promising 2-0-1 warrior. I guess it was coming sooner or later,
SILVER KNIGHTS has lost SER ARTUR DAYNE, and FRATSFA is bound to miss him. For a
little while, at least. Congratulations go out to BLEAK LEGION, with OLD GRIM
revenging a bloodfeud against SIGURD of ODIN'S CHOSEN. Kudos go out to LORD JON SNOW
this turn, for revenging BRONZE KNIGHTS' bloodfeud against BLEAK LEGION's warrior
LOST LOVE. Well done. The Victory Tavern declares a free round for INSOLENT IRIS
and all of FLOWER GIRLS, for having revenged BLOOD AND GUTS!'s IGOR MALMORT for

The Olympics have arrived!
The Mordanti Olympics, having been gone for six years, have returned to the Mordanti
Alliance, sponsored by Amicitia Primoris. Teams have competed against each other for
recognition and notoriety four times in the past. It is far past time for the fifth
Mordanti Olympics to be held. The Mordanti Olympics shall be held in the Mordant
arena (DM-1) from May 1st (T544) through Oct 30 (T557). There will be a
'registration period' lasting until T543, where teams will be allowed to register by
activating in Mordant and declaring their participation in the personals. Rules will
be posted in the Mordant arena (DM-1) newsletter no later than T543, but shall be
available online before then. An announcement will be made as to where they will be
posted. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
