TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Questers Contest INFO!
As always the competition is fierce, and this round was no exception. Lady Fern
extended her head with a 12 pt. gain, and now leads Crip by those 12 pts. Heathen
has fallen to 3rd being 1 pt behind Crip. Le Pentarque is still gaining and remains
in 4th. Ghab has been a scoring machine of late and gained 7 pts. to close the gap
between 4th and 5th place. Fangthayne gained 4 pts. to pass me up by one and
reclaimed 6th place. I didn't make any headway and scored 0 pts on the turn.
Azreal, even though MIA is still is 8th with 32 pts. Wasby...uh...I...uh mean Osiris
stayed at 30 pts to keep 9th place. Goat, although inactive for the turn, rounds out
our top ten with 23 pts.
Wulfhere Skullsplitter and his Force of Five were present and hopefully will
remain active. (We MISSED you!!!!!). Still and the Expatriate had a rough time on
the sand and are holding down the bottom of the list (18th & 19th). Time to knuckle
down, fellas!!!
Only four more turns to go in our contest will be at an end. Who will claim the
title of Fratsfa's Quest for the Best's "Ultimate Victor." Good luck to all, and I'm
already looking forward to running the next one. Who knows, with the right PR, this
might become the contest of contests one day (GRIN). Or at least fill up a little

*Questions & Statements*
I did not see any questions this last turn; however I want to encourage everyone
to speak up about the next running of the quest. I want to thank Insolent Iris for
her compliments on our organization and running of this contest. It is a lot of work
at times, but I would like to let everyone know that my co-hosts and I have enjoyed
it immensely and look forward to hosting the next one. If there are questions, you

I plan on leaving the list of requirements, scoring formula, and prize printed
throughout the contest for easy reference.
Requirements!
1) Only ONE team per manager entered in the contest. Only one active team in
Fratsfa during the contest, PERIOD!
2) Only one TP on your team at a time. (If it dies, then you may replace it.)
3) You must declare (1) warrior as your team scout. Points will not be scored until
a scout is declared!!!
4) You do not need (3) three warriors in the initiates class to compete. FE does
not play a factor for eligibility!!!!
5) If you bloodfeud, you must use a different warrior each time to score the FB
points. (If a warrior is used twice, he will only be awarded the points for the
win or point subracted for the loss on the second bloodfeud.
6) You must declare your team in the p-ads to be entered.
7) A champion and scout cannot be the same warrior.
8) Champions are not required (manager's choice). Champions must be declared on
their first fight of the contest!
Now to the scoring formula:
Wins + Kills - Losses = Base score
Base score + Varient score = Total score
BASE SCORE POINTS:
Win = +1 pt
Kill = +1 pt
Loss = -1 pt
VARIENT SCORE POINTS:
Scout Win = +2 pts
Scout Loss = -2 pts
Scout death = -5 pts
Champion win = +3 pts
Champion loss = -3 pts
Stylemaster for turn = +1 pt
Most avoided team = +2 pts
Successful Bloodfeud = +2 pts
Failed Bloodfeud = -2 pts
Let's say (A) team goes 3 - 2 - 2 = 3 wins + 2 kills - 2 losses = + 3 base
score. Team (A)'s champion won (+3 pts) and is style master for the turn (1 pt).
His scout lost (-2 pts) for a total turn score of +5 pts.
Now, let's say team (B) goes 1 - 4 - 1 = 1 win + 1 kill - 4 losses = - 2 pts
base score. His scout won (+2 pts) and the scouts win was a successful bloodfeud (+2
pts). So, the total points for this turn would be +2 pts. (There was no champion on
this team.)
+25 bonus points will be given to managers that submit a brief history (5
paragraph minimum) including manager alias and stable name by the contest's third
turn. These points will be added to the team by T-210.

Notes from the arena champ.
O.K. Let's see what is important on my list. Heading to Charleston today to
see my recently graduated (from Clemson) daughter, Lily, who just started graduate
school at The Citadel. Great kid. Smart. Tallish. Athletic. Rooming with a
triathlete.
In a couple of weeks, heading to Kansas City to see daughter #1, Jodi. (Kansas
University Jayhawk) and the Grandkids--Maxwell and Clara Rose. Apples of my wife's
life. (Not me, anymore.) The wife is staying 8 days, but I only get the long
weekend. Work interferes.
In between, it is Grand Rapids, MI, Monterrey, MX, Tyler, TX, and who knows what
all. Is there time to get the arena strategies in, and even more importantly, prep
for the Baltimore Face?
Hey, wait a minute? How did this get in here? It is me, Insolent Iris. Long
time Duelmistress of Fratsfa writing the monthly DM Column. Can't believe the boss
usurped Lady Fern who dumped that on me. What the heck. I will leave it in the
column. It's not like I have a lot to write. (I do have a lot of other interesting
attributes, however. Come on over to the Flower Shoppe and check them out.)
Life has been fun for The Fratsfa Quest. Does anyone know when it is over? We
need a break, because everyone is gunning for us at the moment. We really want to go
to Baltimore to show our stuff. That 0-15 mailer was quite the embarrassment. (But
we didn't miss a trick. Heh, heh. Little play on words, huh? See you at The Flower
Shoppe for more play.)
"To do" list.... Whom to challenge? What to do? Just leave it open and let
them come after me? (Most do that before, but, then, that's part of my allure.
Giggle.) Perhaps, I should challenge Vicious for another chance--if his weapon is
repaired and ready for action. (wink) Maybe a bloodfeud? Hmmmmmmm.

SPY REPORT
Much has changed in FRATSFA since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen
adapts to many situations, as do all successful fighters. Biff! Pow! FRATSFA
watched with glee as HOPLITES got knocked off top spot by FLOWER GIRLS! Hmmmph! I
always thought SILVER KNIGHTS was an over-rated team and they proved it with a 0-0-0!
Ya gotta be quick on yer feet! Keep your elbow off the table! Thrust! Block out
the pain! BLACK KNIGHTS 2 is now ranked 9th with a 4-1-0 turn. Some people say I
ramble too much, I don't say anything relevant. I repeat myself. I ramble. Well
BLOOD AND GUTS! moved up 3, to 2nd. What's with FERD? He actually beat FRATSFA's
TRUSTWORTHY SCRIBE, and walked away with 20 more points from the fight. Laughs were
big at ODIN'S CHOSEN while they watched GUTHHILD MIDWALL clobber PSYCHOSIS. She lost
15 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. I can barely restrain
my enthusiam for BLOOD AND GUTS!'s outstanding member, Duelmaster AUBIN L'AUROUGE.
Advice to fighters with a 1 will--give up fighting!
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... The most avoided team
was OTTO'S PARTS. In my day, no team with a 255-242-13 would scare me off! What's
the problem, FLOWER GIRLS? How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged
warrior, IGOR MALMORT! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you.
Keep challenging up 29 points, SER BLACKBALL, and I won't have to write about you
much longer. MERCILESS MUM always accepts those kind of challenges... Sometimes
what you expect to do (like in the fights) doesn't expect to turn out like you
thought. SER BLACKBALL bested MERCILESS MUM. It don't make sense. I hate going to
the effort of writing about the kind of fights that LUMINOUS ANGEL gets in. He
fights people like BERKANA, 12 points below. I thought LUMINOUS ANGEL showed great
skill and promise when he beat BERKANA. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? BUSHSUCKSTOADIE larned his lesson (SER ALLOCES taught it
well), and we right likely won't be seein' 'im fight any BLACK KNIGHTS 2 members with
the same gusto. Many a warrior has met his fate in a hungover stupor. You young
rapscallions, take note!
Well, I'm pretty much through. You guys need to get back practicing. FRATSFA
is a nice place to live, but I don't like to live in nice places. Time for my

To those involved, no, I have not abandoned your stories. But I've been letting them
drift, and that has to stop, so I am taking the time to make sure that I know where
they are going, more than just "what happens next" dreamed up on the fly, before
resuming work on them. No new stories will be started until at least one of the old
