Hi Everyone! Here I am again. Both of my potential opponents were involved in other challenge matches so they couldn't fight me, so I ended up with a stand-in (the Priest of Mytori). He's not that scary these days. I still haven't gotten invited to the Isle. As of today, I will have 49 fights. Maybe I'll get invited on my 50th? Hey, if I win three more fights in a row I'll have a winning record again! Woo hoo! I don't think I said it before, so I'd like to welcome Lost Souls to Rocanis Arena! Hi there! I notice that you're using your challenges AND your avoids. That's how to do it! Funny thing, Dark Heart has a 2-0-1 record. That means he killed somebody in the last two fights. Why isn't it mentioned in "The Dead" column? Did the slain warrior belong to a team that has left the arena? Same with Morwhen. What's the story here? I haven't been paying attention like I should. Well, I left this till the last minute as usual. Better rush it to the scribe. Have a great fortnight! I am Hedgehog, hear me roar! SPY REPORT It is I, Novgorodny Vir, Spymaster of Spymasters. Look on my work, ye mighty, and despair! PUNCH-OUT! had cause to celebrate, after KID QUICK got 24 points by beating SHANKS PONY. SHANKS PONY certainly had a baffled expression on his face, after losing to KID QUICK and losing 17 points in the process! HEDGEHOG found out being ROCANIS' Duelmaster isn't all nuts and berries, receiving 2 challenges! You could cut the tension with a scimitar as MECHANISM of TOOLS OF TORMENT met the Duelmaster. MECHANISM found out that ROCANIS isn't a democracy. You've gotta be the best to be Duelmaster here! So who was the warrior seen charging into immovable walls and challenging dead trees? Someone's got a basic problem... My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter. But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! Like a horde of jackals fleeing from the lion, so did the "warriors" in ROCANIS avoid REDHORSE. Like a pup with its tail between its legs, TOOLS OF TORMENT scurried away from REDHORSE. Oh, the shame! Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! Ask not for whom the sword slashes; it slashes for thee. Do not think spyreporting in ROCANIS is the highlight of my life. Keep those sands bloody and the buzzards fat! ROCANIS, I leave you now. The Duelmaster has agreed to foot my bill at The Grub & Rub Bar and Bistro. PERSONAL ADS Mechanism -- I don't see how you can keep learning from me like that. I'm so bored with the same old fights that I don't pay enough attention. -- Bitter Vetch Morwhen -- Was that the arenamaster saying "when"? I thought it was just your name. Darn. -- Large Dog Dark Heart -- I don't consider that a gladiator of your style HAS a soul to lose. -- Pieface P.S. But your heart is definitely dark. Black as a dirty stovepipe. Shanks Pony -- You really ought to give the pony back to Shank and get your own. -- Privet The Rirorni Soldiers ganged up on me! -- Rotten Core Yul or other anonymous Redhorse -- I once threw an apple at a dog that was chasing a chicken, and somehow the name stuck to me. -- Large Dog Pronghorn -- Desperation strategy? What's that? -- Rotten Core Eats Grass -- We suspect that there is some more subtle and sinister reason for the Cult Members on the Standby team. -- anonymous member of the Commission staff, who doesn't want to have a close encounter with cultists, hence the anonymity Tarantella -- Aren't you named after a dance? You certainly danced well with me... but I wonder how a dance ties in with your team name, "Lost Souls"? -- Eats Grass Jaiden -- You Lost Souls sure challenged for skills this turn, didn't you! Good for you! Glad I could teach you so much. -- Pronghorn Rotten Core -- You really are rotten! I never heard anything so nasty! -- Pronghorn Privet -- I was surprised to beat you. You're a good warrior. How's the arm? -- Shanks Pony Kid Quick -- Considering that you were matched against a less experienced warrior, and our fight was very short, the Commission certainly awarded you a bunch of skills. What's your secret? -- Yul Large Dog -- Sorry, I'm not going to stand still. I like my shins the way they are. And if you were really a LARGE dog, you could attack higher. -- Yul Well, I was matched against a stand-in, the Priest of Mytori. You know, when the Rirorni Horde attacked Rocanis, those priests were really scary and evil. So I've been told. I was about two years old at the time. This man was captured during that battle. They were gaunt, eerie-looking men, dressed in tattered wrappings, who flew in clouds of dust. Now, looking well groomed and well fed under his padded leather armor, and completely denied any magical powers, I've got to say he wasn't that frightening. He was just a sour-looking old man who passed more than his share of gas during our fight. -- Hedgehog 21 May 2005 Amendment for "Fratsfa's Quest for the Best!" Managers that have teams already established in Fratsfa need not have (3) three warriors in the initiates. FE will NOT be a factor. Stables may be entered at any time. Just announce your stable in the p-ads. *************************************************************************** This in my invitation to all managers who wish to prove their mettle against managers from all over Alastari. We have limited TP's in this contest to one a team at a time. We DO NOT want this contest to become a scum fest as many others have, hence the Andorian arena. Good luck to all who come to prove their skills. "May your enemies' blood flow freely" -- Dark Knight Toker, Desolate Empire Alliance 7 June 2005 I am in the process of moving house, and spotlight writing for the next two months will be very hit-and-miss. -- the Scribe LAST WEEK'S FIGHTS MECHANISM was bested by HEDGEHOG in a crowd pleasing 5 minute Challenge Title fight. YUL was devastated by PRIVET in a 1 minute mismatched match. ROTTEN CORE overcame EATS GRASS in a 3 minute fight. PIEFACE handily defeated PERSISTENT BEGGAR in a 1 minute uneven melee.
