SPY REPORT
Thankyouthankyou. It's great for me, The Unknown Spymaster to be back in
ROCANIS. Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid! Say
good-bye to GET, as they are pushed from the coveted top team spot by the BAD APPLES
stable. Coming up with a solid 2-0-0 outing, PHILANTHROPISTS has advanced 4 places
in the rankings. Hey everybody, watch out for TREEKILLER, who flew up 24 points in
the rankings after mashing MICHELLE like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. And
falling like a basher in the top ten was MICHELLE, who dropped 8 points after a
disappointing (to say the least) bout with TREEKILLER. Try as hard as the GET stable
might, they were unable to find their warrior (and ex-Duelmaster) TOE before this
week's fights. In front of all the crowds, NIKALA took the Duelmaster's crown for
hers own. I give the bum two weeks. Can you believe they are paying me 10 gold to
deliver this stuff?
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the ROCANIS arena. Did you
hear that RESCUE RANGERS was most avoided team this week? Well, knowing the personal
hygiene of RESCUE RANGERS' warriors, I'm not surprised! For those of you who like
math, try this one: RESCUE RANGERS + Weapons That go Boom = ELEVENTH HOUR + Avoid
City. Well just about everybody wants a piece of JONNA THANE, who was this week's
most challenged warrior. In a mismatch, our friend ZANDER of ELEVENTH HOUR got
heroic notions and challenged JONNA THANE. What did it get him? A 9-12-1 record,
that's what. To the crowd's chants of 'Bo-zo bo-zo bo-zo', JONNA THANE was taken out
by the lower-ranked ZANDER. (Maybe it's time to think Dark Arena?). In a touching
display by a 'touched' warrior, LION went after THORN, who was higher by 19 points.
Well, when the dust settled, LION was bested by THORN.
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Remember: alliances are great,
but try and take your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in ROCANIS have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. Well, there goes another Spy

To those involved, no, I have not abandoned your stories. But I've been letting them
drift, and that has to stop, so I am taking the time to make sure that I know where
they are going, more than just "what happens next" dreamed up on the fly, before
resuming work on them. No new stories will be started until at least one of the old
ones has concluded, for the same reason: quantity can't substitute for quality.
